you weren't joking about your computer being in German
>>9203351
You mean the keyboard. My OS is in English. I just tend to switch the keyboard settings around by accident.
>>9203207
nice visvim
what does /fa/ think?
second pair of these babies, extra comfy with a flannel/pullover and kodiak boots
also rad with a button-up
>>9203364
yes, that's what I meant. Is your first language German? Doesn't switching keyboards just mess up how you punctuate or have you gotten used to a US keyboard?
>>9203373
Yeah, I'm born and raised here. Also the switching around is mostly for programs that force english keyboard layouts. Punctuation isn't affected much in there.
How long have you been in Germany up until now? I know you're back in Canada but I mean in general.
>>9203260
It's really hard to get them in certain fits and sizes without overpaying. They're only 145€ or something on kapital.jp but out of stock of course
>>9203388
german to english daily usage ratio?
in japan i can get away with "not knowing" how to speak it while people talk shit to my face when it's convenient
also, can't read japanese since i learned the language by being yelled at as a kid
so like, imagine a fully grown american male coming up to you in perfect german and saying
"excuse me sir, will you please read this for me, i cannot read?"
-------
also, say you met up with tripskank (like many people on /soc/ and /adv/ did) would you try to have sex with her just to say you did?
>>9203388
I only started learning German in 2012 and spent about a month there. In 2013, I was there for about three months total (over three visits) and this year I spent about 5 months in Germany (four consecutively for two language courses). I'm above a B2 level, but achieving C1 and higher is a lot more difficult without everyday practice (I only have classes at my university two days a week and my language understanding isn't always improving). I'm hoping that if I get a job that makes me speak German over the summer I can become closer to fluent
>>9203406
50/50, I use A LOT of English. Me and the gf talk a lot of english in general. I started to forget German words because the English counterpart came to mind quicker.
Also no because gf
>>9203419
Sounds like a plan. Maybe you should start watching German movies too. I've only watched the english versions of non-german movies for years now and it helped immensely. If you ever visit Berlin hmu. No worries, I pay for my own food and drink.
>>9203435
>I use A LOT of English
fuck, so i guess it's all over the world that the japanese/american/irish/italian phenomenon is occurring. native languages slowly dying with newer generations
only country/race of people that are refusing to adopt english are the spanish speaking nations
so the mexican migrants working here illegally refuse to learn a word of english and we accommodate them for some reason
everything in southern cal is in english-spanish
>>9203458
Well, if I DO speak German I do it proper.

im so excited for these pants I'm reposting
>>9203214
Love me some Kapital, but I don't think I have the wardrobe/look to pull it off. I just have a pair of subtly plaid jeans that I wear occasionally. Nice to see you posting here again btw.

I've been wearing the 30s prisoner jacket almost daily for a half a year now. Really nice stuff. Though I gotta stop getting too much. I got 3 ring coat variants (Denim, Rubberized, Long twill) which seems enough with all the other coats and jackets I got from them. It's not really something that is ready to wear if you want to play it safe.
>>9204893
Kommt auf die Person an. Wenn man am ende nur in seiner Bude rumhockt ist Berlin Verschwendung.
