Techwear Thread
Any of you poorbois going to crop acronym on this next drop?
Not digging their collaboration shoes tbh.
>>9390464
>tfw all the cashmere accessories my poor ass can't afford
Does anyone know when Outlier will do their next drop approximately?
I'm subscribed, they're doing an "as is" sale, probably clearing last inventory, should be soonish.
homeboy birthday
trying to improve muh footwear game. always a bit lacking in techwear inspo.
Wondering if worth having for the sake of summertech kek
mmm compressible and storable blazer, yes plz.
>1 EUR = 1.13 USD
>don't have to pay 19% German tax
:D
Anybody have any experience with the 3xdry used in Maharishi clothes?
>>9390601
I don't, but I really like the cut of their pants. Not a fan of the Acronym pants at all, they have breech aesthetics.
>>9390502
I have this sweater. It's bad ass.
>>9390613
how much?
mandatory
>>9390540
Terrible
>>9390634
Are trainrendors actually waterproof?
>>9390659
Not at all maybe slightly water resistant.
>>9390664
So they're usually posted for the aesthetic?
>>9390612
I can't decide which model I want, the 2339 cargos (right) i'm a fan of because of the pockets and skinny fit but the taped seams kinda irk me especially when it goes down the butt. However the 8805's on the left doesn't have the taped seams and is cheaper, i'm unsure of the fit however. What does /fa/ think?

http://www.maharishistore.com/product/Brand_2339CORARDENCARGOPANTS_3210_20_0_0.html
>>9390713
I think that not posting fits of the pants being worn is the stupidest shit ever. Fuck you maharishi and every other retailer that pulls this shit.
I think the taped seams make them a little more interesting.
>>9390550
name?
>>9390732
Agreed man, can hardly find anyone online with them that posts pics as well
>>9390634
>denim
>techish shoes
why
>tfw triple aught design is out of their tracer jackets
and i was about to place the order too. life is suffering.
>>9390732
>Fuck you maharishi and every other retailer that pulls this shit.
this
>tfw 4th pair of maharishi pants coming in today
>tfw don't like two of em I bought a while back
fugg, shit sucks, these flappy things where the pockets are are annoying as shit
>>9390805
I'm thinking of doing it, hopefully I get this in the mail today
>>9390790
tfw in older models they had models with the pants
What base layers do you guys use? Merino wool shirts? I found most synthetic really irritates my skin, but then again they were cheap as well
>>9390790
those flappy bits look pretty coo doodbro
>>9390820
Cheap choice is supima cotton [uniqlo], but yes ideally merino wool is the best stuff.
COP OR NOT
>>9390525
tfw I actually have money in my account and won't have to save to buy something just for it to sell out
>>9390502
does 4dimensions ever restock? I found out about them last year and was waiting on an item to be restocked, sent them an email but couldn't get in contact
>>9390884
i just signed up for their restock notification :]
>>9390627
Paid $125 for it.
>>9390873
Yeah if you want the shit version of last years Long Sleeve T.
>>9390892
They don't, I got in touch with them on a past product from their first collection in 2013 and they only do one run for their items.
>>9391210
Ah ok, thanks for the heads up
>>9390790
i've got 1 pair of maharashi pants but what really annoys me is because of the way they're tapered they bunch up at my knee when I sit down, when I stand up I have to kind of pull them down with my foot to remove the bunch
how are these for a techwear fit? I'm going for an earth toned fit
>>9390823
w2c?
>>9391621
maharishi nigga
>>9390623
w2c pantsu like these
>>9390464
Eh it looks alright (but where's muh waterproof zipper?). Aesthetically I don't see the connection to Acronym.
Looking forward to the next ACG drop though as long as it includes the bomber Errolson mentioned.
>>9390575
w2c boots, fuck
dont know if this counts as techwear, but if not then i can find some other shit
>>9391809
this is it from the side btw
>>9390749
because pleb
>>9390823
w2c pants like these?
