Bieber is now a fuccboi. In a couple months he will be memechrome.
/fa/'s current aesthetic is doomed.
Every fashion forum does.
mfa = mancore (manly things like leather, denim, and boots)
/r/streetwear = thrifted polo windbreakers, khaki chinos and footlocker nikes
styleforum = dadcore
/fa/ = dressed by the internet (apc, acne, cp, stan smiths, rick, raf etc.)
sufu = nxtlvl
caretags, sz = cuck-core
beiber wore rick years ago. he's wearing mono there and does all the time, if you're too much of a pussy to wear something you like because some popstar does you need a reality check
Why do you smoke so damn fast?” I asked.
She looked at me and smiled widely, and such a wide smile on her narrow face might have looked goofy were it not for the unimpeachable elegant green in her eyes. She smiled with all the delight of a kid on Christmas morning and said, “Y’all smoke to enjoy it. I smoke to die.
I’m not hot or gorgeous. I don’t have an amazing figure or a flat stomach. I’m far from being considered a model but, I’m me. I eat food, I have curves, I have more fat than I should, I have scars, I have a history. Some people love me, some like me, some don’t like me. I have done good, I have done bad. I’m random and crazy, I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not. I am who I am, you can love me or not. And if I love you, I do it with all my heart.

I hate rings and bracelets on men. I'm not a fan of man bags, or girl bags either—or even sunglasses. I don't like fussy accessories. Isn't it more chic to be free? Every jacket I make has interior pockets big enough to store a book and a sandwich and a passport.
enough cuck-core inspo for today, boys and girls
really?? the alaska one is okay cuz it's kinda sad that the girl dies at the end, but the cancer patient one they made a movie about is really boring and lame
i've only read those 2 books but they're almost identical - two edgy teens who love books and smoking fall in love, then one of them dies before their relationship goes anywhere
it's really fake and gay how the characters recite poetry and memorize book authors because nobody does that in real life
can you explain why john green is god tier pls???
>wearing a oversized tee that he has to hold up
>skating in slip ons that will tear in 10 pops
>wearing fucking leather/wax pants
this nigga can't be serious
the alaska book the girl dies half way
but yeah his books all have the same premise and it's boring
read alaska before fault and fault just seemed like a horrible carbon copy
anyway i do recite poetry and memorize authors of books but i'm definitely not having the two be the main motifs of itl conversations
btw not the guy you replied to
camus and hemingway and kerouac and kafka are goats to me
what books from those authors do you recommend?
so?? bieber is also god-tier in the entertainment realm; doesn't mean the songs his writers come up with are any good
lots of qts like bieber too (if ur still a preteen)
/lit/ would bash me but
hemingway's garden of eden
camus' the stranger
kerouac's on the road
the love song of j alfred prufrock by t s elliot is my favorite poem
i laughed when it was referenced in fault in our stars
and which one is worth reading first lol
i barely have time to read :((
kafka's is a short story
it's a wtf just happened book hahaha read that one first
hemingway's technically doesnt lead anywhere. it was found on him when he died and the publisher's took out a midplot/storyline so that one also isn't very complete, in all senses of the word
i read the stranger in half an hour
if you ever have a lot of time to read, read toni morrison's beloved
the hemingway book sounds really interesting from what you described
metamorphosis is about a guy who turns into a caterpillar or something right? friend recommended it but i haven't read it yet
thanks for the reading list yo
well if you include end of season sale raf dipdyes, then yeah a couple people do
hemingway's book is very interesting, at least to me
it's about a writer and his wife honeymooning in europe, mainly france spain and italy i think, and then they both fall in love with a separate woman
the book touches on adultery and androgyny and a bit on homosexuality
i thought it was amazing
metamorphosis has the main character turn into a cockroach so you were close. when you read that make sure to keep track of his decisions and also pay attention to the sister
oh also Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man is a great book, i think by james young
i actually never finished it, by far the hardest book i've tried to read
Kerouac can't write for shit, he has like 10 amazing paragraphs in each novel, the rest is shit. I mean, you should read On The Road just for how important it was, and it might make you all excited about leaving your boring high-school life, but really saying Kerouac was a great writer or an amazing person is objectively wrong (yes).
There are lots of authors, like too many. Read Carver, DFW (his essays are way better than his fiction), the most famous Pynchon, Joyce, Baldwin, IDK.
I feel Kerouac and Hemingway are so acclaimed just because they are kind of different in a Tarantino-esque kind of way, just shock value, they get old fast.
You might want to start with the Greeks tho
OMG yessss taylor is the best
blank space was better than beethoven and mozart combined
she's so pretty i'd marry her hnnnhg
>tfw the Swift will never shake my hand
in times like this I think about spending loads of money in surgery, i need like 5 inches more, a nose job, and a penis enlargement to fill TayTay with all my love.
You're right, we would bash you. I guess I was assuming a little bit too much when I thought there was decent crossover between the two boards.
Everything you mentioned is basic as fuck and certainly not worthy of being called GOAT, but it's a start. Pls don't give up reading or stick to the same people for the rest of your life, you may actually have the potential to be an interesting person.
keep in mind that, besides the garden of eden, all the books and authors i listed were ones that were assigned to me my last year of high school.
so, on my own now, which books would you recommend?
I'll read anything recommended; I'm currently reading 50 Shades because a girl i know said it was "great".
may goy, all this bait
don't you mean your last year of elementary school? read /lit/s sticky, don't forget political fiction, essays, poetry and stuff other than novels.
finish reading A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, it is, imo, Joyce's finest works, and the most accessible by far, push through it, it is not hard at all, really. it is not shades-of-gray-easy but it is not fucking nuts, if it is the hardest book you've tried to read, you better step up your game fast.
lol dude you look fine
don't be so insecure
adidas stan smith
what he's wearing is practically the /fa/ uniform lol
there was a whole inspo thread like yesterday with just that except with black parkas on
i remember reading a farewell to arms by hemingway a couple months ago
got bored by the 10th page and never finished it lol
All you people give insufferable recommendations. Why is there no mention of Finnegan's Wake? I knew /fa/ exemplified plebeian, but I didn't expect the potential minority to be so disgustingly plebeian.
i'll read the sticky
i kept away from /lit/ since it's as elitist as /mu/, but then again so is /fa/
i dont meant hardest as in oh man i dont understand this, but as in it was difficult for me to get invested into it
i wrote my AP Lit Exam essay on it and somehow passed without finishing the book, so clearly i understood it enough
i like t s elliot, what other poets should i study?
stan smiths jesus
you would probably like haruki murakami, he's often derided for writing a lot of similar stuff but he's decent, try Kafka on the Shore.
Raymond Carver's short stories are great, there's probably a few anthologies but What We Talk About When We Talk About Love is probably a good place to start.
One of my favourite books is The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster, it's a trilogy of metafictional detective stories.
Because Joyce is insufferable. Also there's no apostrophe in Finnegans.
Ezra Pound, Erat Hora is my favourite poem. Check out some other modernists, manifestos as well as poems. You should be able to find an college level modernism collection fairly cheaply that will give you a good grounding.
theyre raf simons, but not rafcore
i bet no one in this place would ever be able to wear anything from this season's sterling ruby collab, seeing as how everyone here is mad insecure about their height
