Didn't see one in the catalog, Fuccboi Thread
Start looking at peoples style of dress a little more often. Start getting an idea of what exactly you like and dislike.
Make small purchases for at least a year or two. Don't buy a full wardrobe that you won't like at all in 6 months. Five things tops at a time.
I need a pair of pants in addition to my black jeans and I waa thinking of copping navy or dark grey chinos. Which do you think would work better with black shoes and mono/different shades of blue tops?
Mainly the first one, I want to get into fashion. Truly, I do. But for the time being, I maybe want to focus on the second one a bit more because well..
I'd be embarrassed if you saw my wardrobe. A bunch of thick, baggy geeky T shirts and a couple of super thin hoodies. Jeans and shorts. A pair of boat shoes and a pair of running shoes. Totally ready to start over, and I'd say that autumn is a good time to do it.
Thanks a whole lot for that answer. I had a question but I forgot it. Oops, I'll come back maybe if I remember it.
Like the other anon said, get an idea of what you want your style to be. More dressy, more streetwear, etc. Then build a wardrobe of basics that you like, whether it's plain tees or suits and ties.
I know this probably doesn't help much but it's hard to give advice on what to buy without knowing your general style
I haven't cut my shitty long hair in like five years, but I'm ready to move on. Is there any way I could fuck this up and get a cut that isn't in style or something that naturally just says fuccboi? In other words what should I avoid?
where can i find april 77 jeans in the US?
preferably US online retailers?
Aye! I remembered my question. The chances that you're still here are probably 0.01/100 but I just wanted to ask how much money I should really be looking to spend in those aforementioned "small purchases". Should it just be whatever I'm comfortable with, and those 170 dollar shoes are just something I should strive for? Or will I be frowned upon for starting out purchasing things under fifty bucks and shit?
That was worded terribly but I'm tired as fuck and I'm dying of death so pls jus hlp
Not him, but I would only purchase things that you can afford without having to make sacrifices(so different amount of money for everyone). Also, you should be able to put that piece of clothing together with the rest of your wardrobe easily, don't purchase something because it just looks cool, or is on sale, and end up not being able to make a single decent outfit. Also cheap things are great for when you're learning about what your personal style is, and then once you know what you're comfortable with and what style you personally look good in, then you can start purchasing more expensive things. Hope that insight kind of helped, if it didn't I'm sorry, I just want to help out someone who seems like they actually like clothes. Way too many shitposters on this board and not enough people actually interested in fashion.
How do Doc Martens 1461s size? I'm a 8.5 in Roshes.
Should I buy sized up or down?
>I'm a 8.5 in Roshes.
don't measure your feet with other shoes. measure your feet with a brannock device and then figure out how true-to-size the shoes you want are.
being 8.5 in chucks would actually make you a 9, for example.
Okay recommendations for jeans? Probably not willing to spend more than $100 or so.
Also what type of shorts?
I'm planning on buying a whole bunch of plain t shirts from ascolour
Dont really see myself wearing shirts to often so ill just buy a white one
They're all the rage with high school chicks and guys that wear earrings. So there's that.
Timberland did put some cool shoes out in combination with Woolrich.
I need new shoes for the winter, but I'm not sure what I should get (yes, I read the sticky). I was thinking maybe desert mali's, but I'd rather look at some other options as well, and I'd really rather not get the usual CDBs. I typically wear the basic tan/grey chino with variously colored shirts/sweater, nothing fancy really. I assume dark brown or black shoes would go with the most fits?
how's the sizing on raf velcros?
im p sure you're meant to size 1 down right? but i might have to get my 'normal' size. how bad is the need to size down?
So I've always had clothes given to me, almost all of which were imported from foreign countries. I don't have many long pants, only sweatpants, so what are some good style long pants to buy? Other than jeans/chinos.
Also, what are some good places to shop online?
Im in Canada, willing but not happy to pay for shipping.
Look at hair inspo threads if you really need inspiration for styles, otherwise just make sure you get a good haircut. The skill of the person that cuts your hair is what matters most, next to your ability to style it.
Need pea coat recommendations. Currently looking at Schott 740c.