>>9391376
nice
>>9391838
That style is called a jogger, those pants are from maharishi
staying in germany for a month, just came here yesterday. (live in south america).
I really want to get a techwear parka, any shops that are in germany i could go check out?
>>9393251
anyone know where i can grab this hoodie?
>>9393256
this is my favorite fit of all time
W2C bomber?
>>9393499
The white A on the red tag is the Alpha Industries logo.
>>9393503
Doesn't look like the fit of an alpha though, and the cuffs arent alpha either
Nike White Label pieces are starting to pop up on NDC. No sign of the shell but the shacket is "coming soon". Glad there's an olive colorway.
>>9390455
does that mean acronym is going to have a sale?
do they usually drop to 50%
Anybody know some boots that can be incorporated into tech fits? Something a little different to your standard leather one maybe?
>>9393666
lol pleb plz
>>9393666
The only place that has worthwhile sales on Acronym is Endclothing. Last season had what, $700ish jackets and $400 pants? Went fast though.
>>9390570
>summertech
Is this a thing?
I love this style but can't find anything outside of athletic-wear (to keep cool, wick sweat)
>>9394175
aka techxercise. it's a struggle to be honest. my plan for this next summer is basically a light tech rain jacket, a bundeswehr wind breaker and probably an Acronym light WR goretex jacket.
My shirts consist of uniqlo airism or nike dry fit. I haven't had the chance to cop any nice merino shirts yet. For my legs the only thing I have planned are cooling leggings or running tights with shorts over. Whenever the weather allows I wear actual pants, which works because it doesn't get super hot for more than a few weeks where I live. Sneakers is all I have planned for my feet, but I'm thinking about a pair of hiking sandals with goretex socks. Not sure how I feel about that look.
So yeah, it's mostly athletic-wear, the only thing you can do is try and have decent jacket game. I pretty much always go out and about when it rains as a result lol.
>>9394175
Jacket-wise Outlier had some decent summer pieces. Ultralight freeshell (not their most durable fabric but it worked). Mission workshop has their 96gsm polartec neoshell jacket so should be fairly breathable. Other than that merino/synthetic tees, outlier shorts/pants.
>>9390478
what are these pls
Next purchase ;)
>>9393275
Firmament Berlin
>>9395343
Nike x ACRNM AF1
>>9390602
>tfw German and wanted to cop some Outlier pants & shirts
>polar opposite feel
>>9393275
Where are you now? Firmament is pretty much the only source for Acronym and Stone Island / SI Shadow but I might be able to find you somewhere else local.
>>9395666
In Köln, this last days i have felt in love with the 3l tech shell from Isaora, but I honestly would love oto buy it directly at a shop or at least try it on
>>9393251
ID on the trainers?
>>9390550
ID?
>>9390502
it looks like hes wearing an XXL wetsuit
>>9393251
why is he doing that gang sign?
is he IS
>tfw the men's version of this coat looks fucking stupid
>>9396121
its the circle game sign
>>9390612
I believe these pants are sold out. Does anyone know where I can find a pair please?
>>9396081
Reverse search my nig
Damn there needs to be an /fa/ sticky
>>9396187
Yeah I tried that ofc, google image reverse search.. It came up with NB baseball cleats which clearly aren't these.
>>9396195
Did you try clicking "more sizes" and clicking the source links?? Anyway https://www.on-running.com/en-ch
>>9396211
Thanks g
>>9390602
>tfw remember when 1 eur was 1,30 usd
goddamnit
>>9395810
Isaora is only sold online, I think. Can't think of anything else around here. There's always Firmament in Berlin though, and if you swing around we can grab a beer.
>>9390451
One of the best days of my life was setting up this installation with Aitor. One of he coolest guys on the planet. I was able to cop a T and also a mask cap.
>>9396427
Forgot image
>>9396440
shut the fuck up dada
oh my god
please please post a pic of the garuda
>>9396446
Dumping what I have on this phone
>>9396423
vielen dank für die einladung!
Weiss noch nicht ob ich nach Berlin fahre und im online shop hab ich auch nicht was für mich gefunden. Acronym ist leider zu viel.
