actually it's possible, I mean people take inspiration from everywhere, the only issue I see with it is the product needs to be displayed in reality, otherwise it could create a "false advertisement" kind of vibe.

I think the argument for or against using characters as models is similar to that of using virtual idols (Miku for example). Celebrities and models have always represented an unrealistic ideal, so if they're not even real people does it even make a difference?
You do realize that many houses already use CG in their ads right? Like H&M using CG bodies and just adding heads on them (which are so photoshopped that it's hard to say if they are photos or computer graphics).
