Comfy /thinspo/ thread!
>MyFitnessPal: "/fa/ friends"

How many pounds/kg/stones/moonrocks have you lost since the new year? / Your stats? / How many do you plan to lose in the next 3 months?
Both male and female thinspo welcome.
It's good she lost the weight but this chick looks extremely annoying. The kind that would go on about the patriarchy and mansplaining
Tee hee check that globe! Fatties are lying scum
Ah, on mobile didn't see that.
Kek she literally has a planet orbiting her
I'm a skinny male with t-rex legs thanks SS. Oh well I think the only option for me is to get fit.
>eat 12g piece of chocolate yesterday
>look up calories
Will this help me stop being skinny fat? I've got sort of undefined pecs and some belly fat but I'm skinny everywhere else. If I stop eating almost everything, will I stop being skinny fat and just be skinny? Or is exercise essential
At least do some bodyweight every other day. Pushups, squats, leg raises. Surely you can do 30-40 minutes of the exercises in the morning.
okay so exercise is definitely recommended; I've got some muscle on my arms that I really don't want to lose haha
that's fair enough, I try not to eat chocolate, i'll cut down on my cheese intake, but I don't really eat that much fat?
20/m 5'9" here
used to be skinny fat @ 125ish, sortof developed anorexia and dropped to 115ish, completely lost belly and thigh fat
i've eaten about half a salad in the last 3days, 200cal max i'd say
i knock out 40-60 pushups, 40 squats, and 40-60 situps every other day
dont listen to this faget
its calories in vs calories out
long distance running at moderate pace and swimming is more efficient at burning calories
hiit, lifting or bodyweight is not as effective because you are dyel with no muscle
>don't really eat that much fat
omg thats worse than i thought
eating fat doesnt make you fat
go to /fit/ and read the sticky, skip the SS and exercise part if you want, but read the rest
what he was saying is that gaining weight has nothing to do with what kind of calories you are eating. this is mostly correct, as it is eating a calorie surplus that causes weight gain, doesn't matter if the surplus calories are from fat, carbs, or protein.
calories in, calories out. pretty simple and true at a thermodynamic level. there are some physiological factors to consider, for example eating a ketogenic diet, or the amount of fiber in your carbs.
Benefits of a high-fiber diet
A high-fiber diet has many benefits, which include:
Normalizes bowel movements.
Helps maintain bowel health.
Lowers cholesterol levels.
Helps control blood sugar levels.
Aids in achieving healthy weight. High-fiber foods tend to be more filling than low-fiber foods, so you're likely to eat less and stay satisfied longer. And high-fiber foods tend to take longer to eat and to be less "energy dense," which means they have fewer calories for the same volume of food.
Whenever I need to shit I have some high fiber bran cereal
Try this. Half a cup is an insta-shit for me. Or at least within an hour
(Hopefully right side up I always fuck up the rotation)
You could try to drop down a bit more and see if it helps, but, I'd agree there is a bottom for everyone where it stops helping and just starts looking too skelly. Of course that is all preference.
I wish he was mine.
thanks! maybe i should try
the fifteen pounds made such a difference and my thighs look much better now
i've just been doing a 500 deficit because i don't want to actually be anorexic, just thinner (1200/day) so i'll maintain it and see how things go
yeah i just feel like my bone structure is kinda wide so i'm not going to be smaller than a us 4 for clothes, even if i lose more weight. maybe my calves will be more aesthetic though
how do i slim down muscular thighs? i don't do any body weight cardio or thigh work outs or anything, they're just muscular and larger than the rest of my legs unproportionaly. i basically have underdeveloped tyrannosaurus legs. help me.
