I'm not sure if a solo he counts as a band, but I really like the general aesthetic and atmosphere that James Blake cultivates. Not only in his personal style but in his music, which I would say are seamless as far as artist styling/music production goes.
Never heard of him but I agree. I feel the same with Trent Reznor, setting aside any feelings for his music you have to agree his aesthetic matches his music
>tfw you'll never be danish postpunk-core
love these guys
he's kanye's favourite artist so
the aesthetics of his videos / albums / etc are pretty good
better than the music tho... as music, idk, it's middling. sometimes it works but often it doesn't
Stopped listening to them after their first album and they went with all the techno shit. Then they bailed on a show I was going to. Zach Hill is the shit but they're about as un-punk as you can get. Not showing up to gigs repeatedly is fucking ridiculous
Foxygen pre-anorexia were /fa/ as fuck, and also made good music
Eat something goddammit!!
no mention of him yet?
why does /fa/ like to pretend that he's not a fashion icon?
yeah not all his fits are on point, but a lot of them really are
He a tryhard and wack as fuck
Oh right, he has a song about a girl who is a compulsive fashion buyer where he lists a lot of her favorite designers, (some of them didn't even make wimin clothing btw) taken from some random list at the last minute to sound like he knows shit.
Wonder where the guy in the white gets his inspo
why is straight edge so retarded?
hurr i am willingly depriving myself of amazing experiences which i could not get in any other way because i am a weak loser and know i wouldn't be able to control myself.. n-no actually it is an OPINION..
You have to look at it from a historical perspective. Drug use was rampent in the 70's/early 80's. Sid vicious od'd on smack, and ludes were being taken like candy. Ian mackaye wrote the song "straight edge" in what 1980? He was an 18 year old kid writing a song about his personal philosophy that maybe 10 of his close friends were going to listen to. He wasn't preaching a movement or trying to start something new, it just made sense to the guy when the late 70's were so drug fueled and everyone was irresponsible. Coke was huge as was every drug and he wasn't into it so he wrote a 40 sec song about it. Pretty much the full extent of straight edge. And Rollins is the fucking man...
post-emo, LowFi indie shit
can't believe they haven't been mentioned
>hurr thinking the only way to have fun is with drugs
as someone who is straightedge, idgaf what people do, my friends roll on K all the time who gives a fuck
but if you honestly think the only way to have fun in life is with drugs i got some news for you pal
you're boring and you need help to be fun
how could anyone think anyone of thesefaggots looks good?
the dude on the right might pass as a metallica fan with bad personal hygiene, but everyone else looks like theyre trying really hard to look like shit
Lou Reed is one of the most stylish muscians of all time. Guy's above Dylan for me. Was seriously bummed when he died, the Velvet Underground had a massive influence on modern music....no idea why that's so hard for people like you to get
