I have a huge collection of invertebrates in my room so there's never not any insects, but I think you mean wild ones, in which case yes, I get a ton of flies but they're quickly eaten by the spiders that live in the corners, and my carnivorous plants.

Epiphytic orchids.

You get mount-tolerant species (that can survive house conditions) bare root them, fix a layer of spaghnum against some cork, or whatever you have laying around and wrap fishing wire around the roots so it's stable, over time they'll grow roots over the cork or whatever you have.

here's one close up, this one holds mainly masdevallia which aren't tolerant of house conditions when it comes to mounting, so I grow them in spaghnum.

The bigger things and the things hanging under it are tillandsias, which are epiphytic bromeliads.
