It's fucking november and I still don't have a winter jacket. Where to cop a nice black/dark blue parka?
I really like this one, but it's almost €400.
>>9044826
cheap monday has some cheap ones
Bump for op I also don't have one and have to move around a lot on my bicycle due to business it's fuccen cold at times
I got a decent looking one at h&m.Its really fucking huge, and long. Its quite cool for under 100$
>>9044826
The only choice
>>9045200
Pics?
>>9045217
already got a stephan schneider parka, but this one is way cooler
>>9044826
coped adidas one, 130€ and it looks pretty good imo.
Really liked the colour
W2C medium parka with waterproof qualities? Doesn't need to be perfect just for those days when it is rainy and a little cold.
Is the Uniqlo reversible one waterproof? It is nylon, but I've read that water soaks through.
Note: My budget is much greater, but less is more in this case since I have a lot of other outerwear.
Also OP, cop an alpha industries. They are pretty comfy.
i need some recommendations
w2c shorter parka/jacket that hides my ass thats
>warm enough to survive the winter
>rainproof
>looks good
>costs up to 200€
rainproof is the least important part so i might sacrifice that if i can attain my other goals
>>9045275
Wow, it looks like a great winter jacket. Seems warm and cosy as fuck
Why would you cop a parka in 2014? Answer my question which is obviously supreme. W2c a proper, not too expensive, top coat?
>>9045246
What one do you have? I want the wick jacket on grailed but i'm broke atm
what do you think of this?
>>9045217
W2C?
When are we going to get the equivalent of the 'Han Solo' college campus pic but with parkas?
>>9045374
no where ;__;
>>9045388
Every fucking time I find something I like
>>9045392
i thought i saw a stephan schneider parka that looked like this earlier
not 100% sure tho
>>9045290
Those are just not parkas..
>>9045388

>>9045506

>>9045476
>9045476

>>9045476

>>9045633
coats were really cheap, about €100 (has to be paid cash)
>>9045653
fucking HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
I really need to move to antwerp
Is it an expensive city/country?
>>9045653
how much for the tee ?
>>9045658
anywhere in europe is expensive
>>9045665
t costed me €60, the material is so nice
>>9045671
60€ is still a lot, considering coats are 100€ and raf motos 150€
>>9045658
Antwerp is expensive
>>9045676
I bought a supernice knit and a sweet t-shirt for a total of 230€, retail would've been atleast twice that price so I can't complain
>>9045388
man, stephan schneider's outerwear is so fucking good. fuck
I've been looking for a wool camel coat like that for ages.
>>9045388
>>9045392
Coats and jackets, the most annoying thing in fashion : When you finally found the one you like and that fits you well, it's out of stock.
>>9045807
how would i know it fits u well if its out of stock
>>9045200
>decent looking
>h&m
>>9045533