>>9396427
how much did that shit cost?
>>9396124
i feel like the women's vers. would look fucking terrible in motion
>>9390790
w2c shoes?
>>9390483
The cashmere shemagh is AMAZING. Seriously, really soft, and warm enough to use in -10c. I've even used for a military field exercise, and it held up fine.
>>9390820
Merino is goat. TAD huntsman henley (pic related) is super fucking comfortable, i basically live in that and my m-back ogs (outlier). Mission Workshop and Outlier t-shirts are pretty good
>>9394139
Hanon had a pretty decent sale in the fall. Knocked 30% off my shemagh even though it wasn't originally on sale. Super customer service too!
I spent all summer building up pieces to go with my eventual tech outerwear purchases and winter just keeps on getting closer, I cant wait.
>>9396473
Also holy shit dude beyond jealous, i'd love to even just be able to see some aitor stuff and touch it, let alone owning a piece.
>>9397653
What merino shirts do you have experience with? I'm trying to get a nomadesque wardrobe that I could fit in my backpack and merino shirts would be the best start for that.
>>9395810
Isaora is the plebest of all techwear. They offer no innovation. Do not cop.
>>9398888
Eh but if you like a specific piece of clothing then who cares how innovative it is. I can see that as a criticism of Isaora in general tho
>>9398915
Just saying I think they charge too much for what they offer.
>>9397653
It better fucking be. It's $600 or $700?
>already planning on copping two Acrnm jackets, one neck gaiter and a shoulder bag next drop.
>also going to cop a julius leather
>too poor to cop a bunch of cashmere Acrnm this season
we'll see what happens I guess. also going to drop another $500 on a pair of church's chelseas.
>>9391753
Is it a Nike x ACG or an Acronym bomber you are speaking about? Sort of interested, but I just copped an Ervell bomber made of italian rubberized cotton that qualifies as tech imo.
>>9398888
but there arent much alternatives, got a tech-styled jacked in that price range or lower?
>>9398888
I have been searching all this days for another jacket but they all look like dad-outdoor styled
>>9399342
That's basically the only reason Isaora is successful, they are mid tier price point. I wish I could be more helpful, but I'm fully into Acronym to be honest. You could try Arcteryx Veilance or Stone Island Shadow, but their styling is much more tame.
You could try this company called Endless Ammo, they are made in san francisco and very reasonable. But their styles are hit and miss for some people and their coolest stuff has sold out and been removed. You can still see it in their look book photos. I like their bomber, too. I'll cop one of their Long Range Patrol jackets in black eventually.
>>9399375
yea, I was just checking the site, don't really like acronyms colors on stock (and if I would buy a jacket i couldn't do all the plans i have for my stay in germany) and i'm also looking somthing with a hood, the rest are just basically bomber jackets and blazers.
>>9399367
thanks for the help! I will check the site right now!
I dig these.
>>9399379
Their ss14 photos are down, maybe it's just me, but otherwise they may be preparing ss15 drop.
What's a decent slim fitting jacket for XS/short people that's under $200?
>>9399437
yeah i remember seen that fotos, looked nice.
oh man its making me crazy not finding somthing nice.
doesn't normal brands like the north face have some "stylish" jackets ? I have no hope.
>>9399469
http://www.hhv.de/shop/de/artikel/suit-river-parka-black-381358 ??
>>9396451
Damn, is there any like replica or w/e I could ever get of the Garuda that won't go for >500 euros?
>>9390823
what model are these?
>>9399538
That is a season or two old, sold out a while ago. They don't repeat in my two years of following them.
>>9401611
bump as well
>>9399113
ACG. In one of the interviews Errolson said there's gonna be a Spring drop that includes a bomber jacket.
