Where do people stand on duffle coats these days? I need a new wool coat but find many of the ones today are "hyper masculine" or covered in unnecessary flair like zippers or massive epaulets. All I'm looking for is a simple, plain, minimal coat that doesn't look like it belongs in assassins creed.

I like them plain too, as long as they're thick, heavy and warm. Lightweight duffle coats just don't make any sense

i like the material, but i think the toggles are gross af, even if they are practical for gloved hands or whatever.
IMO buy a bridge coat and replace the buttons if you want something with a similar aesthetic but not butt ugly.
