A lot of us are either in college/uni or HS and summer break ends in a month. Let's get a backpack thread going so we can show up to school looking dop af
It's like a slightly more compact Goruck that still has enough room for a tablet. And unlike Herschels and Fjallravens these bags are durable as hell.
no one here fucks with tech packs?
thinking of getting pic related
Any suggestions for <$150?
Is that the RUSH 24? While I'm primarily using the pack here >>8597546 at the moment, I've used a Multicam RUSH 24 to carry stuff around for the past 3-4 years. It's a nice pack, plenty of room, MOLLE webbing and reinforced at all the crucial stress points.
That being said, the eyelets at the drainage grommets fell out of my pack about a year ago, and the mesh used for the organizer pockets are slightly less robust than what you'd find in the higher end packs. I'd suggest looking at J-TECH, which offers packs at around that price range.
The RUSH 24 is a pretty big pack for that purpose; I can just about fit an 17" laptop in the main compartment. That's one of the reasons why I stopped using it as an EDC pack. It gets too bulky and heavy to carry around all day.
Another option to consider at that price range is Tactical Tailor:
While I have no personal experience with their packs, I've only heard good things about their offerings and customer service.
I would get this Brooks pack if only it weren't so expensive.
Also, check out Pantac:
I've had their large utility pouch for a while and it's pretty well constructed: 1050D Cordura coated with Teflon, braided paracord zipper pulls, heavy-duty mesh and thumb buttons (better than velcro imo).
And SOE gear. They probably won't have the sort of packs you're looking for, but still worth checking out.
Are these too played out now?
If so, any 300~ usd alternatives?
Just copped this for my second year at Uni;
get it if your budget doesn't allow you to go kelty cycle hiker (around 60 to 90 buckaroos, less if on sale). that michael backpack looks good but will probably fall apart around winter
Thoughts on this?
Yah, I was going to pick it up from that same seller. I live in an exceptionally rural area, so I can't gauge how much I'm falling into/out of trends. Good to know I'm still early and not co-opting a style after its time.

I plan on ordering one of those Swiss Engineer Rucksacks. Rubberized, so rain proof. Leather straps and bottom. Out of stock about $20-30. Cheapest in stock was 44. Can be used for pretty much anything, from the street to the woods.
>sorry no pic
I was just about to post that exact image and message
anyway that's my bag, good value
idk man i carry my laptop around in my bag
lol pop quiz is one of the most generic backpack shapes around
idk if any of those have laptop sleeves but u can check urself
or just cop a herschel idk who cares if some dumb nerds think ur look like a dumb nerd
Lasts ages and holds loads
Unless you do some crazy over the top shit like floral pattern or crazy colors, no one is really going to care what backpack you use. When you see a backpack and think "Hey, that looks pretty cool!" then that is the correct backpack to buy.
looking to upgrade from my herschel lil amurica, needs to be around the same size or at least fit my stupid giant laptop. still wanna stay in the vein of 'heritage' backpack but also dont wanna sell my first born to fund it- does such a backpack exist? thoughts on the cotton canvas herschel range?
Thinking about coping this, any opinions?
c-can messenger fags hang out here? i have this in black but i dont use the shoulder strap
I removed the jansport patch, and I think it looks way better.
Got this for free with a sunglasses order. i use it
ive had this bad boy for the past couple of years. it has floral print on the inside which really appeals to me, because not only do i love flowers but i love being a pansy as well
I have it in blue, I get complements on it CONSANTLY. It's probably my second most complemented piece.
I've only ever seen one other person with a grey one at my uni.
I think it's fine.
I've had it for about nine months and it's held up well. I don't know what fa talks about with quality issues.
I wish I got it in all black though, oh well, it was a gift.
I'm thinking of getting a Sully Wong bag for Uni. (pic related) Does anyone has experience with them?
I know effay hates Hershel, but hear me out on this one
And if I were to get a Sully Wong bag, should I get this backpack or the one in the picture I'm replying to?