>slow and steady is always the right way to do it
let's-get-physical anon here <3
things are going well
i'm not weighing myself until i have an empty stomach but i feel like i've lost!
and my health is good. what do you guys think of alternating 500 calorie and 1000 calorie days for me so my thyroid doesn't totally quit on me?
also, someone at my college expressed concern indirectly for me via yikyak
now i feel paranoid about eating in public
I am participating in a date auction in about twenty (20) hours, in which I plan on taking my shirt off as as I have mastered the twink/ottermode physique. What should my diet and coffee/water schedule be like from tomorrow morning up until the show? As in, should I eat heavy at breakfast and eat little to nothing thereafter; should I eat very small and light food items at set increments throughout the day, or what? Thanks
Be careful with that. One of my law school classmates did that at a general graduate date auction and got all of us fucking banned from it for a year or two because some easily offended girl (probably liberal arts Ph.D lol) ended up causing a stink.
I got blocked from vet school pussy because of that dick, still salty about it.
Same guy here, and the opposite occurred to me; I participated in one two years ago at a women's-only small liberal arts school: I treated the girl so terribly that I should have been morally/ethically reprimanded, but nothing came of it fortunately (for me).
>haha dude liberals am i right what a bunch of fags
great posts, please keep it up!!!!!!!!!!
Not really, it is probably the worst thing I have ever done in terms of guilt. The girl spent $65 on the pretense of me being a charming and charismatic person, both criteria I'm actually the antithesis of, only that I put on a misleading-enough show I suppose.
Feeling good today.
How are you guys doing. Meeting all your goals?
Question for all medical people and girls. So I started dieting a week after my period. My last cycle was due 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't happened (not pregnant lol) am I lacking certain vitamins. If so what should I do to get it back to normal
That's why I'm losing weight
That's what i thought
Shut the fuck up, just let the attention whore self destruct.
Low calorie consumption causes amenorrhea. It's the biggest factor in the "Female Athlete Triad" and generally just a bad thing.
That's what I thought. Thanks
There ya go.
Hi again anon. Today was a good day for me. 1100 kcal, 100g protein. Gonna stick to this diet for the next two weeks and see how it affects weight loss/body comp. Might keep it up for the rest of February.
The reason people suggest HIIT and lifting is not so much because the activities burn loads of calories but because the repair does and for time vs calories out they are (usually) better
Help me /thinspo/!
I eat fairly well, around 1200 Kcal a day; I'm 5'11" and currently 160 lbs and dropping;
but I can't stop drinking beer. It is the only thing standing between me and 145 lbs at this point.
develop some fucking self control and quit drinking
switch to a drug with fewer calories than alcohol
eat less to accommodate your filthy beer habit
do vodka shots instead
there are many options but I'm afraid all of them involve not being a little bitch
left is at 120lbs. Instead of cutting further i had the discipline to go the opposite way to lift and lean bulk to 132lbs. Thats 5lbs muscle i put on, after another 3 month lean bulk phase (another 5lbs muscle) i will consider a hard cut to show definition, am i making a mistake?
your hairline is terrible man you look like a soviet union slav! stop what you are doing and get on finasteride. you have other more important things to worry about.
cut out drinking unless at social situations and then replace it with speed
>similar effects in terms of lowers inhibitions, makes you more talkative
>not only does it have no calories it suppresses appetite
Won't get addicted if you aren't doing it more than once a week
anybody else notice a specific area they tend to lose mass from first? I used to wear this ring on my ring finger but had to move it to my middle figer after I lost a little weight. later I had it resized to a 5.5, but now even that's too big and I had to move it to my index finger yesterday so it wouldn't slip off
feels good except I look like a fuckin knob wearing a ring on my index finger
You shouldn't go for really low body fat unless you have a decent amount of muscle mass desu
i know i know. how do i fix this without drugs? they don't work well from what i hear and i'd rather not spend any of my income for these drugs. is there a hairstyle that i could try? maybe i should do it shorter and try to own it?
BUT THIS ISN"T EVEN MY FINAL FORM!!
Maybe someone will find this little book interesting. Let's call it a primer on fasting. A lot has been written about intermittent fasting and most of that in regards with athletes and physically active population. This is for the rest of the population.
Seeing as how many people here treat loosing weight as a milder form of cutting, this might resonate with them as the premise of the fast is to abstain from food. This little book just let's you do it in a controlled manner.
my stomach has hurt a lot today but i feel like i ate a good amount of food?
