Tryin to work these savage pods, any advice?
for the anon last thread who wanted camo cargos with ramones fit
From the last ROG, still speculating what leather LGE is. I also find it hard to believe that rick would use "genuine leather" for mainline creepers. That would be a colossal decrease in quality which would have gone by unnoticed since at least Moody.
Huh, I'm surprised you don't know about "genuine leather", probably b/c you never see it. It's not a generic term, it's an industry term for literally the worst quality leather. "full grain leather" is the best quality.
Had to size down on the tech runners. does anybody know if the same applies to these runners? pls help senpai
i posted the description last thread
LGE isnt defined in the drive doc in the op, so i googled it and found another product with the same material. The store description said Genuine Leather which definitely fits the LGE printed in his creepers.
I wear a pair of double black Momotaros with my ramones pretty frequently! Just get some that are slim and black. Indigo doesn't go so well with rick styles, but I would do it if I had milk ramones.
saw a fit pic with these before, anybody save it?
hey that's me.
the knit and jacket are actually from zara and gap respectively, believe it or not.
the tee (longsleeve) is just a loose-fitting sheer tee in dust colour from gleam (i think)
so I bought this on sale and when it arrived it fit tightly (not in a bad way) around my waist and wrists
but now, a few days later the stretch is almost completely gone and it just hangs there
is there anything I can do about this or am I just fucked?
I'm gonna stand by what I said and that the "Genuine Leather" that was linked in the other article was referring to something different, and its a coincidence that the LGE code refers to 'Genuine Leather' - though we are all basing this off one shop selling a pair of sandals after all.
I'm still assuming LGE is some form of calf leather.
It says cow leather.
"Genuine leather" can mean lots of things but generally its used to confuse people.
I don't think the store understood the connotation and was just trying to say its real leather.
I wouldn't worry
Silly discount on this, someone buy it.
Wont let me do it because of international purchasing or some BS
Repostin this guys fit from the last thread cause I like how he wears unusual rick
I love this fit but i'm not sure what shoes to wear with the aesthetic. CPs look and feel off. Ramones nah.
I think i'll go get some vans slip ons.
they definitely are but with meme shoes i mean
"you can't wear them forever and you will get eventually bored of them" I'm only buying things i'm going to wear the next 10 years. I like clothes but hate fashion
Erm. Thanks? I guess
Here have something wierd
I don't have to just know that everyone who you're crossing will think you look like a joke
Your fits look so thrown together and you're probably the only one who thinks they look good
Surprisingly little wear desu, these are the Ricks I've had the longest. Only some scruffing and slight heel drag. Leather could use some conditioning as well. Also, recently discovered a tear ;_;
>I'm only buying things I'm going to wear the next 10 year
you must be having a laff if you think a pair of vans is gonna last you a decade. they'll also be a bit harder to pull of when you're 30.
RP14F6880/LGE. have tiny feet, hence ladies' size. got them from Yoox where they were described as "soft leather" which is how they describe everything.
I'm not worried. Just curious what it is because it hasn't been identified yet.
You should probably let a cobbler handle it- they may decide that stitching is the best option, but they might also do something like glue in a patch from the inside that would look more discrete.
Get some CPs and cream sweatshirts and don't wear any Rick with them. Fitting multiple aesthetics into your wardrobe is cool!
I have ~raw denim & minimalism~ days and full Rick days. Keep people guessing.
>taking a test this morning
>wearing techrunners for that comf factor

>heel of the techrunners gets caught on the chair
>tfw eat shit in a huge lecture hall
>tfw everyone witnessed
>tfw I got tricky dickied
>ricks face when he tricked me
the only thing that works really are pants and tanks
Pants at a push (pods and cropped drawstrings)
Everything else is just cut different for women, and you would look super fag wearing a womens jacket as a guy unless it was something shapeless like an exploder
I'm really needing a new jumper/sweater but can't find anything I want.
Ideally this but can't find it anywhere.
I get what you mean, when i wear my cropped trousers i always have to resort to boots since i dont own some black derbys but some black low guidis/marsells/ccps/derby type shoe would look really nice imo
>I have to walk up and down several flights of stairs everyday
Check out this superhuman over here, walking up stairs. What's he gonna do next, open up a child-proof bottle of tylenol? Use a stamp??
Picked up a leather jacket today. Made of lamb leather, cotton and cupro according to the store, or "vintage leather" as described on the tag, the actual label ends in SLN. Anybody know what it stands for?
>tfw when I want to buy this for ultra comfy nights but it's sold out in my size
What about this appeals to you? I don't get it.. I find it really unpleasant to look at, with the dropped crotch and long zippers, I don't think it works well.
I'm not saying you have shit taste, I just want your perspective.
anybody know what material the vegan ramones are made of? pic related
The soles are a combination of rubber and EVA(a type of foam), so it feels like rubber but it's a bit spongy or bouncy. I'm not sure what the best wording is to describe it. They hold up really well even with tons of use though.
Night auditor in a hotel that has a super ultra slow elevator. Half the time if I'm bringing up reciepts in the morning I'll take the stairs down each floor instead of waiting 20 minutes for the elevator to open and close its doors at a snail's pace.
nah, youll regret it, even the best rick reps look and feel nothing like the real thing, i knoe from experience, copped two different versions of the fake, and then decided to save up for the real deal, the difference is huge, cheapes way is to simply get them custom made, i can coppy the pattern and send it to you if you want
Who's seen Deadpool? Was Ryan Reynolds wearing tricky Rick?
