How often do you purchase a new item of clothing, /fa/?
>>
i'm poor as shit so maybe once a month or less
>>
>>10949696
I limit myself to $1000 a month for clothing. So often times I will buy 2 items or save for 2 months to buy 1. It really depends on what I want.

However, if I could go back, I'd never get into fashion. Getting into fashion has ruined my life. I don't feel complete without new items. I spend a 5th of my monthly income on stuff. It's just stuff. Its not an experience, it's not something good for me, it's not even something others can benefit from. Its fucking stuff.

Turnback. Turnback now. If you don't, you may soon be like me.. Wearing full custom Rick Owens pajamas while you cry yourself to sleep. Even the comfiest louie vuitton comforter doesn't comfort me anymore.

I often contemplate suicide but I keep telling myself, "Just one more cop and you'll finally be happy and satsified with your collection".

>fashion was a mistake

for real tho. Sometimes I wonder why I do this shit. I'd still look fairly above average with just jeans and a white t-shirt. God damn internet. That's the problem.
>>
>>10949696
I mostly just buy during sales, so 2-3 times a year.
>>
maybe once every two/three months.
>>
I spend probably about $500 USD a year on clothes including shoes socks underwear jackets and all.
>>
140dollar~ every 3 m
maybe 700 dollar a year
I live in Sweden so its hard to tell
>>
>>10949696

Whenever I see something I like at the right price.
>>

I put together a quality basic wardrobe (basicly a bunch of Uniqlo and A.P.C.), and then I put a grand into my PayPal account. That's the money I started using to buy and sell more complex pieces.

Sometimes that grand wont cut if for certain Grails but I don't think I'll ever put more money on my PP, I enjoy the challenge of hunting cool pieces on a budget.
Sometimes I'll end up with 900$ after selling all my pieces, another time I'll have 1100$. It's good fun desu.

I ordered a Top Gun hat off of Amazon yesterday.

Who needs style or self respect when everyone will know I'm Top Gun?
>>
I don't buy things routinely. Usually I'll just get an urge to buy like $500 worth of clothes every few months, and that satisfies me for a while.
>>
i buy like 1-2 items a month. mostly impulse purchases i regret buying
>>
I just find pictures of what I like and post them here and say I own them. It's a much more affordable hobby this way.

Except for underwear and socks I haven't bought anything for myself in about 8 months. When my mom comes to visit she'll buy me a couple new pairs of pants or something.

varies a lot, depends on how much extra money i have and if any good stuff pops up on grailed or if my little internet goblin finds me cheap things from japan. i'd say it averages about once a month

Congrats, you've discovered first hand what philosophers have been writing about for centuries. Simply owning tons of material luxuries does not automatically translate into a satisfying life.

this, even as poorfag you can have nice cloth when you do this

Every few weeks during sales. Then it depends on the grails I come across, and also on if I managed to get what I wanted during the sales. Most often, I must purchase something every 2 monthes I'd say. Sometimes less, but it really depends on what I find. I have a few plans that can randomly allow me to buy designer stuff at ridiculous prices. When I come across 30€ silent tees, I just cop, I don't think about my budget.

As a student I only work during the summer. I use 1000€ or so to go on vacations (and most often, half of the budget is for purchases). Then I keep between 1000 and 1500€ depending on what I managed to earn, that I will use to spend on clothes until next summer. When I'll eventually work, I guess I'll end up spending maybe 500€ a month on clothes. Maybe more.

But atm, I've never spent more than I own. I'm quite happy with what I buy in the sense that I'm never frustrated by my budget, but I still manage to keep a few hundreds at the end of each year. I also usually spend something like 30% of my annual budget to go out or to buy gifts.

Do I have a problem tho ?
>>
>>10949734
I did it to get away from my insecurities but it just gave me more :/
>>
>>10953708
Did it so people would think I dress well and to get chicks (don't judge me faggots). Now that I begin to have a kinda personal style, people think I look weird. But since now I also see they almost all dress like shit, their opinion doesn't matter the slightest bit to me anymore. Fashion is weird.
>>
Depends on the month. Sometimes I spend like 1,2k and buy an overcoat and sometimes I just buy a new pair of shoes or some sweaters. I shop a lot during sales, but I'd say on average I spend 300-400 euros/month
>>
>>10949696
whenever i find something nice
>>

how2shop Nippon threads pls, I've been meaning to get into their marketplace for the good guds
anyways, I basically buy in massive quantities all at once on sales, but since I started using grailed I shop a bit more often for w/e it is I want, knowing that lowballing is life and that it often works anyways. also if shopping and having clothes doesn't do it for you, you aren't a truly vain person and have no business trying to buy stuff and be fashionable (beyond a reasonable normie-level). Fashion is not only the rich man's game, it's also the self-centered man's game. if you're not the top of your priorities, you're not going to be satisfied buying yourself things. of course, I always want more, but that's because there's lots of cool things out there and it irks me that I can only acquire so much of it.
>>
>>10950274
Grill here and I do this too (although usually more like $250). Anyway, it's a binge.

I only have two rules when buying clothes: 1) Do I want to walk out of the store wearing it, and 2) Would I want to run into an ex while wearing it. If it's yes to both, I never regret the purchase. Works like a charm.
>>
I spent over 450 on Air Jordans yesterday.

I feel comfortable with my purchases because most, if not all, items I buy retain value very well.
>>
>>10952956

>>
When I start working 50 an hour probably 900 a month desu. I only get 20 so I usually get a sneaker and something off grailed every month
