Recommend /fa watches
I've been wearing this lately, ILU makes surprisingly nice products for the price
eh, I like it (it's shaped more for a woman's wrist so it fits me, and the face is more delicate than the average casio). People have been wearing them for decades, even before American Apparel etc. Looks good with black merino wool.
I found this watch online and thought it was pretty /fa/ friends

Watches are one of the few accessories that men can wear without compromising their masculinity. A watch is also great to have if you have a rather conservative job, as peeking at your phone that you have to struggle to get out of your pants doesn't look too smart in a professional environment.
That said, I do agree that jewelry is for girls. A woman wearing a Reverso? Hnnghh.
I'd fuck with it. I especially like how they used and improved the already superior movement option (time-keeping wise, that is) instead of trying to make an automatic just because of muh heritage. I mean I like automatics just as much as the next guy but if I'm going to get a watch, a gadget that's specifically designed to tell time, it might as well be good at that.
>Spending anything more than 96 Yen on a watch
Most effay watch i can think of right now
this is now a cringe thread
Well I first had a lok at the Obris Morgan Explorer II, and then the Perpetual G-02 GMT.
I changed my mind now about what watched I'll look for, so I checked the Orient Bambino, but it's gone up to $260.
Are there any other watches styled like the Bambino that are around the original price in the pic?
Wait, you mean it wasn't since they first post?!
The obris is too big imo, it looks dumb.
The orient is still about 150$-ish dollars, at least on ebay. There is a newer model out that looks better imo. I'd probably get a vintage omega seamaster or something since i think the 42mm case is kind of dumb for a watch that's trying to be vintage but if you have 7+ inch wrists it's fine.
My wife likes to borrow my evening VVS daytona when she goes out with her girlfriends
tfw only 6.5" wrists
What do you reckon between http://orientwatchusa.com/collections/mens-watches/classic/er2400bw and http://orientwatchusa.com/collections/mens-watches/classic/ug1r003w
I quite like the Bambino 2, but I've never owned a watch that needs to be wound, only quartz watches, and I don't know how accurate either of them are.
Charvet end on end shirt in blue, wrinkled mess, what looks to be some of the sauce from the in n out animal style fries on the cuff, and some unwashed uniqlo jeans
Sitting slouched in an office chair writing this on my phone while everyone else is working. Thinking about going to the bathroom and playing clash of clans on the toilet for an hour or 2
don't bother with the orient watches anymore
they were a good value at $70-99 a watch
but now they started coming out with iffy look quartz watches, and their build quality has become more and more dodgy
is enough of a reason to stop buying
not even going to mention the 3X rise in cost
a bambino isn't a $260-350 watch
no idea why they think they're justified in selling rebranded seiko 5's at that rate
need a cheap simple beater for when I don't want to scuff my nice watch, thoughts on this?
Usually browse to see what crap is on there but for the price I reckon I can take a risk?
it just looks like the same rehased "minmalist" on a cheap nylon strap idea was the daniel wellington garbage
>generically designed watch that no one will know is a rolex but you
>acting superior about it
The 1963 actually has a Chinese Version of a Venus hab dwindling movement they call ST-19, and not the automatic ST-17 as in the overview
> great resale value
this is a meme, there are some desirable models that have gained noteriety
but it's more like oh hey there are a few rolex worth money so most of middle america thinks "all rolexs gain value"
they tend to depreciate very rapidly now that rolex introduces new variants, and/or features
luxury products aren't so luxurious when you're rocking the 7 year old GMT with half the features and less-pretty ceremic special edition engraved shit out this year
is the moto 360 /fa/?
I have no use for wrist watches, so I never shilled out $100 for them. But this watch is actually has more uses than just telling time
thoughts on an omega sea master professional?
Most girls don't give a shit. Compliments I got on an expensive watch were from russian and American clients (male). Whereas girl at work fell in love with a cheap fashion watch I wear for variety. Only benefit you get with expensive wrist jewellery is that people in the upper luxury stores take you serious, as you give a hint that yoy might not just waste their time.
