ITT: post futuristic, technical, space exploration inspired fits.
I think lunarcore can be subtly pulled off if done right.
I'm also making this thread to bump off some shitty b8.
Dope, w2c boots and headphones?>>10907809
W2c jacket and hoodie
Thanks a bunch m8
looks like a slightly different piece than what the link has, the FRAGILE on the arm is in black lettering on the pic while the link shows a black rectangle with white lettering inside. is it a previous iteration or?
I swear to god, everytime I see those threads this pic is all I can think of
>watch the expanse looking for more lunarcore inspo
Fuck me I thought the first post was a brilliant troll of /fa/ but some people actually buy into this?
Praise be to Allah my home country doesn't tolerate shit like this.
Hope they're not Julius_7. That stuff is top notch but expensive af.
Doing Lunarcore for cheap is possible but difficult.
Hmm that seems more WW2 Airforce style.
This jacket is also vaporwave/chillwave, etc. since it's 80s retro space age.
If anyone is wondering how you can make those white rugged looking white fingerless gloves just search "how to make fingerless (or ninja) gloves with socks" on YouTube.
Lots of cosplay weaboos have vids on how to make these. They're pretty easy.
Ask Knoch because idk. He responds in the new tumblr chat, eventually, but he always does just don't ask him creepy shit because he will ignore you.
And I think he doesn't clicks links either so you will have to explain him a little which hoodie, you know... wait just link him to his own tumblr, his pic is in his own tumblr after all. I bet he trusts a link to his own photos lol.
Meh why would you want them anyway... Carrying those headphones just for decoration for Lunarcore would be too much discomfort. Lunarcore is goodlooking and I'm not saying it shouldn't be accessorized but it must be practical first just like soldier's clothing.
Good for you man, I don't even know who that nigga is but ok.
Lunarcore makes me wonder where there avantgarde people in ancient times? like in the Renaissance for example...
ppl that looked from eras beyond the present one. Interesting... We might be the first generations to try to emulate future before it happens, thats... awkwardly interesting and brilliant at the same time artistic-wise.
Im not familiar with tumblr, where do i go to ask him?
Im not the person you answered but Id like to know more about where he sourced his materials, I know he makes a lot of it himself
Based falco and space fits. Most stylish main.
yes, old iteration
also beware, those UEG jackets are noisy as fuck because they're made out of tyvek
the lettering peels off pretty fast too
the company claims that it's designed that way for some sort of artistic decay reasons, but I probably wouldn't cop
I dunno if ancient people had much of a concept of the future. Lunarcore works because we have a lot of futuristic space and science fiction related fodder from the past hundred or so years, mostly the time since the industrial revolution. In ancient times, no one had a concept of space as a place where humans could go. Most thoughts were grounded on Earth and I'd imagine it was really hard to conceive of the future before there was a lot of technology to extrapolate from.
The same goes for fashion. I don't think Romans in togas were thinking about how to progress pants or whether to add ribbing to the arms of their clothes. At that point clothing was still mostly about function and the biggest jump was adding some gold brocade or something.
The avant garde people in ancient times were the thinkers, philosophers, and artists, the true renaissance men.
I dunno much about Lunarcore, but this just seems absolutely perfect.
Pants we know, but I'm interested in jacket and shirt.
Sneakers I don't think are PF Flyers, they look like they might have had a Tretorn logo on the side at one point??
More info pls!
this was a very limited collaboration between the artist Tom Sachs and Nike. There are a couple pairs of the shoes up on eBay right now for $3000 - $6000 :'^ /
I bought the jacket and the shoes before those Lunarcore infographics were posted and when poet was still around.
Granted, Palladiums were talked about already, but like I said, I did not transfer entire infographics to my shoppingcart.
Pic related do people even consider plait patterned anythings for a futuristic fit?? Let alone be proud of it...
The official Aliens shoes are p future, and come in a trillion colors.
Also if anyone knows where to grab/has a pair lemme know
I can draw stuff pretty well, pls no bully
Bumping with my lunar esque backpack, from another thread
I wish I had some better shoes
Just dumping some. White techwear has some serious overlap, and also looks dope.
Thoughts on SISP ss16?
I think destiny has a lot of cool inspo stuff, bungie's art direction has always been on point
That stuff is really cool, but it's also really expensive.
You know what fuck off tbqh, you couldn't do any better m8
Looks pretty lunar. But the material isn't technical enough in my opinion.
Nice double dubs, nice outfit. It isn't really that lunar though, the color palette doesn't really match.
Yeah, I've always loved bungie art. It would be hard to pull off anything close to your pic though.
new shits that nike just dropped are p lunar
are you joking? 4 out of 5 random pedestrians walking down the street could do better. not even trying to be mean, its just really childish in style. i'm looking at the boot, the tools, the hands, and it really looks like it was drawn by someone with a learning disability who doesn't understand how to render shapes vs symbols. :/ sorry man, but why dont you try looking at more of the bungie concept art? see how those artists approach the same objects you do (control pannels or helmets), google image search some stock photos for reference.
