I own Stan Smiths and owned Sk8 his (sold them recently). I can say I don't really wear my smiths that often because I really don't like the silhouette on my foot. I prefer a slimmer shoe and consequently I usually wear my shittier jack purcells in place of the smiths. I had the same problem w sk8 his where the silhouette was just too fat for me. CDG plays seem like they're the skinniest (since my purcells, also converse silhouette, are my slimmest) so I'd go with those. I'm thinking about copping a pair actually.