I wish this watch existed. Concept watch with e-ink display.
>So many shit together
Thats fair enough, personally I find digital watches easier to read so the practicality is the most attractive thing for me.
How about an analogue watch that reads like a digital?
G-Shock DW-5600BB (basic black)
What's your opinion on the Seiko 7n4s 8070 SQ50?
It's the only watch I've ever owned, but I lost it recently, and it was very accurate. I would set it to the atomic clock, and it would still be ticking in tandem, days later, and be no more than a second out weeks later. Are there any other inexpensive, but very accurate watches out there?
>junghans max bill
I've handled one of these before. They're really cheaply-made and very light, the materials, fit, feel just screams cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if the quartz ones cost $15 from a Chinese factory
Is this a solid buy? Where can I learn more about used watches, I really don't want to overpay and I'm trying to decide between a used seamaster or a used submariner. I'm not rich, but I do work in real estate so I want to look professional, but not incredibly flashy like I'm making so much money off commission, customers don't really like that.
I hate /fa/'s taste in watches, everyone goes for the shitty kickstarter minimalist watches. I guess I'm not much better for falling for the slav watch meme, at least mine won't go out of style by next year.
I don't like slav watches either or chinese ones.
that ethnic watch meme is weird if you're not chinese or russian yourself, even though you're all free to wear what you like, even if you're gonna be MVMT or Komono plebeian.
The ones that scream russian communist with the red stars and shit are a little too much. I don't think anyone would know that a amphibia is russian without looking at it closely.
>let your wife used your expensive jewlery
>to wear with her friends
>at the club
That watch has other man spooge on it fool, you are getting cucked big time and its tour own watches fault
Sorry, but how is a midsize, quartz SMP comparable to a submariner? I literally own that SMP, and cost me £600. You can't get a sub for anywhere near that.
lol i am a slav and i can definitely tell you, that my soviet made raketa watch doesnt give me the same emotion as it would give to one of you guys
i am much more exposed to the slav symbolic and style and cyrillic is natural, so it doesnt feel as "exotic" (not quite the right word to describe the feeling, but its the closest)
thats why i am actually looking for a communist chinese watch, dont care about red stars or mao on the dial, but want to see hieroglyphs; can anyone recommend something? ebay has only shit with dragons on the dial etc
Are there any non-shit digital watches around?
I mean fuck, I'm not asking much, just to tell the time, the date, have a light, keep time well, and not look like a tire took a shit on my wrist!
Seagull Wuyi, Seagull military field watch, Seagull 1963, or some Chinese vintage.
Looking to get my gf a watch for valentines. Been looking at some Carrie Taylors, anyone know if theyre shit or alright? Alternatively something else, like a ladies dress watch. Preferably small
Dislike plastic small dia. Field watches its like saying I'm trying to be something I'm not
A Seiko 5 field watch tries to be a poor man's Hamilton
Like a Timex Waterbury tries to be a poor man's Bell&Ross/ panerai
just got picrelated half an hour ago
yours says "made in russia", meaning that the soviet symbolic is a kitsch
i dont know about modern russian watches, but a soviet watch should have "made in ussr" on it
Thoughts on the Invicta Pro Diver? Do divers look silly on skinny people?
я дyмaл ты тoт, ктo фopcит в чacoтpeдe пpo poлeкc дaйтoнy)
can you change the dial on this one? should be easy with the software
it would be nice to have dials from different watches to use as a desktop of sorts)
>can you change the dial on this one?
sure! it's androidwear.
you can even make your own if you don't find one you like. but there are a lot, even some made by designers.
hell there are even ones by Y3 for the fuccbois.
Just bought this one today, pretty satisfied with it
Just bought a cheapo version of this (except silver dial) for my gf. So if you're a girl go ahead.
Also make sure you buy it from ali, it's 10$ and probably made in the same factory .
