Have a job interview on monday for a professional position. HR said to dress business casual. Is this a trap? Why would they tell me that? I'm leaning 99% to showing up in a suit regardless.

A good rule of thumb is to dress one level above what you would normally wear when you're employed. For example, if you're applying to become a mechanic, khakis and a polo would be suitable, but if you're going to be applying for an office job like where a button down and khakis is the norm, I would wear a suit.
