Little things, but nice things.

I haven't been doing fitness long, I used to be pretty fit in high school and college, but since going out to masters school it's gone downhill, I used to be 6'2" 295. Anyway, tripping and falling for me being as fat and weak as I was usually meant busting my ass, but I stumbled while getting up on a platform and not only caught myself with one hand, but pushed off it to right myself. I felt so fucking strong guys. Best I've felt in a long time. It's a tiny tiny thing, but it feels like trying to not be a shitstain is paying off finally.

ok /fit/ i own 2 dumbells which i can change the weights on, and they go up to 10KG each

does anyone have a good dumbbell workout plan? i have a pullup bar i can use as well. upper body strength is the main goal here, i cycle a lot so my legs are fine

25 KG each minimum and that will only last you 3-6 months. Add a barbell and an extra 2 plates and that should last you 18 months.

It takes 1yr to make a good physique from your starting point with a full gym and perfect diet. You are going to be spending more money on food so why not buy better weights.

Depends how bad you want it, though.

if it goes to 20 kg on one (you can also tie them together) then you can do the following one arm exercises.

Kroc Rows
Preacher Curls
Skull crushers
lateral raise

some other two handed ones to know are.
push press
spell casters (advanced)
chest flies
upright rows

You really just wanna go on the BB.com website and look at all the standard exercises you can do.

Can I get some real talk? My right shoulder hurts a little whenever I do many push ups or dumbbell flies. I took a day or two of rest but it didn't help, is there a quick way I can remedy it, or do I just have to make a doctor's appointment? My left shoulder is fine.

by all means continue lifting while rehabbing, but don't do things that aggravate it until it's better.

How do you guys get into position for hip thrusts? I usually sit down with the bar in my lap then scoot my hips forward. Then I use my hands while trying to keep the bar balanced and push my torso out. Then I lay my upper back down and continue scooting until I'm in position. It's all really awkward and an ordeal. Wish there was a better way.
