i don't want to be a dick about something you obviously find meaningful enough to permanently ink on your body but the text sounds really pretentious to me and maybe as you age it will sound different to you too. i would avoid getting that.
i want this but i don't know where to put it, any ideas
it's from a book called the dead father
this would be pretty cool minus the orchid tapes label
this would be sick also
thats the shit I would go for, minimalistic because it doesn't mean shit so nothing can change with it, it's not super arty so it won't get boring and out of fashion and its different
reminds me of this.
would be interesting, yours is a bit less cluttered I guess though
No lie I'd really get something like this
I think this would look cool as a full back tattoo but I likely wouldn't ever go through with it
Kinda wanted to get this on my pec, full color. good or bad idea? (has lots of meaning to me)
I've been wanting this for two years now, and I've got my finger on the trigger finally.
I want to put it on my back, about where my right shoulder blade is. It will be about 1.5 inches tall.
Anyone have any other good ideas about where to put it?
what do you guys think
fuck I had a great fuckin idea with this design, but now it looks like some kinda nazicore shit
was gonna have the wings stretch around into a band on my upper arm
This probably looks really stupod and shit, but I've been wanting this for a while, maybe on my forearm. I don't want a tattoo on a body part that will catch someone's attention right away.
Was effay ten years ago before every single hipster out there got some. The pleb cunt who works at Politix in my dept. store has three dots. You can't get rid of them, do you really wanna be lumped in with those people literally forever?
Where would the best place to get this be, considering longevity. Probably would be my only tattoo and I'm studying to be a lawyer so I can't have it on my hands or anything. Not too big either. Ironic trampstamp?
I thought about getting a knife, which stings through a hand somewhat like in the pic, in the style of Keith Harings drawings (all with the 'motionlines' and stuff).
Hand would be a solid yellow, knife red and one drop of blood which comes from the knife in green.
What does /fa/ think?
I thought benzene was three lines
Either way, the backstory to that is it's a makeshift band symbol for my little fuck-around rock group. We sort of decided that if we ever published an album, we'd all get it just to commemorate the fact that we actually got that far from a band that was originally just for a joke. That's why I want it to be somewhere hidden; unless we hit it REALLY big, this band has maybe a 5 year max lifespan left.
That actually sounds quite cool. Not sure how yellow ink would look though.
Daily reminder that minimalist motives will be the 2010s tribal tattoos.
I just had this idea for a tattoo. This example is pretty bad but it's just to give you guys the concept
the only tattoo ive ever actually wanted is a "cut here" throat tattoo, but I don't think it's a good idea.
I saw a mugshot of a guy who had one a few years ago, and I guess I liked how in your face socially inacceptable it was. I don't really like this whole movement of tattoos becoming meaningless and inoffensive. You know that if you got a tattoo like that everyone would think youre a serial killer and you wouldnt be able to get a job anywhere. You'd have to be totally disconnected with a normal healthy human mindset to get that tattoo. It's not something I'd actually ever want, but I still think it's very interesting.
>solid yellow coloring for your flesh
Nigger no. Just no. Yellow fades horribly and looks terrible on most skin types when it's not used as a highlight color.
Otherwise, I love the design. Good red and green selections for the color.
sailor tatoos had a totally different background to beginn with. just like tribal it was (at that time) a really fashionable thing to get so its a good comparison
>mfw ur minimalist ass got #rekt
>just like tribal it was (at that time) a really fashionable thing
it was never a fashionable thing. people who were actually into fashion didn't get tribal tattoos. only bros and nu metal fans got them
This is pretty good, remove the words and replace them with just one alien symbol and you are set. Or maybe just the solar system without any words on your forearm would be pretty sweet.
What do you guys think about the lance?
Would parts of this work on their own or would they only work as a group?
I'm looking for something that would represent hedonism, or maybe just pleasure in general. Preferably something minimalistic. Any ideas? Was thinking of something simple, like pic, except simply a black outline triangle.
billy corgan is happy now
I think that's great, but if you want to be really precise, use the Voyager Disk image.
thinking of getting a taoist protective charm on my back, similar to the tai su talisman. may pick another
Im thinking making this inside of my bicep
I just recently got inerested in tattoos this year.
I made my first tattoos.
Im also think many tattoos are ugly and mostly only like black tattoos. I guess thats good so If i make a tattoo I need to look at 1000s of pics for inspiration until I found some thing i like.
Pic related. Its the style Im going for.
I combined these
Thinking the upper hand will be on upper arm right abow the lower armpit and lower and on lower arm
I'm thinking of getting one soon but I just don't know which ones. He has several phases within the books so I'm thinking doing a slightly chronological thing ending either with his horned phase or his usual look
Considering this, although I'm kinda too skinny for tattoos, no big parts of skin canvas
I was thinking of getting this, what do you think effay?
and what place would you recommend?
god that looks awful, muscles do not look like this at all on anatomical models or on people. this tattoo was generally a bad idea, because it relies on the artist knowing shit about anatomy rather than google imaging some arm muscles and inking them out of proportion on someone's body.
posting a few images I like
I have 6 tattoos at the moment, saving money for more
Not into the actual tattoos on that one but the spacing between them is nice
no probably not but what's the point of tattooing muscles on yourself if they're going to look that inaccurate like if you're going to do something, do it right. if you base your tattoos on what the average person knows or cares about you might as well get dumbass tattoed on your leg in kanji with tribal designs surrounding it.
Plus it'd aesthetically look better if it was even slightly accurate because the muscles would need less shading and pop more. Most of those those heavily inked weird little muscles would be covered by the larger ones and it would sit better on his arm. As it is his bicep is way too tiny and his forearm flexors are fucked up.
It's okay to get random tattoos just because they look cool because there is no way to get something like that 'wrong.' But yeah he got the muscles wrong and now his tattoo is stupid.
Been looking into getting this on my forearm, thoughts?
