ITT we post things we want to get but want a third party opinion.
i posted this in the cop or not thread but this one is new and i have a better chance of getting a reply
there's something about it i love but then also something that says that i absolutely should not wear this.
Arousing but not worth 400 dollars.
Really like Cav Empt, would be my first jacket. 150€. Would it look nice with skinny black or darkwashed jeans, white GATs, grey sneakers or black yeezies.
That quote won't make sense to most people and they would think you're a pretentious faggot. The hood looks abominable and if you're only trying to wear it with one outfit, then you need to change how you buy clothes.
that being said, its not a totally bad jacket. It would look nice with techwear/lunacore fit
makes sense to anyone familiar with zizek or lacan. to be fair thats like hardly anybody but if youre on campus walking to english and philosophy classes lots of people will get it
>implying Cav empt put it on the jacket for philosophers
Cav Empt is all about weird silhouttes, crazy prints and nonsense cyberpunk-like style. I would say cop, Cav Empt's quality is nice and it's easy to wear. Also get ready to get many strange looks, but that's the point of it anyway.
i wasn't implying that. it's clearly for anybody. the sentence is absolutely lacan though, if not zizek by proxy. "the Real" (note the capital R) is the most clear sign. it's reduced, but the sentence is also a concise statement of lacanian theory.
unfortunately lacan is heavy on jargon and will be difficult for a layperson to understand. nonetheless, here is a quality secondary source for proof.
>This object, designated in the matheme as "a," is called by Lacan the "object petit a," or else the object cause of desire. Lacan holds that the subject always stabilizes its position with respect to the Real Thing by constructing a fantasy about how the debarred Thing is held in the big Other, manifesting only in a series of metonymic or partial objects (the gaze or voice of his/her love objects, a hair style, or some other "little piece of the Real") that can be enjoyed as compensation for its primordial loss of the maternal Thing.
If you can't explain that quote to someone then don't get it.
>Hey anon, can you explain what your jacket says? I find philosophy sooooo interesting
>It's just fashon lol
>O-oh... well, it was nice talking to you...
If you don't have a reason for wanting it, then don't buy it.
Rationalization is one of those things that you absolutely need to not wind up broke with a bunch of stuff you don't have.
Really like the silhouette of Chelsea boots I have two questions
1. Will they fit in my style of mostly neutral tone coloerd tees black bombers and light wash denim jacket
2. Am a senior (18) currently in my final year of highschool would these boots just seem wired in such an enviorment
What do you guys think of this Hugo Boss jacket?
The silhouette is pretty nice, but suede is haram imo (not that that means much)
they'll probably match well with the tops you described but the pants you wear are in a way more crucial.
also, it depends on where you live. If you went to the high school I attended, people would think its weird but nothing outlandish. If you went to school in rural alabama you'd get harassed, and if you lived in an upscale neighborhood of a major city you'd just blend in.
I live in florida. Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated
Im an emotional wreck. Talk some sense into me before I do something I'll regret.
Is the white too much? Should I just go for a more neutral colour?
I like the shade of pink/red but I'm not sure if the stripes are too obvious. I like the overall texture it makes, but would the stripes be migraine-inducing IRL? I'd like it if you couldn't tell they were stripes unless up close in pic related.
Item: APC - Jeremie t-shirt
i want a super high quality boat shoe that will last forever. are these too old manish? theyre quality, no doubt, but i dont want to look like a grandpa.
Super comfy but are they /fa?
y-3 satcho cape
pros: thin/lightweight but waterproof, good for transitional seasons where it's not really cold but still rainy
cons: probably going to be kind of long, as i'm pretty short. also not good for winter since our winters are pretty cold (though the last couple years have been mild so idk)