It took me ten minutes in between some fucking chemistry problems, give me a break
I'll make a good one for you, I might put it in the next thread if I make one.
Question; how do you think this thread went? Was it well received? Any comments?
>tfwn lo paying blue collar space jobs yet
Tbh I think to really have the lunarcore look you need some futurist but more expensive pieces from like Raeburn or Y3 but then pair it with thrift store shit. High-tech low-life is the future
>ywn do construction work in the Outer Ring
Yeah, I really feel what you're saying. However I don't think it necessarily means spending more money. What you really need is a few technical pieces with very technical materials, though that usually necessitates spending more.
I love the look of it. I also love the dubs. W2c?
Only works if its altered for more avant garde fits imo.
Though when it comes to materials I think epic cotton is the best for the aesthetic. A lot of technical properties, but still wears like cotton. Perfect for dystopias.
Old Acronym kit, unfortunately haven't made anything white in a while. Best alternative right now is probably >>10916428 but the ACG branding kinda ruins it.
>in the Outer Ring
damnit im not dumb enough to work near rtg generators, i'll only work up to maybe jupiter, any farther and the solar panels are useless so they just slap rtg's everywhere fuck that noise
Damn. That stuff looks really fucking good though. I'm a poorfag so its hard to cop good shit.
Got any pics?
> implying illegal space aliens won't take our jobs anyway
Not lunar, but here is a jacket made with epuc cotton. Note the wear on the cuffs. Much cooler after wear than goretex imo.
>On my way to rendez-vois with P-929 construction site
>Turn off the rcs system because major leak and i havent get my ass around to fix it and there is still time before the next correction maneuver
>black ship with cut off atmo-wings in front of me
>suddenly it turns around
>look in the cockpit,its a greygger
>it starts a docking signal ping
>wait what are you trying to..
>their ship is getting close
>i wait till direct galvanic connection
>hack into mainframe, put their iondrive on reverse, their crash their fancy modded charge dissipator into newly reinforced meteorite shield
>then space police arrested us both and i was released with only a ticket as i claimed "self-defence" but their ass got deported the fuck outta the system
So is that stuff waterproof or at least water resistant? Also w2c epic cotton garments? And would a thin top layer be cool enough for when it gets warmer?
Reminds me of this one time
> be docking with station
> It's a typical ring station, so have to match angular velocities
> some goon coming out
> exits station, still spinning
> apparently he didn't know how to stop spinning
> not sure how he got in in the first place
> can see the fucker throw up in cockpit
> he fucking JETTISONS
> craft still spinning, now flipping on all axes
> wing clips the guy
> had to SOS for ambulance
> broke two ribs and a shin
I-I'm sorry anon... I think I got it a few years ago for some Microsoft points, I only just found it lying in my closet last week. I put the flag patch on my self to be more lunar. Maybe try and look for Microsoft apparel and stuff?
It's definitely waterproof and breathable. On par with goretex stuff I've owned (never had any goretex pro though).
As for where to get it, I know Acronym used to use it quite a bit but I think they dropped it since it does show wear after a while. Usually you can keep an eye out on grailed or ebay to grab a jacket or some pants for a decent price.
Just finished my bomber version of the NASA aces suit.
Copped an old edition of an alpha industries jacket for cheap since nobody liked the colorway. I think it's the refueler? Any orange bomber would work. The patches come from the same company NASA uses, AB-emblems. Turns out they sell to the public as well. Has an ISS back patch covering up hideous text on the back.
Should I cop pic related for $102, or the replica >>10915736 for $38? I'm not sure how much of a difference in quality the actual Alphas are.
Need some goggles but I think this is pretty /lunarcore/
>We might be the first generations to try to emulate future before it happens
You don't really believe that. I bet my ass there were always people wearing strange shit and shouting "these clothes are the future". People probably just regarded them as idiots...
This shit aint lunarcore. Lunarcore aims to capture the brutality of space as well as all the romanticism that goes with space exploration through the use of bulky silhouettes, excessive/maximalist styling, and military inspirations contrasted with extremely clean colors like white, grey, and such. Its not just white bombers and light denim jeans with palladiums. Y'all need some more knoch lunar fits in your lives.