Winter in Northern New Jersey, in the dead of winter temps can sometimes hit 10-15 degrees but for the most part is hovers around 25. Last year we had record breaking amounts of snow but its usually not too much, maybe 3 true storms a year.
not for a profit
there are currently like 8 pairs of rafs on grailed that have been sitting on there for weeks and weeks and weeks m8
unless youre selling made in italy for 200 dollars in us 10-11, they wont sell quickly. its an incredibly niche shoe
im not entirely sure, but know that there is essentially no difference between the shoes other than place of manufacturing.
pretty sure the only reason italy made rafs are worth more is because they were originally made there, and now are made in portugal instead
ive seen italy made velcro highs sell for 600 and upwards of over 1000, though. i wouldnt pay more than 350-400 for portugals
I'd get an olive parka or a long coat like this if you really want that look
okay guys, i really need some help...
i'm from /vg/ and barely leave my room aside from going to my small office job where there isn't really a dresscode (i wear jeans, t-shirts/sweaters, and vans).
i'm 21 and a fat guy, and need to go pickup three-days worth of "business casual" attire tonight. i'm anxious/nervous as fuck because i don't wanna show up overdressed or underdressed.
please help me and hold my hand through this new endeavor of fashion that I've yet to experience.
ps. the seminar is for sewer related work, so i expect a lot of blue collar workers to be there and office jockies like myself.
so i'm guessing nothing fancy fancy will be needed.
Fuck wear to cop a decent single breast coat like this?
so what's the general etiquette with grailed, like would it be rude to make an offer 10/20% below an item's stated price or do prices tend to be fixed? or does it vary from seller to seller?
sorry for autism but i haven't bought anything through grailed before.
anyone know where I could get something similar to marsell shoes? distressed leather, slim for a bit cheaper? got the money for them it would just be inconvenient
w2c an overcoat that fits like pic related?
I know I probably can't cause I already have small shoulders, but I looked at a few 36 shoulder coats and they were all bulkier in front.
does anyone have any t-shirts made by RHUDE? i found them on some inspo thread the other day and i really want pic related but they have no pictures online of how it fits so idk what size or anything to get
What are good simple black shoes? need some for work. I really like the look of RE postman but not sure if I want to spend that much. Also considering docs but leather looks like it wouldn't age nicely. I don't work in a kitchen so the shoes won't get shit on but I will be on my feet my whole shift
Anyone know the sizing on Cav Empt plague hoodie?
how does a receding hairline go with dreadlocks?
not at all?
undercut or full shave would be ok though, right?
Just got these pants, they're hella baggy, how do they look pinrolled?
Does $21 sound like too much for a haircut?
I'm kinda jewing I think, but I asked my friend where he got his cut and he gave me two names. First one is a grill that charges $17, other one guy is named Eric. Charges $21, but is also the owner of the salon.
Feel more comfortable going to a guy for a change, since I've been going to the same one for a while now and I dunno I just am tired of the inconsistency even though it is cheap.
6'2" 135 lbs. I've been wearing the old levi 510 (the old super skinny) and i went today to get some because i know they fit tight enough. but i just found out that they arent super skinny anymore, they got rid of them. I have no idea where to get pants now that fit very slim.. Help?
I get charged like $18 plus I leave a few dollar tip. So it usually comes out to about $21 for me. Seeing that I usually just get a 1 on the sides and a light trim on top, I guess the price is fine.
No that's about what you'd want to pay, any less and you are getting cut by an ameteur, any higher and the skill level sort of plateaus. I've tried to get my hair cut in a ritzy mall once, and had to do an about-face when they wanted 75$.
Buying a rains anorak, just not sure about their sizing
I wear a Medium for the Norse Projects oddbergur parka, but the sizes in this jacket are S/M or M/L
leaning towards the S/M but just wanted a second opinion before i order
forgot pic of course
I'm looking for a long long-sleeve tee for layering now that it's getting cooler. But I'm a broke ass and can't cop Rick or Julius. I saw the Damir Doma but I don't like the round cut in the front. Any suggestions on w2c?
fear of god?
i know you guys love to hate on FOG bc of the obvious Rick rip off, i get that, but they're actually great quality
and if you notice their prices drop each season because of demand and having profit vs just starting a company
So im starting from square One i have nothing and have about $1,300 to spend on a winter wardrobe. I like monochrome fits and workwear. The only thing that fits are my shoes which are a pair of Thousand Miles and CPs Achilles lows. What would you recommend copping?
I know most graphic tees are awful, but this one from Uniqlo caught my eye.
Worth a cop? I think it is kinda cute.
>Rogue Territory, 3Sixteen, APC, Acne, Momotaro jeans
>tops - grab a fuckload of basics. Experiment around. Get tees, oxfords
>sweaters - norse projects, our legacy good place to start
>Jacket - just lurk parka threads and other jacket threads.
Really that'll take you the farthest and will round off your wardrobe
if it's hot you can't really layer with jackets and flannels and shit. But if it's not hot where you are, do that.
Basic mode, if everything fits well, is better than most people. As long as you pay attention to colors and your shoes and stuff, a tee and jeans can look great.
What kind of top do I wear with these. was told green flannel but dont have any for tomorrow, what else can I wear? also White sk8 hi, or grey janoskis?
