Won't bending your back like this cause injury? My friend told me that you need to keep your back 100% straight when you do rows. How do you know you're doing it correctly?

How? It's clearly bent. That's not even an angle, it's a curvature.

I just want to not injure myself doing rows for the first time and the videos I see all seem to have different forms

Looking to pick up a sport for cardio and to have some fun with.

Should I do BJJ or wrestling?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>42274375
both are fun, but I would chose BJJ for rea=liable self defense. there are no "submissions" in wrestling, so what it would offer in a real fight would be take downs and certain holds, along with headlock technique. I think that both mesh nicely with each other and combination grappling is the best sport for fun and self defense
>>
>>42274375
wrestling is way better fitness cardio, BJJ has more practical fight stuff
>>
>>42274375
I'd say start with wrestling, then go into bjj, whilst keeping up wrestling. Bjj has advantages in chokes and different holds which can be used on the streets (not that one should aspire to fight in the streets). However wrestling appears to be a good base, people I've seen who transition into bjj from wrestling do well. And frankly, a hard and fast takedown will be enough to beat most people

Easy as fuark sport with literally no cardio and monotonous as hell. Good for math nerds and people that like order.

Overcompensation. Betas and gammas everywhere. Lots of manlets.
>>
>>42274228

Competition involving lifting a mix of heavy odd implements and conventional weights.
>powerlifting
Competition involving the bench press, deadlift, and squat
>weightlifting
Competition involving the classic Olympic lifts

How is my routine? I really enjoy it at the moment and would like to hear from you if you think I am missing anything. I am aware there is a lot of excercises per day, but I have the time to do it and I enjoy the long gym sessions.

If you think I am missing something important please say. I warm up by running 3-5k at various speeds.

I enjoy compound movements and have strated most days with a mixture of them. The squat in particular I do each day as it's a good full body movement and I need to strengthen my legs from some injuries I have had.

My goal is weight loss so I am doing this on a strict diet which I am sustaining. I understand my lifts might not increase much but I enjoy doing them and once my cut is over I will be ready to keep going with them. I want my improvments to translate well to my sports: tennis, golf, soccer. I have also added a mixture of ab workouts through most days to superset with the previous or later mentioned excercises to raise the pace a little whilst still training core.

Let me know if I am missing any key movements or body parts.

Barbell Squat 3x10
Barbell Power Clean 3x10

Provided you get enough protein/fat and eat an adequate amount of vegetables, is there actually anything wrong with bulking on a heavy carb diet?

I can easily finish a whole baguette in one sitting, this is a good way to add calories. What's the harm?

>>

if you get too fat just do cardio and sprinting for a month

what is too hard to do
>>
>>42273939
>is there actually anything wrong with bulking on a heavy carb diet?
Not particularly wrong. But it's all depending on the ratios you used and what type of carbs

IE: If you're a man such as myself, you'd need to be bulking on 3,500 calories a day
30% has to be fat in order to optimize Testosterone production. About 2 grams of protein per kilogram of LBM is fine. Again if you're a man like me That'd be about 180 grams. Let's just say 180 grams just to be sure. That'd be about 432 grams of carbs.

That'd be a ratio of 30/20/50 fat/protein/carbs. Which is completely fine.

One of the catches is, optimally, you'd want as little sugar as possible. So no low quality carbs like soda or whatnot. But if you have a 3500 calorie diet. You'd get pretty fucking bored of eating chicken and rice every single day. So it's all up to your tolerance of food
