I'd prefer something with a collar so you get a properly layered/framed effect. A random sliver of skin like in that picture feels kind of awkward to me.

I agree, I don't like the neck sliver. I was thinking something like this to wear it with "in place" of the cowl collar some jackets have. I just don't think that's a feature I want built in. I'm just now sure how it will sit with a traditional fold down collar.

A short stand collar like would probably do exactly what you want.

Its a Apolis Chore coat, just figured /fa/ wouldn't like it, because its workwear.
The shoulders are a bit tight when my arms are completely forward but that's about it, it is boring though.