I'm about to begin learning and buying higher quality designer wear, can someone please point me to a couple designers that have a similar aesthetic.
My personal style is essentially androgynous with mainly a monochrome aesthetic, but occasionally I'll use a palewave pallet.
pic is a collage of every waywt that I have taken if that helps
oi bbs i need an id on these shoes pls
looked around for 20 minutes with no luck. one of you guys probably owns them
Just how /fit/ is too much to be /fa/? I'm getting /fit/ and I'm growing kinda wide, do you think it's time to stop?
I've been lurking for a long time but I'm really scared to post in WAYWTs. I try to look at other girls' fits to get an idea of what's good and what isn't but they're so few and far between, and I haven't seen some of the other trips I used to look up to for a while. At first I was very lost but I think I like "palewave" and "comfycore". I know that if I start posting my fits will probably be really shitty when I start, and I'll probably get insulted a lot. But what I'm wondering is, would I eventually be able to make nice fits as I take in all the criticism, or will I be tagged as an attention whore who does nothing but shit fits and get to a point where I get very little constructive criticism?
TLDR is it possible to into effay through WAYWTs or do you have to learn a lot about effay and then do WAYWTs?
>will I be tagged as an attention whore who does nothing but shit fits and get to a point where I get very little constructive criticism
I think you are overthinking it. Just post your fit. I often see what I consider great fits get shat on, and viceversa.
/fa/ isn't a person so there's different opinions. Some people will shit on your fit some people will say it's okay some people will love it (hopefully).
I'm really really skinny. (175cm, 57kg)
I've never worn skinny jeans but the other day I decided to try some and they looked hideous.
Am I just not used to wearing skinny jeans or I am too skinny ?
I kinda look like Russell Brand.
if u look like that well i got some bad news for ya, mummy and daddy didnt know about the kike and ur body is RUINED...
Generally I think slim look better, but I can see fits where skinny would look better. I had the same problem when I went to try on jeans a while ago and I think what was wrong is that the fit I was wearing didn't call for skinny jeans at all. Maybe you were just wearing a fit where they looked bad and you should go back with a different fit to see if they work better. That's what I'm going to try.
Can I just say those pants look absolutely shit?
I agree with you.
make a decent fucking pic you tool
Didn't know adyn had simple shit, too.
what's androgynous about this?
if you're asking what to wear with shiny leather/waxed black jeans because you don't know I don't think you should buy them at all.
what the fuck have you not been here longer than 10 mins?
W2C quality underwear (boxers/trunks and socks), that is not 10$ for three H&M pieces, neither 50GBP for a single sunspel piece?
Is Calvin Klein any good? I've always considered it as it is what poor blacks or rich clueless arabs would wear. Maybe tee by Wang, does he produce underwear?
I need something I may buy in store, not online.
Btw, worst underwear I've ever owned was Uniqlo.
Coming from someone from Europe: I've tried Lidl underwear now which I'm very happy with (2 for 5 euros), also I've heard good stuff abut the Beckham line from H&M. It's a more upmarket line of H&M undies.
Hope this helps!
Are patterned sweaters effay or cringeworthy?
What sort of footwear should you wear with parkas?
I don't have any boots or decent high-tops.
(waxed denim guy here) that's what everyone says and I know, that's normally what I do. But in this case I saw them and I loved them and wanted to try them, so I went with it. I've had a lot of clothes go out of stock while I decide to buy them so I just bought them this time. I can always return them if they don't work at all, but I just want to see if I can build around them.
so, waxed denim inspo?
These have been my go-to shoes for a years now but every year the quality gets worse and nowadays I'm going through about 3-4 pairs a year. I'm not going to carry on paying 70€ just so the soles can completely detach themselves from the shoe in a matter of weeks and the inside completely wear out in about a month.
What are some very similar and better lasting alternatives?
I really do like these but I genuinely feel stupid constantly buying the same low quality overpriced product because I know they wont last long.
>tfw used to work in shitty semi-fast fashion store
>just wear tees and jeans all day
>work for a semi luxury brand now
>wearing saville row cut suits
n-not sure if I'm becoming more /fa/, less /fa/, or just growing out of the immaturity and tryhard edgy /fa/ median.
still wear that shit with muh CP's though.
is thom browne tier suits > tryhard edgy ninja?
Those look like shit anyway. If you like all black, get some Stan Smiths. They're leather and will actually last too.
But seriously unless you're super skinny, low top vans look horrible
I am actually super skinny. I don't think they look like shit, they've worked with almost any fit I wear for years now. I don't care if this colour went ultra mainstream in recent years, I still love them, but not their quality.
