stop thinking the US' absurdly large military budget is normal, it's totally pointless and ultimately only futile and destructive (especially since its used/ managed very badly). Now I think it's a dumb idea to put refugees on military bases, thats just asking for trouble, but taking in people from places of extreme danger is not a bad thing. If you're against refugees altogether you're essentially using 'security' as a way to veil your racism