>8oz black coffee
>piece of salmon
>handful of tortilla chips with hummus
>2 carrots with ranch (i know)
is that not enough? 5'11" 150lbs, light morning bodyweight exercise for ref
Long, steady state cardio. Can be walking for example. Low-medium intensity for 1+ hours a day. Not the best for losing fat, but puts you in a catabolic state (eats your muscles) if you're in a calorie deficit.
Personally I don't recommend this because having muscle is better than having fat, and muscle mass helps keep metabolic rate high so makes it harder to gain fat and easier to lose it. End of the day each to their own, but if you lose a shitload of fat and get down to >10%, but have muscle (grill or not) you will have shape and look (and be) a little healthier. But it's your body.
Hope this helps
You should be taking supplements if you're trying to diet right down. Calcium is very important as well as multi's and iron (especially for women). Get your doctor to run blood tests for any vitamin deficiencies and supplement accordingly (keep in mind you can just say you're interested, don't have to tell them you're losing weight).
If your cycle has stopped, however, and you want to have kids later on, stop losing weight. Your cycle will stop once you get below a certain bodyfat (women hold more fat than men). This is because your body is too skinny to be suited to childbearing. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but this generally means you have dropped below the healthy line. If you're not fussed on health, you can go lower, but if you care for your health and plan on getting pregnant one day, I'd put a little bit of weight (probably only 1-2 pounds) back on and keep it there.
128 lb, 5'11 male. All the gfs I've had in the past were about my weight or a bit less than me. Their thighs were thicker than mine. I didn't care too much; I still loved them. But it would be nice to have a girl who's smaller than me for once.
W2cop skinny GF or fuck friend?
I lost contact with all my friends years ago, so I don't drink much anymore.
When I do drink, it's straight vodka, and occasionally wine. Usually I drink the whole bottle, and don't feel like consuming anything but water for a good 12+ hours.
Stay the fuck away from beer unless you're at a family barbecue or something.
>vodka tastes horrible doe
Then stop drinking.
What does being skinny have to do with friends?
The only reason you do anything for your appearance is to impress your little buddies?
>Do you leave the house
Yes. Some people have jobs and university to go to.
/fa/mily, I'm scared. I put on a bunch of weight when I got with my gf, stopped caring etc etc.
I've been losing it (lost 40lbs so far) but probably have around another 40-50lbs to go. Work my ass off and diet. But I'm scared because I have stretch marks. Now even though they're not appealing, it's not them that bother me. It's loose skin, which is fucked up.
Is there anything I can do to get rid of it when I lose the weight? Will I ever have a decent body? I know surgery is an option when I get there, but can they do a good job?
Genuinely freaking out over this, never thought about it before
From what I read (and I am by no means an expert) loose skin is the product of dropping weight too rapidly for the skin to catch up (pic related, some poor schmuck who lost around 100 freedom units in 3 months or so). So you could try to dial down the weight loss and see if your skin contracts.
The next option are various skin tightening creams, topical or herbal or whatever. The selection is vast so you should do some research to find what might help you. The last option is complete broscience but it needs to be mention for the sake of completeness - wearing compression clothing, let's say shirts and shorts. The bro reasoning is that it will speed up the skin contraction or something along those lines.
If all else fails there's always surgery which carries a risk of noticeable scars with it.
you fags are retarded. its one of those age-old sjw pics that some asshole has obviously shooped. this 'girl' isnt pretending to have lost any amount of weight.
Yeah dieting can do strange things.
Thanks so much anon I will slow things down and look into the other things you've said, you're a great person.
I'm not overly concerned with scars and stretch marks (plus they can be tattooed over by a good tattooist), or getting thin quick, just want to not look like shit when I achieve my goals is what worries me
whew ok turns out i just had a stomach virus/flu. i cant hold anything down though and im worried that this experience will make me afraid to eat anything in the future... anyone have similar experience?