I think people get the pencil eraser feel mostly from the older crepe sole/stapled soles (dunks for example). Those are legit like pencil eraser rubber - they wear down far too quickly. Newer ones are much more durable.
Depends on condition, leather, season. Is it the newer Bauhaus with snap cuffs or surgeon cuffs? Is it a combo fabric? Is there the back vent detail?
To the anon that picked up the xs hooded bomber on ebay for sub$400, how's it working out? It's been 90 degrees in LA so I'm glad I went with Ramones instead, but damn that was a good get.
Not all leathers are made in Moldova. I haven't seen a blistered lamb one made in the last 4 years which wasn't Moldova however.
7/10 doesn't seem great, I've gotten Bauhaus is full grain calf and lamb leathers in much better condition in 600-700 range. I would say don't pay any more than 650.
Also here's a tag pic. I'm gonna get him to give me closeups of the zipper aswell to definitely make sure its from the season he was saying
Here we go, looks like the island racc zip (goat zip desu)
Apparently 'like new' condition, still reckon 600-700?
Yeah it looks like the fabled womens biker, kind of what blew him up as a designer.
Nice fit, im guessing you're female (?) but i suggest changing the tee for something that isnt hemmed maybe
I can't say I've ever seen a fake one, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
Fake Raccs are pretty easy to spot as they look like they're made from Tin - they mar and scratch incredibly easy, whereas real ones hold up superb. I've had racc zip stuff for years and they still look like new
A somewhat decent fit with Runners. Rare.
Looking to get my first Rick shoes.
Should I get this colorway or all-black? I can't decide.
most of them are kind of shit but it is what it is
bluh forgot link
That's not entirely true. "Genuine leather" as a term is most often used by lower end companies selling their product to people who have little experience and assume all leather is good - BUT still exists as a term just differentiating between leather and PU and other faux leathers.
For example, you can still find genuine leather labels on brands like Visvim and Viberg.
Anthem is my favorite women's season, with Sphinx close behind. Every silhouette from that season just exuded power
I'm not so sure that's correct either, but it does make sense. Red Wing marks it's leather soles (when they're exposed) with a "genuine leather" stamp. I think in that case it's a way for people buying $200+ shoes for the first time to feel vindicated. As you say- people with little experience.
That said, there are countless definitions for Genuine Leather supplied by reputable leather goods manufacturers that say (for example):
"Genuine leather is the third grade of leather and is produced from the layers of hide that remain after the top is split off for the better grades. The surface is usually refinished (spray painted) to resemble a higher grade. It can be smooth or rough."
This is why it's dangerous to throw the term around. I would strongly question any goods listed as genuine leather rather than full grain. There are some context clues, like price and country of origin. In rick's case, $1500 creepers made in Italy are unlikely to be made from the same grade of leather as $100 shoes made in China.
Moody is the name given to Rick Owens fall winter 2014
all of the seasons have names, for example fw16 is "mastodon"
i would assume that style was introduced during FW14 hence the name "moody tunic"
Fuck off cuck. Why don't you ask politely. I'll give you an example you autist.
Polite: Does any one else know if this is legit or not?
If you come off like an asshole, people aren't likely to respond. Learn how to socialize.
Heads up if you are interested
I will never find a pair for that price in my size
My favorite colorway too
They're actually the ones that I was looking for when I found the all-blacks
Happy with these now though, looking for milk/black "inverted fuccboi" geos next, I think
Thanks for the heads-up though
Get another picture of the tags, closer and all sides, as well as a pic of the front and back of the zipper. That jacket gets faked a lot and I've seen some pretty good ones. If it is fake the seller probably doesn't even know looking at his other items and history.
Also people get sick of legit checks all the time in these threads.
i think my personal favorite was sock Ramones in a 43.5 for $650 from Farfetch. Lucked out.
I've found better deals but that one was unreal considering how hard it is to find a half sizes.
>tfw want to cop but you have serious autism about pic related.
yeah i guess. you can see it clearly here.
I've saved up to 75 percent on a lot of Rick items. The best deal I ever found was pony skin plinth boots 80% off $2820. But my favorite is probably the paneled moto leggings in waxed cotton for $212 new.
sigh, just bought a full grain lamb low collar intarsia off grailed for 630, turns out its made in moldova... Did I surpremely fuck up? Quality of the jacket is super high, just kind of choked the seller deliberately didnt put the MADE IN MOLDVA part of the tag in his photos
Nah, the quality is still super high on the Moldova made stuff. The only part that's done on Moldova is sewing, every other part of the process is done in Italy - so same fabrics, patterns, designs, hardware. Basically "assembled in Moldova."
Pro tip: if it doesn't say "MADE IN ITALY" on the front of the care tags above the sizing, then it's made in Moldova.
This is not the sellers fault.
>Pro tip: if it doesn't say "MADE IN ITALY" on the front of the care tags above the sizing, then it's made in Moldova.
appreciate the love man. The jackets great, just a tad bit bigger than i wanted. I had to make a decision between that one (XL) and a L (a ss2010 but in size L, $100 USD more) a week back. Kinda wished i went with the L now... Might be a while until I see another low collar L intarsia in black