How well could these work in a Lunar fit? Asking because I have a pair anyways
Copped first lunarcore piece today
It has some really nice spacey feeling fabrics, this could work? Sorry for shitty pic
I think lunarcore encompasses more than just silhouette, in fact I think silhouette is one of the less important aspects of the style, loosely form fitting works best to invoke the utilitarian side imo
Of course actual spacewear is bulky but you have to interpret and invoke that in a real world context; I think that's best achieved through quilted and padded details more than an overall cumbersome silhouette
I personally go for more of a "stuff you would wear under your spacesuit and aboard the craft", with some suit influences rather than actual spacesuit myself
Seems pretty good. I didnt usually shop there but I've been buying basics from yhere lately and spotted a few things like this, their quality seems really on point lately compared to other highstreet stuff. I think they're trying to appeal to street fashion people rather than normies lately as ive been spotting stuff influenced by kanye and other popular things, so they seem to be paying more attention to material and cut which isn't something highstreet stores tend to do
Oh wow, I might actually have to check it out now. Thanks m8
brah visit /ic/? Like it's the least helpful board on 4chan but it should ground you in what's good and what's not, you don't want the danger of becoming one of those delusional artists that sell chicken-scratch shit on etsy for $800.
who is this faggot and why wont he stop posting?
what are some accessories that can be added to a lunarcore fit?
reckon these would work for a lunar fit if I cleaned them up and removed the blue/color from logo?
yeah i agree. i can get these for a few bucks so I'm not really worried about damaging. i wonder what i could do as an alternative if bleaching doesn't work, maybe some sort of paint or something?
Palladiums have better lunar colorways than sfbs
Thanks man. Here's the back with the patch.
Patches, tech accessories such as smart watches, hr monitors, and earbuds are all good. Worth noting that literal astronauts used earbuds instead of headphones.
Just saw these boxing shoes.
Pretty cool, the shape reminds of of lunar core, not the color scheme.
did you happen to go searching for boxing shoes after that lonsdale pair i posted? i always thought boxing shoes would be great for lunarcore fits but no one seems to do them
also these adidas old boxing boots would be fuckin dope but i can't find them anywhere for a reasonable price
Again, yea lmfaoooo!
Went typing away right after you posted.
Lunarcore has taken over my soul.
I mean the first thing I saw when looking at boxer shoes online was semi-lunarcore.
!!! Those are really cool! I even like the colored strips.
Not the right color palette, but the form seems p lunar desu. Pic is too dark anyway.
Also pic related has a nice lunar color palette if I do say so myself
yes it works on chicks as well.
you don't need the approval of anyone for that, just DO IT!
Lel don't worry I was just meming. But I think it would be a lot harder to pull off because of the general body shape, and how lunarcore goes for a more bulky look most of the time. But with the right colors and fit I think you could do it, but I don't really have a clue where to start personally.
anon it's easier for girls to dress like boys and pull it off than boys to dress like girls and pull it off.
Both can pull it off but girls literally just have to go to the tailor.
Thats /fa/-tan our board mascot and the other is /cgl/-tan his little sister.
That jacket doesn't exist but I guess you could DIY buy a white bomber and put some NASA patches on it.
The Cargo Pants just look on Ebay for cheap white military cargos, try to buy them the closest to your size and go to the tailor to taper them and make them tube like skinnies.
Boots. Most white or gray pairs do. Palladium is highly recommended for the price/quallity and look ratio.
SAME advice for the girls just tailor everything harder, assuming you're more skinny.
Ok newfafs here is what you need to understand about Lunarcore.
"Lunarcore" isn't a globalized style, it's something that was created on /fa/. By a tripfag I don't remember the name and Knochensack already did it on his tumblr blog.
/fa/ liked it since it's avantgarde, new and retro futurist. Most ITT don't even own tons of "Lunarcore" pieces, just a few at best. We're just starting out. We're early adopters.
Lunarcore isn't cheap. It's a mid-tier investment I would say, but nothing that is high-tier like a lot designer pieces. Unless you want Y-3 Warriors or Julius_7 cargos which will look amazing and you should buy them if you got spare money for it.
I'm OP, do you like my thread btw? Pls no bully.
They're okay on space shuttle missions, and maybe orbital EVA but they wouldn't do as well as men on a f different planet. Just like why they don't do well in the military. An astronaut who might have to carry lots of gear is usually going to be a man, however exosuits might change that
Being this selfish and not including footwear of the lunar locals.
It's a troll trolling dude.
How the fuck the girls can't be astronauts? We are a fucking animal with high IQ, wee need to fucking reproduce, we need females on space to survive and vice versa. Of course girls can be astronauts or else humanity will never colonize other planets. Simple as that.
Use your head.
Why? you know he is trolling or didn't pass basic biology class or doesn't believes in science, etc.
Why does his opinion matters to you? who gives a fuck about what he has to say. Save your time and ignore these people next time.
do you have bleach? drink it.
No jk. Put it on your washing machine, tons of it. Put some jeans that fit you nice you don't use anymore, they're going to come out light blue at best or white idk lol experiment.
Put them on and wear those shoes and a pink sweater or any light color for the top. Congrats you did 80s Normcore, now you look #Vaporwave.
Could this pass as semi-lunarcore? With maybe a different colour scheme and jacket over the top?
I thought this was pretty cool. Not a fan of the shiny pants tho.
Are cargos in this color lunarcore? Also, where to cop grey cargos
>That jacket doesn't exist
This is pretty damn close
