Yeah you heard me you dapper motherfuckers, get in here and lets discuss the principles we abide that sets us apart from the fuccboi dogs.
Whats got you excited this year- personally for me the McQueen fall stuff is worthy of carrying the torch for a new trend of taking suiting away from the italian style slim fits and back to straight cut, heavy draped american "gangster" suits. I like the alpha sounding buzzwords on the heavy pinstriped stuff : it's almost oppressive, thuggish, and I hope it sparks a "street" style in the menswear to come in following decades.
Not that I'll ever be able to afford this stuff until it's 5 seasons old but hey, inspirational nontheless. What are you guys looking forward to this year?

Not really, it's inspired by WW1
Yeah I get that too, like pic related has definite early 20th century military steez, love the one on the far left.
I get where he comes from when he says uniformity is one of the oldest expressions of equality, but the oppressive aspect I find comes from when that equality can only come of war and the serving of death. The WW1 styling evokes themes of propaganda and desperation which we are saturated with even today. It's a symbol of defiance plastered on a double breasted pinstripe; one of the most conventional classic suits of the lot. What do you think?
I definitely agree from a Couture aspect but unfortunately I'm one of the ones that believe it's a dying market and the key lies in now understating the extravagance of haute' couture in practical dress. The dresses and suits from the house this season are still grand looking don;t get me wrong, but one woudl also feel comfortable wearing it on the street as much as at a show.
Me too bud, tho I have to change my current 'drobe of smart casual to something abit more bespoke now. It's gonna be a good year for creativity.
I know ALexander himself has been dead for ages now but I always cant help but call it "his" work...why did they have to keep his name for the brand dammit; they should of called it House of Designs inspired by the Late Alexander McQueen or something
What do you mean "fashion show shit"; a fashion show can be anything plebe. There are fashion shows for speedos. The stuff you wear? It has been "fashion show shit". Your attempt to be snide just made you look like a dumbass
And please dont everyone dump at once
Do I really need to specify exactly what type of fashion show I was talking about for your puny brain to understand? I think it was quite clear that I was talking about the type of fashion shows where designers go full retarded. OP pic is to clothing what pic related is to art.
I know right! Give me that shit even over the suits and sandals/sneakers with no socks thats dominating the catwalk this year though. A suit should never be worn with socks and goddamn sandles, statement or no.
Ok sorry you stay in your comfort zone then and sub-categorise fashion in a way you can comprehend. And for the record if it weren't for Duchamp and Dada we would still be wearing corsets and tailcoats.
mehico mang, home of the desert elf shoe
They turned the toreador concept shoes into a pretty convincing RtW version tho.
Literally a fuccboi in a suit.
Just go #savilerow and have timeless elegance.
