How does one downplay his lower body while making the upper mody seem more proportionate? I suffer from t rex syndrome from all dem squats and oats, and I feel like my legs look too big for my upperbody when dressed. Should I wear black jeans or something?
Show your ass, ideally both a back and side (to check dat there pelvic tilt) view brah. You might be too quad dominant in your squatting. You need proper hip drive for building glutes proportional to your quads.
Done correctly, the squat is the only exercise in the weight room that trains the recruitment of the entire posterior chain in a way that is progressively improvable. These are the things that make the squat the best exercise you can do with barbells and, by extension, the best strength exercise there is.

I have huge legs already from years of varsity soccer in HS and starting SS in freshman year college did NOT help with fitting into my pants, so I'm taking it easy with squats. I'm not aiming to be a powerlifter, ain't nothin wrong with that
Your legs are in the sweet spot of mass, a little more mass than that and you'll look shitty fashion-wise. Wear tappered dark jeans.