Hey I got the same watch, mine is the export version though, written in Latin letters "made in USSR"
Is it even possible to get a 100 dollar tops poorfag watch that isn't total shit?
Only thing I can find are obviously fake shit (Daniel Klein, top lel) or Casio/Timex advertising your poverty with a giant font
Even considered a golden casio, I might look like a hipster twat, but at least an "in" one
What kind of 24 hour analog watch should I get?
not perfection but it is the perfect cheap daily driver that wont fail you.
and it will last forever and looks decent on a nato strap
they are both basically the same functionality, one is just a rolex.
if someone says "hey why do u have a submariner instead of a seamaster" what could you come back with aside from "it costs a lot more duh" ??
Just ordered this illuminator. Pretty happy about it.
I very much hope you're trolling. Breitling is the fucking worst.
Not much of a watch person. It keeps time and doesn't look too offensive.
I am considering getting one of these. What do you guys think?
Dull, boring watches that all look exactly the same and are made as dirt simple as possible which you would think would make them cheaper to manufacture, and yet they're outrageously expensive. And before say it's because muh in-house movements, there is absolutely nothing that that movement accomplishes over what Nomos used to make with Peseux 7001 movements for a fraction of what they charge now.
They're massively hyped up by WUS and a bunch of watch blogs and reddit. That's really all there is to the brand and the watches, a bunch of hype.
Tbh I really like the simple aesthetic of the Timex Easy Reader, thinking about just having it me my go-to watch for everything, just switching out the band as needed. Cheap, accurate, good aesthetic that avoids gimmicks.
I don't even give a shit about the ticking because I never hear it unless the room is silent and I'm specifically listening for it, just put it in a drawer/pocket/bag at night and it's gone.
I think the intra-matic is a beautiful watch, my only issue is that even the 38mm on is a little big for a very dressy vintage-looking watch and 42mm is absolutely ridiculous. Silver dial definitely looks better in my opinion, also the silver dial gold plated one looks pretty nice too. Almost $1000 seems a little steep, though. You could get a pretty nice vintage Omega or some similar dress watch for that price.
I have skelly wrists, any suggestions for a good watch?
>trying on watch
>even at the tightest it'll go, it's still loose
Why is there so much fucking garbage in this thread? Holy shit you people are either impoverished, have no taste, or just downright autistic. Is it that difficult to have a couple thousand dollars of disposable income at some point in your life that you put towards a respectable watch? For fuck's sake /fa/ is pathetic.
Seriously? Aqua Terras are pretty nice I guess, but they're nothing special and actually kind disappointing for the price. It's not like you got the greatest watch ever or something. And acting superior because you spent more on something is pretty fucking pathetic to begin with anyway.
Currently wearing pic related (not my pic)
I also have a Tag I like wearing, but this has seen the most wear.
looks good but there are so many things I would buy before spending that much for an accessory. right now though that costs almost as much as my car (and it's a good car). remember you're on a children's cartoon forum.
And yes I wear all of them, except for like 3 of the $5 ones.... They range in price from $8k-$25.... But average is like $200
Why are you wearing a watch on the back of your hand?
That's a big boy watch, by the way. You might want to look at women's watches or in the youth section to fit your little wrists.
I ordered a 41.5mm Orient Ray, and was afraid it looks like a pizza plate on my 6.3" wrist, but it's fine. Pic related.
My soviet Vostok. The date is a bit faded but overall a nice cop for 20$.
So this is my watch( don't really have the dough to buy something nicer atm) and the bracelet needs to be changed, any recommendations?
Come on buddy, youre better than that
just got this a few hours ago
gonna test it next week in st.anton
>филc гyд мaнг
well, the color of the strap should match the color of belt/shoes
what kind of advice do you want?
That price seems totally reasonable, do you know how much it fucking costs to make nice high quality heat-blued hands?
Not nearly as much as it costs DW to fake it using inferior lead-based Chinese blue paint instead, that's for sure.