I really don't think so. As long it's not some flash and crash diet you'll be just fine. Hydrate, take care of your skin, keep the weight loss steady and you're golden.
It's the least I can do. You can google around or ask on /fit for specific recommendations regarding creams and so on. For stretch marks I would recommend tanning (wether natural or in one of those salons) and some cocoa butter or similar creme.
wow nice work losing 10 lbs that's amazing you should really feel proud wow nice glad you shared that with us 10 lbs wew quite an accomplishment how do you do it what's your secret wow wow wow
My friend married a landwhale and likes mostly fat bitches and he is thin and toned. The other one is married to an average girl because she is easy to live with. What frightens me is I get a lot of compliments from milfs.
>mfw ate so much at a Jason's Deli salad bar that it hurts to stand and walk
>mfw after six weeks of a net 1260 calorie-per-day diet I am finally at a point of being content with my body and appearance
If I restricted below 800kcal like some here do, I would, but otherwise I would just depend on a well balanced diet.
I sometimes question the uptake of vitamins too. I'm sure there are varying qualities, but that whole industry strikes me as snake oil.
>tfw binged on cookies, cake, and other shit for two days, prob 2000+ cals per day
>had to run 18 miles to not gain a shit ton of weight
>still made it to 115 lbs
fuck mates this is hard as shit, time to not eat anything all weekend
When you're in a calorie deficit, and restricting also the variety of foods that you eat, you should supplement.
For example, if you were 160lbs trying to get down to 120lbs, you might start to cut out dairy, fruits, fibrous grains and cereals, nuts etc. so what you are left with is meat, and if you cut out meat you are left with not much at all. So you aren't getting nearly enough vitamins and minerals to sustain healthy bodily function (note that bodily function includes brain, hormone, digestive, and repairative functions, literally everything is controlled by what we put in out bodies.)
You should be supplementing. Multivitamins, omega 3 oils, calcium, iron (especially if female) are pretty basic stuff, but it's not hard to go to the doctor and see where you're deficient (keep in mind that GPs aren't dieticians/nutritionists, but they can do the blood work and let you know what you need to fix before you get ill.)
If you were dieting down something that I see overlooked a lot is protein intake. A lot of people decide to eat a carbs only diet (bread and fruit are big ones) and think that it is better for weight loss than eating calorie dense, protein rich foods. These people are wrong.
You need protein guys and girls (~1g/lb body weight/day). Fats also (very roughly ~50g/day for bodily function). Doesn't necessarily *need* to be from meat and fish and eggs (although this is best), but you need that protein and fat for multiple reasons. Some basic uses your body has for fat is hormone function and regulation, as well as protein synthesis and nutrient absorbtion/transportation. Protein is required for maintaining muscle mass, for regenerative and immune function, regulation of metabolic rate, and the list goes on and on. It's also important (specifically gelatin and collagen proteins, found in animal products but easier to supplement) to stop your hair and skin from looking like droopy corpsey shit from being at a low body fat.
You can keep your calorie intake quite low by eating animal products (e.g dairy, meat, eggs) and this will keep you fuller and healthier, as well as getting some fats in. From there you can go nuts on green vegetables because they're very low calorie, yet nutrient dense. Carrots are also great (again low cal/high nutrient).
So there's a very (very very) basic guide. The sticky on /fit/ is very easy reading yet is much more informative and extensive, and I would recommend reading it.
Sorry for the long post but it's worth learning a bit about what you are doing and what your body needs so you can at least diet (and ffs exercise) down healthily.
Remember that the supplement and fitness industries (wherever they are commercialised) need to be taken with a grain of salt, and I always recommend doing a bit of research on what you're getting in to so that you can do it safely and with minimal side effects so that you don't end up skinny but feeling like shit and being brittle and lethargic and always sick.
Final point (thanks if you've read this far, I know I've carried on a bit): fad diets are for shit. I'm not going to say what you can and can't do, but stick with tried and tested methods and modify them if you need to to suit your needs/goals. This includes going vegan for the sake of losing weight. If you're vegan for moral reasons that's great, go you. But it's not ideal for everyone, and you don't need to cut out animal products to be skinny.