Any recommendations on a good, warm, versatile jacket? I wear an Icebreaker Sierra normally, it's very lightweight and cosy but the slightest wind cuts through it like a knife. I was thinking about getting something insulated so I could use it as a midlayer under a shell but I'm open.
fjallraven- tech or not?
thinking bout incorporating
requesting pic of fake yung lean tweet
>>9402703
It's tech
But it's more hiking and /out/ clothing than high fashion or the "urban" tech everyone jerks off to here.
Great fucking quality shit though, can't really go wrong with Fjällräven if you think you can rock it.
is white mountaineering tech ?
might cop these pants off of grailed
>>9402703
I have Fjallraven trousers because I do a lot of /out/ stuff. I can't imagine the cut would be considered /fa/ as they are roomy for activities where you wouldn't want to be inhibited.
I'd take them over any 'techwear' trouser for /out/ activities anyway.
>>9402703
Definite tech. Slash another great pair of pants to look into are the Eddie Bauer First Ascent climbing pants. Amazing quality
>>9402741
What material are your pants? Nylon?
>>9390537
I'm surprised these are Nike. they don't look like complete ass or have shitty branding all over them (from this angle anyway)
>>9402756
Whatever that G1000 is and some other stretchy material.
again:
doesn't normal brands like the north face, nike have some "stylish" jackets ?
"In a metropolis in the not too distant future is a bunch of kids having fun with video game adventures.
Between its tall skyscrapers and elevated roadways, they explore the city with lightning speed bikes and skateboards and coloured lasers.
This is the setting of the Stone Island Junior_Spring Summer ’015 collection."
>>9402798
Nike White Label/ACG
>>9402908
i saw that jacket a while ago but I really think the zippers look really ugly
looks like techwear is loosing its popularity on /fa/
>>9403176
that's because everyone here is poor
>>9403652
Agreed barely anyone can afford ACRNM. Will post my cops.
>>9403652
Nah, it's a lack of creativity. Cheaper stuff can look fine in tech fits, but you can't just be imitating acronym. You have to actually think critically about it...and then probably tailor your shit. /fa/ doesn't do that so well.
>>9402908
>>9402925
i bought it - the waterproof zippers do look a bit ugly but actually reminded me of arcteryx and upon further research it really does seem like an $300 arcteryx jacket except you can fold in the hood with cheap buttons
Just copped these, are they techy enough? Bought them for 50$ even though they're the hundreds
>>9403896
"are they techy enough" who gives a fuck lol there isn't some tech police doing parkour all over the place under the urban skyline to monitor techwear fits all over the world
>>9404085
he's obviously trying to justify buying the hundreds and being on the same level as mission workshop
Muh taped seams
>>9398863
Ahh damn. I'm more of a 27.5-28. If I wanted to make a listing to find a seller, do you know the best places to do so? Sufu? and/or? Thanks!
>techfags
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iihkxAwYig
>>9404724
Those are running fags who happen to wear the most pleb tech.
>tfw trunks sold that leather you were eyeing
fuck it i'm just going to cop more acronym this spring.
>>9396427
you interning or just help?
>>9403652
I really don't understand.
For me it has more logic to invest in jackets with high quality materials than 1000 dollar rick owens shoes
btw i guess i'm going to cop the Tilak Asgard Jacket
http://www.tilak.cz/en/product/ASGARD
There are some nice looks from japanese guys on the internet wearing it
>>9408118
nice samefagging, looks shit.
Arcteryx just replaced an Alpha SL I had since 2011. I had ripped big holes in it and some of the seems were coming delaminated.
They replaced it no questions asked, sent me a new jacket.
The new model doesn't have the pit zips I liked about the old one.
My local store gave me store credit and I special ordered a Beta SL Hybrid and I paid the difference.
It's basically the exact same thing as the Alpha SL I had before, except it's zippers are lower quality, probably not waterproof.
The pull tabs are a little easier to use, but also seem lower quality.
I'm not sure how I feel about this considering it's a 350 dollar jacket, but hey, that return policy is rad.
>>9408819
Yeah some of their stuff is pretty much old Acronym minus forcelock/jacketsling etc
>>9410451
>tfw erolson looks like a slim version of my brother but not like me