Just read about some Xtuff editions of these which are like an old school more resistant edition of them, so I might look into those.
do you think porter robinson goes on /fa/? I was just at his live last night and he looks pretty good, he has an undercut-ish haircut and was wearing an oversized drapy tee kind of along the lines of a. wang, and one of his graphics on screen said "FUCCBOI" while an anime girl was punching a guy
lel alright, I suppose a uniqlo bomber with skinny black levis and vans > saville row tailoring.
>not having more than 1 look in your wardrobe
having 100 plain black tees isn't "fa"
whenever I wear pants for a couple of weeks I start to get those weird bulges on the inside of my thighs like pic related.
is there anything I can do about this?
w2c knit sweater with big looms and bit longer than regular sweaters
Would cop pic related but it's mostly acrylic and I'd rather have wool or cotton sweaters
DID YOU SURVIVE THE TIMEJUMP FROM 2013? DO YOU NEED WATER? THE FUTURE IS SCARY, SKINNY BLACK JEANS AND OTHER "MINIMALIST MONOCHROME STREETWEAR" YOU THINK IS SO EXCITING AND FASHIONABLE IS THE REALM OF GAO, PAC SUN, AND TARGET NOW
Not him but holy shit are you a faggot.
>skinny black jeans won't always be common
>not wearing what you want
>not wearing what you like because others are doing it
>listening to some shit head Anom using capital letters on a Kenyan claymation site
>being this mad
Are you interested in palewave too by any chance? "G-guys gothninjas are stupid look at how smart I am!".
Should I wear a black jacket with this crewneck or wear it like this guy does, its in navy not green also.
Now I know this thing is poorly constructed and mall-tier, but do any of you know something that looks similar without being a piece of shit? I really like the way it looks.
How should acne jeans fit? I'm having trouble deciding the length and between the thin and max model of the stay cash. I'm 5'8" with my waist width measuring 12.5" , pretty thin body, legs aren't skeleton bony but they aren't squats n oats huge. I typical buy 30/30 like in the pic for pants that I don't want to cuff. I think I have small bones since my wrists are considered small. I can fit Levis 510 but don't really like it being so tight in the thighs.
How much do belts and shoes have to match? Perfectly, or can they be a few shades off?
Pic related is what I have. Just copped this belt but I think it is too red for the shoes. Otherwise I'll just send it back.
Have big ass hips and legs. I lift weights and run but some of its still fat. I don't mind being unable to fit into rail thin clothes, and it's honestly not that bad compared to some people.
My question is What is the best fit jean (using levis for universal reference) for someone with bigger legs,
514, 513, 508, or 541 (the new athletic fit.).
Slim straits can be a slightly tight but not awful in the seat and thigh
514 strait just feels like a bootcut slim strait
508 look like something a scen kid would wear when I wear them.
I have no clue about the 541
Should I even bother with clothes unless I'm trying to cut weight? I'm by no means obese but I'm not like normal-body-type either.
Their Supima Cottons are slimmer than their premium cottons (personal experience)
I read mixed things on the dry package vs supima. Cop something else from uniqlo, order a dry package tee and just see. If it fits, great. If not, well you are only out 6 bucks so not a big deal.
The skinniest tee I know out of. Also decently long. Perfect for me at one point, but my shoulders got bigger and now they don't fit me anymore.
They aren't very soft though. The only thing AA has going is the cut. If you have absolutely no upper body development, they are great.
Well I have a big ass and thighs, and I wear either 514's or 508's. 514's aren't tapered so you probably shouldn't cuff them, but they make your whole leg look thick. 508's are tapered so cuffing looks nice, but it may make your leg look thinner near the bottom. I think they both work for me though, so just try and see.
will suck dick for olive parka recommendations
holy fucking shit i get these and i fucking hate them
levi's 510's do this to me but i keep buying more because i hate myself
i assume it's because my thighs and ass aren't big enough
i've begun to lift weights to try to fill out my pants
i'll report back in six months and let you know if my pants fit any better
Alright, thanks anon I'll send it back.
Any idea where I might cop something to go with them better? Trying to go slightly on the cheaper side right now, otherwise I'd try finding an AE belt that matched.
sorry man, don't know a lot about belts. I have one that matches those shoes (and a pair of mine) probably perfectly, a Calvin Klein that I got at Lorde & Taylor for like $30 on a huge sale. The buckle fell apart after like six months and I had to replace it but the material itself and color is great.
Sorry that doesn't help at all, it's just what I know
sizing is good, there's a thing on their site to check the size too
stans are supremely better than anything in their price range and in my experience, compete with cps tbh
>clearly a shit drawing of bart simpson
>says anime on it
You dun goof'd
>Black jeans and black shoes
Are you working today?
>FUCK HUGE CLOWN SHOES THAT GET WIDER AT THE TOE