Also remember this:
If bodybuilders/fitness models can get down to single digit bodyfat and stay reasonably healthy you can too.
I only ate 300 calories today and feel fine!! This is really great for me bc I've been slipping the past couple of weeks but I think I'm ready to get back on track!!
18m starting weight 185 down to 150 by restricting and sporadic cardio, goal weight 130
im definitely thinner but I don't want to look sickly or completely emaciated as I continue to lose weight so I was wondering /fa/s opinion on starting weight training while continuing to lose weight. Obviously I can't gain any mass but could it help with retaining the muscle that already have? Should I just commit to a greater consistency with the cardio? I know stronglifts 5x5 supposedly works well for beginners so maybe I'll try that. Also, if I'm trying to reduce muscle mass in my legs should I completely avoid running?(maybe it's not muscle mass and actually just fat idk)
I should probably at least be doing some body weight exercises/yoga. Thanks
I gazed into the void
and the void gazed back.
marry me desu
If you're distance running, and not doing sprints you won't gain any muscle.Weight training is helpful depending on the body type you're going for. We look pretty similar/have similar goals desu.
I've downloaded it now and I'm going to test it this week. It looks so nice and it has more details listed on the front page. I'll tell you more about it once I've actually tracked with it.
Were you starving yourself before that? Don't do that, just eat at a reasonable deficit (not less than 1200 kcal) and exercise.
I thought I miss-clicked and went on /lgbt.
Why is a grown wearing those hideous thigh-highs? Why is he so flabby? And why is he so faggy?
Let's break this down.
Not with those hideous thigh-highs. Who wears that crap except trannies? He probably has a choker too in that pic.
The flab really ruins it. There is absolutely no definition to him.
Yeah no. Well maybe to someone who fetishizes him.
You are flabby. Are you taking estrogen or something?
Alright so you call this other dude a fag yet think you are ultimate thinspo. You are clearly a closet poof and there is nothing alpha about being a skinny little bitchboy, so don't act like you've got something worth having you.
First off I am not some sort of "alpha" "ultimate thinspo" "skinny little bitchboy" (whatever that is). I am just trying to loose weight.
As for me stating that he looks faggy - he simply does. Or do you think there's some other explanation for what the person in that photo wears, how he looks and the pose he took? Or have you missed those hideous thigh-highs and briefs? All he needs now is a collar and some cat ears to complete the fit.
That photo belongs on grindr or something not here.
Let's hope the transition treats him well. The world needs less hons.
You need to strengthen that shit nigga.
>work a convention this week
>eat shit food, even though trying not to eat much
>weigh in today 1.5-lbs heavier.
if anyone claims it's hard to eat <500 calories a day, this is what i've eaten so far, with 250 to spare:
1 Coffee (7oz) with half + half: 19
15 small/med strawberries: 58
1 pkg Shirataki Noodles: 20
1/3 cup mustard greens: 7
1/4 cup raw cauliflower: 6
Various chocolates (all brand-name, don't want to list individuals but i did calculate individually): 111
Sugar-free Jello: 10
Actually upset bc i do want to get to 500 today but i'm having trouble. Will probably have a 130 calorie polenta meal to get there.
Alright. I am going to check off the days as they pass, so I have a sense of progression. I haven't had anything to eat since dinner today, but my fast 'officially' starts at midnight. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; subsequent weigh-in Thursday morning. I recommend you weigh yourself right now and refrain from doing so until the scheduled Thursday. Let's do it, friends!
Her upper body is light compared to her legs (which look long and have a bit of muscle) so she needs to pull her upper bodies center of gravity forward to balance that apparently
You can connect it to other apps that track your steps or just your iPhone (because it does that by itself). You can also track exercise, just like with MyFitnessPal.
Nutritional value, I guess. You have to get a premium account to get detailed reasoning for your grade. Idk though, espresso got an A, bread got a D, doesn't really make sense to me because I thought coffee was unhealthy.
