What do you /fa/gs use for headphones?
I personally use Urbanears Zinkens for daily commuting as I love the minimalist design and I use Audio Technica M50s at home.
Enjoy everyone thinking you're a complete faggot.
Yeah how is it? I've had my eye on the M50x to replace my M50 because I can't stand walking around with the long heavy cable of the M50. Any issues with the M50x that you have noticed?
I just have these right now, but they are /fa/ as fuck. I'll probably cop some AKG headphones soon for home listening.
none at all, they come with 3 cables, a particularly long one, a short one, and a coiled one.
the m50x does come at a pretty steep price but I think the ability to swap out cables in case they break is worth it
I use Sennheiser HD 518 Headphones when I'm at home. Don't usually listen to music when I'm out of the house unless I'm driving my car, in that case I put a cd mix in.
Audio Technica AD700
>Out and about
An older pair of JVC HAEBX5B
What kind of jackass thinks about how a pair of headphones physically looks instead of how they sound? As long as you don't look like you're cosplaying a martian you're probably fine.
Etymotic ER-4P canalphones with the S adapter, mostly. Koss KSC-75s when I need situational awareness.
Driven through a Fiio E17 when convenient and an iPhone when it's not. Vinyl goes through an early Sherwood transistor receiver that's actually quite good.
I've also got a random sampling of old full size headphones, mostly studio monitors, that I've picked up for free or cheap by chance, despite not being a musician or audio engineer.
Looking to get MAD STAX eventually.
>"I really enjoy the timbre and the wetness of the mids on my limited edition pressing of Aja, but where it really fails is on Tubular Bells, where the bass feels a little muffled below 40Hz and there's a discernable veil over the high end, and the mids just don't have the luxurious fullness that they have on my balanced HD800 vintage tube amp rig. But I may keep these for my Jazz records due to the excellent instrument separation and their rhythmicality which really brings it to life for me. I'm going to try upgrading to a $750 cable to see if that opens up the soundstage a little bit and clears up the congestion around 230Hz."
AKG 240 is a good choice.
It's one of the most trusted, classic headphone monitors out there, it's cheaper than almost everything else in this thread and it doesn't look like some futuristic gamer-throne tier shit.
audio-technica ath-m50x limited edition. fuck yes
i like these but i wouldn't wear headphones anyway b/c they ruin my hair
I don't really care about how effay my headphones look. I care about how they sound.
Mine sound amazing - Etymotic ER4-P
pic related, god tier balanced armature gives crystal clear sound. and the mirror finish is /fa/ as fuck
Ety shill pls go and stay go
because sound is an aesthetic experience, as well as the main point of headphones. It's also very much possible to get a pair that both looks and sounds good, and if all else fails, IEMs are plenty lowkey
wearing headphones outside of your (parents') house is autismal.
they don't look good. they aren't an accessory.
listening to music in public is abysmally autismal. you shouldn't do things that actively say: "don't talk to me."
sexy as fuck when I play shit off my pc, my records don't sound half as good since I only have a Pro-ject Debut Carbon at this point, I'm looking into getting an Audio Perspex but I'll probably just spend all my money on cops instad which i'll instantly regret buying
Look great but sound meh. They also hurt like hell.
The epitome of effay.
I go through earphones like once a month because I do shit while wearing them a lot. I think the wiring snaps or something because new earphones stop working every month. I used to think buying more expensive earphones/headphones would solve the problem but nope, so now I just buy something $10-$20 range every month.
at home I use these when I'm out I use the normal iPhone earbuds because I dont like to sweat under over ears