>bitches don't know about my Ann D
Backpacks look stupid on anyone so it doesnt matter what it looks like. Instant childish look. Seriously have you ever heard " hey man sweet backpack, wow it has three compartments? So jelly"
It's not only that, they are pretty shitty as well construction wise.
I think they look pretty cool, play out to hell, but look good.
Being played out + bad construction when there are just so many better brands out there is why /fa/ does not approve
But it looked big even on you in that picture you posted.
I'm not hating on it, and I know you must of really wanted it if you shelled out $5k for them, but I was merely pointing out it is pretty large.
I see many of them here in Cologne, although mostly grills carry them. They're really small, I think they were actually made for children in the first place. Won't look good if you're not a rather petite girl.
I got this off grailed for $40 and stuck a few vintage pins on it
No, I have one of them, and I'm just a normal student. Just buy them in the darker grey version, then they look just like a techy backpack.
They're pretty expensive, but mine has been holding up for a few years now. Quality!
Oh god no. Here everyone has one.
Couple of years ago only the /fa/ people had these, but now. Now every fucking one has this cancerbag. The guy who wears a tapout t-shirt and the 30yr old single mother who has no sense of fashion.
Great fucking bag, I got the 20 liter one and I love it. Shilling these Gorucks til I die.
Disregard the flag patch, gonna cop one of those black reflective patches from varusteleka.
I'm yet to see one where I live. Most people here that need a bag have either a Jansport or one of those cheap nylon bags with cords as straps. Such is life in central Florida where people care more about Jordans.
Shit was made by an ex-spec op and directed towards anyone from cops to range queens, kind of predictable if you ask me.
I can get behind the idea though though. Local production keeps the shipping low(ish) and the whole lifetime warranty is great.
Are these acceptable if you aren't going for full tacticool techwear?
Really like them and have een thinking of getting the 12 one
Acceptable if you aren't in Nordic countries, where basically fucking everyone from 7 year old school kids to grandmas are rocking one.
Probably popular in some Asian countries as well I'd guess.
I copped blue one first year they got out,
Then this "vintage retro" shit went viral and I started to feel like a faggot candyass for wearing that.
Anyway, It tore apart within a year, quality is awful.
Maybe if you are 18, go for it, you will be cool up until 20
Im 23 now and I just use black northface big shot2, no complains
Cop or not? (in all-black, not light grey)
found this while rummaging through some stuff. thoughts?
I'm poor so I'm about to cop this.
I aspire to one day make enough money to eventually buy Givenchy and Raf backpacks like the richfags.
>tfw got this piece of shit
at least this thread has plenty of inspo, thanks guys
JUST CAME IN
the c&l era 59s look pretty good
It would be a snug fit, but I think it would work.
since grade 4
>tfw mom never got it monogrammed
Just copped this pack, should I remove the leather logo and diamond patches? The brown on grey is really bothering me
Oh we have a tough guy here huh....... *unsheathes my twin katanas* Well, let's see how tough you really are! *jumps into the air* TAAAAKE THIIIIIIIIIIIIS *spins around and slashes your face open* Not so tough now, huh????? *grabs you and throws you up* It's time to finish this little charade *holds my katanas above my head* YOU ARE FINIIIIISHEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!! *jumps upwards so that you get impaled on my swords* Heh.... easy.....
i bought this to replace my plain gray herschel, was it worth it?
shit colourway. I have this one. It's pretty impractical because the zippers suck but it looks great
It's aight except for the pattern at the bottom and it's a pain having to roll up the flap.
I have herschel little america, and this one looks way better than herschel, way mire expensive and tge material doesnt have shiny shitty effect, pls think twice before writing anything that makes no sense
black is timeless, idiot.
“Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy - but mysterious. But above all black says this: "I don’t bother you - don’t bother me".” - Kristi Yamaguchi
the design is v similar to that of the lil am and a pleb that doesnt know about its price tag and materials can easily assume its a knockoff herschel or a derivative
pls think b4 trying to sound smart
