Arcade Punk or PixelPunk aesthetic? Anyone got more like this?

If you aren't an unnoticeable nerd in NYC that's just sad
puke
what a ridiculous 'trend'
videogames are like the antithesis of punk
come up with a 'punk' variation based on daytime television references while you're at it

What the fuck?mindless fun is punk af. And vidya nowadays that's is easy and cheap to make your own is def more punk than corporate TV shows

Pachinko-showcase showdown core goth punk

bread & circus mindless distraction tripe like videogames is not punk at all. The very concept is like something ripped straight from brave new world
>>10935424
what kind of entertainment ISN'T 'bread & circus'?
>>10935424
I kinda agree, punk is a broad term now though (or even then you've got the clash and Ramones considered punk), but there are punks who are trying to get people more aware or focus on some issues, but there are also these beer drinking bropunks who just "are in it for the breaks"
>The very concept is like something ripped straight from brave new world
You can say that about most kinds of individual entertainment
>>10935466
most literature, independent music, independent theater, independent film, etc
although the idea is not to consider it entertainment but rather intellectual stimulation.

>You can say that about most kinds of individual entertainment
Videogames especially though because of the whole complex apparatus thing.
Yeah my definition of punk is somewhat orthodox but i think post people would agree it describes a philosophy or lifestyle largely incompatible with any significant amount of videogame consumption

>intellectual stimulation
Yes, though I think everyone need some kind of mindless outlet to get ones mind off things, either doing some sports, going /out/doors or playing vidya
>complex apparatus thing.
Yes. However that's why I specified that nowadays, because currently most people have some kind of a computer (even a handheld one is strong enough to emulate old consoles which allows for hundreds of games) , of course buying an expensive gaming PC and playing all these new mainstream releases which are 100$ each is the least punk shit. But the aesthetics op mentioned specifically relate to old school/arcade games or low cost indie stuff
