Are trench coats really that neckbeardy or is it just that neckbards can't wear them properly, hence giving them a bad reputation?

Bit of both really.
Like other things neckbeards tried to adopt, they really belong either in a more professional setting, or on a more professional outfit. Most people that wear them properly (and at all now) wear them over suits to protect the suits from mild inclement weather.
Neckbeards do a lot of mixing and matching, which makes the whole outfit come off as pretentious.
My brother decided to buy this since it was on sale. I like it but I think it looks too overly dressed when worn
Don't mind the boots I took this pic like a month ago
If you're wearing a $5k suit on a regular basis in a typically clammy/wet climate it's all good. Which means only in professional situations. Which means not all the time casually as people have begun to commonly do.

....that could be a women's silhouette.
>>10941345
desu idk lol, hes also really tall and skinny so maybe thats why it fits like that around his waist
>>10941411
I'll be straight with you, (even though your brother may not be) you need to be tall and pretty big or articles of clothing such as this will accentuate feminine thinness. In your brother's case, I'd gain 50 pounds or so and age a few years.
Here's another pic of the tag I zoomed in on
>>10941431
Yeah he's tall 6 3, but really thin like those thinspo threads
>>10941449
Yeah, that's a great /fa/ body, but not for trenches.
>>10940891
Trenches are classics for a reason. The difficulty lies in finding the right model for you, especially Burberry vintage's are too big for todays standards because they are meant to be weared on top of a suit.
Still kicking myself for not buying one from the APC sale.

kek neckbeards wear them with cargo shorts, crocs and a Metallica t-shirt.
Of course it looks like shit.
>>10941330
Tell him he looks like a feminine faggots, because that's what most people wearing trenchcoats look like.
>>10941342
What about $4000 suits? Or $2000 suits?
>>10941439
We get it, you spent your entire first salary on a faggot coat.
Now drop it.
this is /fa/

not to mention that they're usually fat or have bad physiques in general
you can't sport anything well if that's the case
trenches abound in business districts of cities around the world
these people aren't fedoras
just ordinary people wearing raincoats

>>10943478
are you guys seriously not used to men having more accentuated waists and shoulders?
>>10943576
It's the belt around someone so skinny that makes it look so hideous and feminine (in a bad way - on women it looks awesome).
