If your going to in south cal be careful with the people here. There are lots of good people, but in career paths there exist many people who will step on you to get ahead.

North cal is much more friendly place. If your looking to have a good time and find happiness I would recommended north cal. If your looking to do something ambitious south cal is a safer bet.

However this is not to say you can't find happiness and fulfillment for your ambitions in just one part of California. However it's also worth mentioning you may find nothing here.

Be as friendly as you can and try to maintain as many positive friendships as possible. I'm sure you already know this but connections is what gets you places for the silver screen. That or being a prodigy.

It's a weird major. My actual degree is with computers, and we have to pick a specialty. I chose Telecom. So while I do my main major shit like programming, I also work on my specialty (film shit, basically. I fucking love anything related to the production side. Editing, writing, directing, we even did some studio stuff). I really should have just done film shit but I was like two years into my computer major so there wasn't any turning back at that point.
