High end sneaker inspiration thread.
Nothing is a meme in the real world children, remember that.
geos are like the inbred, ugly child of sk8 hi's and AF1's.
RO x Adidas look so stupid that if I ever saw someone wearing them (thank god I haven't) I'd laugh in their face
Only acceptable ones are Ramones and even those look like a bozo the clown x converse collab
you faggots will jump on anything with a price tag over $500 and a designer name backing it
All this basic-ass "muh minimalist avantgarde" crap
Do you kids ever look outside the /fa/ approved memê designers?
I've read before that the rubber of the CCP shoes eventually wears down so it becomes more of a normal shoe, albeit made of kangaroo leather and probably still has a much greater lifetime. I'm not sure about the boris bidjan saberi shoes, but they are blown with light cement after being constructed normally. I'm guessing that it doesn't make too much of different in terms of the versatility, but you have to remember that designers like them aim for much more artistic standards than others
Not really, most people here can't afford this kind of stuff. I only own one pair of expensive sneakers and I saved a lot for them.
These shoes are almost as ridiculous as the pants being worn ITT.
i jumped on your mum and she was less than $0
Love these Dries van Noten shoes.
I just cannot fathom why you would want so many colourways of the same shoe.
Coming through with some shit that hasn't been posted a million times before
Saw this in a recent inspo thread. Really good use of these (otherwise obnoxious) sneakers.
Alors on a acheté des Rickidas? Pas trop mal au cul?
anybody know if you can remove the strap on givenchy
Fucking ridiculous amount of just geobaskets, I mean even if I was rich enough to cop that many pairs, and really liked them, I would invest in different shoes entirely, geobaskets are kinda statement shoes and certainly don't go with every fit (unless you are full con Tricky-core) and even though the velcors aren't as much of a statement, they certainly don't go with very fit either.
Impressive collection tho, just seems kinda pointless.
It's just not the price, it's more just the pure amount, like I said, it's pretty impressive but is single person really going to get use of all of the pairs?
Like I could see owning 2 or even 3 pairs of different colorways but beyond that it just gets kinda pointless in my opinion as far as actual use you get out of them goes.
But then there are all sorts of sneakerheads out there, collecting rick is as legit as any other shoe really.
Please stop throwing around the term GOAT so liberally. Dior has had so many fucking menswear collections, many of them great, and literally no one would agree that fw14 was the greatest of all time
Tell me about Qasa
How do these size? Would usually be a UK 9 but considering going down to an 8.5 so I don't look like a clown
I'll dump a few I have that I find to be decent.
Based Tommy Ton kills it.
>no one can ID the non-RO shoes in the photo
>still buy only RO meme-foot-catchers, post RO, and debate RO
I honestly don't understand if dunks are so emblematic to people of "their particular fashion" why they don't seek alternatives just as actively. If it's all about the shoe and them, there should be no reason for dunks to have so much sway, in fact they should have no sway at all. Why do they limit themselves? Is it that hard? It's so fucking easy to find other shoes in the mode that dunks are in, yet I'll be damned if I've ever seen a pair on /fa/.
Are you dense? How am I at all being defensive? All I did was point out the poor trolling atempt and trolling is a joke at an other persons expense so I really think you're retarded.
pic related, it's you
Is it possible to pull off geos in a streetwear fit and not just goofninja?
what would you wear with them?
i have yet to see a good streetwear fit with geos
These aren't geos obviously but they could be substituted into the outfit for a very similar look.
how chunky are they compared to ricks?
i think i could pull them off with my wardrobe because they are a little bit more 'street' looking than ricks. but i don't want fucking Gundam feet. i'm around 5'10/5'11 with a long torso so i doubt i can pull them off if they are too chunky like geos or something.
i really wanted the all black horsehair models from this season but i can only find size 42. im usually 41 but depending on sizing i might be able to get away with it. again, any help there?
