Not really /fa/ but the cinematography is amazing
>le too deep 4 u
>the only philosophical concept is that people are becoming to reliant on technology and becoming emotionally distant because of that

You have a shit taste of film, anon
but none of these mean anything in terms of /fa/.
i get that there's a certain aesthetic attached to the whole /fa/ thing. But when i look at the movies posted in this thread it just seems like its all sliightly obscure movies that they enjoyed and thought had a good atmosphere. only a few of them have really good costume design.
i think i'm just getting sick of the trend of asking if something is /fa/ even though it has nothing to do with fashion. some examples from the catalog:
Are stickers on laptops /fa/? Post /fa/ stickers
Is social justice /fa/?
Is being a socialist /fa/?
A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night
What's faggy about it? You don't like yellows, salmon, and plum? I guarantee those are going to be the in colors in the near future. It was in the late 60s/early 70s. Or did you not like the retroshic of things like the glasses? Because that's pretty contemporary
>everything in here is pleb as fuck
sorry i dont watch movies
non plebs please post cinema
>OH BRUH ONLY INTRO KNOW-NOTHING FAGS WATCH FELLINI
You are one clown-ass motherfucker. You can't post Jodorowsky, Klimenko/Ilin, Merhige, etc., etc., ad in-fucking-finitum in a thread about "fashionable" movies
Fuck off, before I start ranting about Brakhage at your uneducated ass
Where can I get a Stalker jacket, by the way?
/fa/ hasn't really ment actual fashion on this board for awhile. While we do discuss fashion, we also just go on a generally aesthetic of what we find cool and interesting. Plus since we all browse this board and mostly trust the opinions of each other (I don't know why considering the WAYWT threads) we like to see other peoples taste for things such as music, home decor, films, etc.
Things such as political stance and eye color are most likely just shit posters.
Literally anything by Wong Kar-wai, was watching Happy Together yesterday and god damn can that sunglasses wearing man make aesthetically beautiful films, props to Christopher Doyle too ofc
>Le watched it sober meme
I dropped 300ug and watched that movie, fuck you. That was seriously one of the worst trips I had. It was all bad feels and tragedy. It is NOT a movie to watch tripping. And it's not even /fa/
Grand Budapest Hotel and basically every Wes Anderson movies
you said it
royal tenenbaums also gets me everytime
Almost anything from the 50's/60's is applicable. Auteur directors knew how to dress.
This. Should have been post #1.
I don't think there are any good movies where the characters are unintentionally poorly dressed.
They're supposed to be normies, so I imagine it was intentional.
>esp. if you like young gay sexual tension
Not listing Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, or Darjeeling Limited???
All his movies are great.
check out throne of blood, the GOAT macbeth film translation
Yeah, honestly that part really took me out of the movie since there was only one scene before where they "talk" about the n-word and that was a comedic scene. Great movie anyway.
It's a really absurd film, but the visual sequences are amazing.
Amour, Biutiful, Imamura's Black Rain, Lilya 4-Ever, Secret Sunshine, Shame (1968), Threads, Turtles Can Fly.
Synecdoche, New York is really bleak.
Or maybe Coen brothers' A Serious Man? Exceptionally dark comedy.
is sickboy wearing the same shirt bill murray wore inside out in Lost in Translation?
Vice Records released OFF's first record, First Four EPs, and they had to have lost money on every single purchase; it was four 7 inch records in a boxset, came with a download code, and was only like 10 bucks
Complain all you want but that's cool as shit
The act of killing + look of silence.
Naked from Mike Leigh. Even more if you have real mentally illness.
Reprise is more effay m9
I've been to Oslo, and that is how people in their 20s literally dress up there
Oslo 31 August. Not only it is effay (the main character wears memechrome fits+Scandinavian setting), but it is also a great film. Similar to Transpotting in some or other way.
Made me buy my leather jacket tbph
It's pretty much perfect, but what's /fa/ about it?
Other than this scene resembling what happens when people post their pics.
i cannot describe how terrifying it was watching that movie stoned.
Though i knew i wasn't, i felt like i was in a dream watching myself watch myself. Too fucking real.
His DMT trip isn't really anything like what DMT is like, not in my experience, but everything else about it is pretty spot on.
i was going to choose it's sister film "Blow Up"
This must be the most /fa/ film ever made, especially with this soundtrack:
Նռան գույնը (1969)
The Color of Pomegranates
by "better" you mean "more similar to mine". This is because you are probably more interested in "aesthetics" and costume design in film than other aspects, and thus other people with similar tastes, hence people on /fa/ will have similar tastes.
Personally I think /p/ has the best taste of any board on 4chan but that's because i like cinematography more than costume design and "aesthetics"
The Macbeth wasn't the greatest adaptation but the costumes and set design, oh boy.
I suffered diagnosed depression. I think it's pretty clear that Johnny is either bipolar or unstable. Headache, stupid bullshit he says, mood swings, sudden aggression and the way he destroys his life without even regretting anything.
Little different... Unless Sickboy muddied the yellow, or something...
>no Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari
German Expressionism is aesthetic as fuck.
For the best realistic /fa/ clothes design. My pick goes to Three Colors Trilogy by Kieslowski.
My all time favorite dude!
Best Tark. Also Zerkalo has a lot of great dress work.
Just looks like Newer Andrei Rublev or Seventh Seal. It does look nice for today's standards though.
This is as /fa/ Japan will ever get. Only Ozu's films can compete with this amazing costume design. Though he still falls flat.
>This is as /fa/ Japan will ever get. Only Ozu's films can compete with this amazing costume design. Though he still falls flat.
Not true. I find that most Japanese films are /fa/. If anything its more the unspoken emotion they always have so much of. The long pauses and ominous soundtracks in both the yakuza and the family dramas films.
The comedies are something else tho...i dont fuck with them heavy.
We got so far without dumb flicks....
>leon the professional
great, entertaining film
By Park Chan-Wook, the same director of Oldboy. By that account it was a little disappointing. I prefer Oldboy.
Standard nice film
>Anything Wes Anderson
His next film is going to be stop motion animated!
I'm interested in how technology will shape our future, and this is very my vibe so i'm biased towards liking it. My other film loving friends tend to not like it. Great soundtrack.
>A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night
I haven't watched this one yet but it looks good!
>Enter the Void
Haven't watched this in years. It's due a rewatch I think.
Been intending to watch this for a while!
Yall would like Buffalo 66
damn you, i was gonna post this.
ctrl+f "Eyes Wide Shut"
Seriously /fa/, I'm so disappointed.