>>9045950

>>9045955

>>9045971

>>9045964

>>9045964
i know it's norse but if i didnt i could never read it
is white acceptable?
this is right on my budget
>>9045975
the winter jackets are like 5 times that money anon :(
>>9045971
W2c please (what model of norse projects ?) and is there a black one ?
>>9046001
http://www.norseprojects.com/store/aw14/outerwear/hugo-light
>>9045999
yes, because they're supposed to stop you from freezing to death. you don't have to buy a new one every year, so invest in a decent once.
>>9046012
but what if im still growing
>>9046013
then ur not old enough to be here :^)
>>9045998
>white outerwear
this will bring you nothing but misery
I just got a vintage M65 parka for £100-odd
It is cozy as fuuuuuck
>>9046017
no im 18 but im afraid i will still grow
i read somewhere that humans may grow until we are ~21
worst thing is that i am ideal height at this point
>>9045275
w2c?
>>9046022
thanks
what do you think for €320 ??
My conscience won't allow me to buy the jacket i like because it seems too much for an item of clothing.
>i'll never be able to waste money
>i'll never be /fa/
what you think?
>>9046248
ducky?
>>9046248
Like the idea—the texture and detailing remind me of EG a bit—but obviously the styling leaves a to be desired. The item itself is clearly too large for you, though.
>>9046248
sort the sleeves and your looking p good
>>9046257
As a follow up, I don't know what your climate is, but an unlined/unfaced/unfilled coat will only get you through certain kinds of weather.
>>9046257
I brought it to a tailor in the meantime, still too big?
>he texture and detailing remind me of EG a bit
it's by Facconable
>>9046303
(just to clarify, the picture above was someone else wearing it, I bought it from him, it was too big for me as well and I got it tailored but I'm still not sure about the fit)
*Faconnable
>it's november
>already cold as fuck
>still don't own a jacket
im about to drop 500€ on a norse projects parka and i don't even think it looks that great
>>9046323
you can get much nicer things for 500 euro
>>9046323
how many weeks do you go to work for that money?
>>9046323
norse projects' quality is shit compared to some other brands that cost around the same
>>9046132
nope
>>9046329
>>9046342
can you recommend something?
the lell money i have to spend the better
what im looking for at this point is a parka or a jacket that's not super long but long enough to cover my ass
>>9046337
500€ is a lot of money for me, i don't own an item of clothing that costs anywhere near as much
to be honest i doubt that all the clothes i wear on the regular right now are worth 500€
>>9046360
I dont know. Look around *internet places to sell cool clothing*. Alternatively, go to nearest mall/clothing shop and buy something cheaper there, wont be much worse than norse projects.
>>9046372
>*internet places to sell cool clothing*
but anon i dont know any of those :(
>>9046360
if you're willing to spend 500€ you can easily get something from engineered garments, our legacy, carven etc.
what color are you looking for? wool or normal cotton?
>>9046360
Get a Fjallraven Yupik or Barents parka.
Ok let's try this.
I'm looking for a longish overcoat, grey wool, good texture. Price range up to 500$.
>tfw no Kva/Dior mone
jdisma
>>9046047
after 18: only if you're still growing, or have taller parents
after 21: not likely
after 24: done for sure
(for men)
p.s. don't be afraid to buy clothes; you kind of need them
>tfw too manlet for a parka
what's a good, comfy anorak?
>>9046047
what is ideal height? unless you're already like 6'4/5 everyone can benefit from a little growth
>>9046414
the Greenland jacket is available in a lot of materials and colours, all without fur.
http://www.fjallraven.com/clothes/jackets?id=21&gender=411
>>9046303
woah
i know kung fu
>>9046401
A.P.C I guess?
Look for Mac Coats
>>9046447
thanks anon, i think the greenland parka looks nice
do you have any idea what the sizing is like?
im measuring things at it seems really big
>>9046477
Generally size down 1. I'm medium but my greenland jacket is size S.
Tried on Barents parka last year and had to get XS. Definitely use the actual measurements.
what kind of coats or jackets can you wear to look bad ass?
like what kind of coat or jacket would you expect this guy to wear when it's cold outside?
>>9046514
Just watch X Files, you'll know it
>>9046535
I mean the character Hank Moody, not the actor.
if my shoes are white, i wear slightly oversized earth tone/navy sweaters and black skinny jeans
can my jacket/parka blue black too?
>>9046648
oh fuck me
>blue black
its supposed to be black, the question is if parka/jacket could be black
What do you guys think of this?
>>9046648
kind of. but as a rule avoid white shoes with dark clothing, try to have at least a grey on the top half
>>9046667
Overplayed as fuck, atleast where I live
>>9046671
and that is? I'm in East London atm
>>9046673
France
When I take a ride in the bus, 2/3 of the persons have a synthetic fur parka like that.
Carhartt parka like that are worn by wannabe streetwear A$AP riders
Tbh you have a lot of different options, for that price tag
>>9046683
Gimme some options then fam
I'll rock same one as last year, pic related.
>>9046695
>shirt under a sweatshirt
yucky
Invest in knits/jumpers if you wanna do that sorta thing
>>9046690
Just read the thread, there are pretty good models
>>9046695
w2c a parka similar to this one but a little bit shorter?
>>9046700
Cheap Monday's new Stay Parka is gorgeous.
>>9046705
but it's just as long isn't it?
>>9046718
Tbh I'm not sure. I'm 183cm and that common jacket is a small. The model is 187cm and wears a medium.
The common jacket almost touches my knees, while the Stay is easily an inch or two above for the model.
My best advice is to try different jackets out.
holy shit, sometimes I love yoox so fucking much. Just copped this White Mountaineering coat for 300 bucks. Retailed for more than a grand. I hope it fits. Jap sizing can fuck a lanklet in the ass sometimes.
>>9045290
I bought the pocketable uniqlo one today and it is the best sort of waterproof (completely bounces off and the material stays warm) but I'm not sure about this one it seemed waterproof in store but a cheaper sort of waterproof... if you know what I mean
>>9046781
Fuck I love White Mountaineering
Thinking about copping this Our Legacy overcoat from Tres Bien.
Any other black/grey (not charcoal) overcoat suggestions?
Must be a brand that generally has longer fits as I'm 6'4. Considering the Acne version as well but I quite like the concealed buttons.
>>9048369
Duhh. Here's the pic
>>9048369
I only have a suit jacket from Our Legacy, but from the stuff I tried on it didn't seem like it was made for 6'4 people. You should try a really long coat. Most people can't pull them off because they're too short.
>>9047953
I might cop it then, just because if the pocketable one is polyester, then I'd assume the nylon reversible parka would be around the same quality.
Cheers anon.
considering buying a camel coat, what are your opinions on this kind of coat? somewhat preppy, but still.
>>9049694
>preppy
lel what
It's basically standard Menswear along with a black and navy topcoat.
what do you guys think?
>>9049694
I look sick in a camel topcoat. But I'm tall and blond. Buy it if you're tall enough.
>>9049920
was thinking about this one as well
Eddie Bauer superior down parka or superior down jacket. Very simple style, good quality, and warm
>>9049932
>Buy it if you're tall enough.
I'm 177. 5'9'.5
Also, Kanye is even smaller.
>>9050350
why do you manlets always measure in half inches? you're just 5'9" and you know it. lying on the internet will get you nowhere in life
>>9046648
Yes u can
>>9050354
>people grow in perfect one inch segments
>>9050354
>manlets
>soild average height
>>9050387
u avin a giggle m8? average male height is 5'11
>>9050403
average from self reported measurements. with shoes on.
>>9050403
5'11 in internet and/or street polls, 5'9 is irl
just what i see, man.
half(yeah, thats kind of a lot) of males(actaully, it seems like 40%, but maybe thats because we're non-sporty betas getting stem degrees) are higher than me, while the another ones are shorter
>>9049694
Can I into ctOScore?
what do you guys think about long parkas? I'm almost 19o cm and want something to keep my ass warm. Won't poeple think
>trenchcoat, mus be a public masturbator