"Nice KVA Icarus' fag!!!"
B-But they aren't KvA's
these aren't SFTM x Macdonald i swear
not sure which season these astros are from
L&F by ria dunn SS14
too bad i have a case of deja vu when i look thru their stuff
anyone have hands-on experience with the brand?
look like my fucking marching band shoes
These are what I marched in.
Probably cheaper too
They have the reebok pump sole and it's honnestly one of the most durable soles I ever had experience with. I have a pair of omni pumps I wore as beaters for maybe 4 years, there is only light wear in the heel. captcha : old fa
Only pic I got.
Also, could someone help me with the KvA multi lace sizing? Some say that it's 2 sizes up other 0,5.
>Inb4 He's a hack
Yes yes we all know
interesting, thanks. I have a pair of KVA surgery sneakers, size 44 and there's some room in the toe box, but I feel if I would have gotten size 43(my regular size) they would have been too tight all around. I put a memory foam insole and now they fit perfect. I think they might be bigger on purpose for you to be able to put ergonomic insoles inside, since those flat rubber soles are not doing your feet any favors.
Bold prediction. I guess I could see it happening though. It just seems like there isn't much that's available today that goes well with them. All the fits I've seen with them use skinny jeans which accentuate the horse hoof look. Maybe an all around looser fit would work.
Fit large as fuck.
Size down and be aware that they are fucking wide. They're are literally bags tied around your feet. Zipper can be a bit tough to pull. Otherwise they're pretty decent
for real, i ve bot it by a bit more price last year, it was smthing like 60$ per pair, but as you know our economic goes down, so the 50$ looks like a bit more than price in offlane shop now(thought is shoud be around 40-35 for now).
And yes, they a cheap and good, i was very glad to find them first time.
Ya mine are kinda narrow, I don't know how that would work for you. I'm pretty sure they fit the same as CPs and all other shoes that use margom soles. I would ask mifune is he's around since I think he has more experience with KVAs and CPs, he's the one who I talked to before getting my surgery sneakers
Last one. If you're going for a streetwear type fit, I'd say the geo colorways without contrasting uppers are your best bet.
What brand name should I be searching to find these?
I'll keep an eye out for him, thanks for the advice
man, this sucks. so few people wear Geos properly; that is to say that the majority of waywt posters wearing them wear them with dark skinnies and hoodies/t-shirts/bombers/whatever
they're chunky sneakers. Rick himself wears baggy shit, that should be proof positive of the intended silhouette. Not that you must confine yourself to a single look with Geos but a big drapey fit would flatter the sneakers so much more. even straight-leg pants covering the tongue
there's a reason so many people think they look like clown shoes. its the same reason why people wearing rafdidas look stupid with skinnies
This is so true, so man people don't understand how garments are supposed to work together. If you have an overall baggy fit but you wear skinny jeans it seems to me like it just ruins the whole fit. What's worse is that most of you have disgusting knock knees and your legs just look gross in super skinny jeans.
>tfw no prada spaceshoes to step on dick ovens with
I posted this for the guy asking about KVA sizing in the QASA thread,
Okay the multilace in my experience fits larger, but I had the originals. I'm a 43 and i bought the 42s and they were perfect. Since they use the same soles as CPs and SLPs
With the KVA runner they fit true to size.
These were a little too similar to the SFTM x Andrew MacDonald sneaker boots
>how chunky are they compared to ricks?
almost equally chunky, but geobaskets still are much more noticeable because of the supersized tongue.
i feel like i'm often off with sizing when dealing with others so it's just advice: you probably shouldn't size up, but it *could* work because unlike say geobaskets they aren't that roomy in width. if you're buying from somewhere you can get returns if it doesn't fit you could try it.
I see the similarity in style lines, but lace vs. zip, welted vs. cupsole, and even the difference in grain makes it pretty prominent. I would assume that in person, the two look very different, though I've only seen the SFTM model up close.
