SS16 hitting stores, FW16 Just hit the runway, lets talk.
Currently working on a comprehensive Fabric code, leather and colour plan, still taking submissions.
Also doing a bit of a rejig with the /ROG/ OG post which i'll talk about later in the thread
P.S. - if your gonna shitpost please also give us your name and address so we can hang out
NB: USE THIS TEXT FORMAT FOR EACH THREAD FOR EASE OF USE/STOPPING THE SAME QUESTIONS COMING IN
First of my editions to the OP post
A list of all the runway shows since 1998
If anyone knows the previous seasons from 1994-1997 that would be great, I can add them in but in the meantime if this can be added to the OG post
Secondly, this is the Fabric plan to date, I won't upload it to imgur yet as I don't think its quite ready, and every time an adjustment is made i'll have to reupload.
But when we do get it a bit further on, it will be added to the OG post in the form of an imgur file.
And ofcourse keep hitting me up with additions to it, even if I don't reply to you I probably will have amended it.
yo how can i get in contact with you?
somewhere around 15 rn building up a solid wardrobe, currently need shoes though
i try to wear at least one piece of rick every day
dont need to know anything just linking with people
im the dude who started the idea of a list and im amazed how far youve taken it, amazing work man
i suggest a google doc or a pastebin for the fabric list, something that uses the same link forever after updates, idk how imgur works or if it does that
I wouldnt want to count to be quite honest. I rotate quite frequently by selling some stuff and buying some more in. I'm trying to move away from basics and get some more runway stuff though at the moment.
I don't wear full rick everyday, but most days I have atleast one piece of Rick, im lucky enough that most of the rest of my wardrobe integrates with Rick well.
I like what Rick is doing with his season naming, mythological and creatures and the like (sphinx, faun, mastodon)
Progression of from there thinking of stuff, he can have stuff like Gryiffon, Phoenix, Unicorn, Penis etc etc.
Just finished fiddling on googledocs, and hopefully you should all be able to see this and not write dicks all over it.
Got some additions and amendments:
LPD: blistered calf (shoes)
LD: destroyed lamb (crinkly paper leather)
WD: Virgin wool
HM: 100% Virgin Wool weave
WSB: Boiled Cashmere
LPO: Oiled Calf
MD: Stiff Woven 100% Silk
LKUP: Laser Cut Calf Leather
WM: 44% mohair 37% polyamide 19% wool (this appears to be used a catchall food Mohair)
LNS: Stretch Lamb
LNSP: Stretch Sheep
LL: Washed Calf
KB: 100% Cotton Denim Bleached
BNSK: 100% cotton, Polyester embroidery
B: woven suiting cotton, summer weight
ABLV: 100% wool “blanket”
LSSPS: Stretch Lamb Suede
LGWM: Thick washed calf
LAT: Laminated Horse leather
Nice thanks man, added them all.
What I have noticed is that two identical codes can have a slightly different composition
/WM - 70% Mohair 30% Silk
/WM - 44% Mohair 37% Polyamide 19% Wool
>What I have noticed is that two identical codes can have a slightly different composition
Maybe there is seasonal change or 'evolution' of the fabric, like it used to be something but they developed and decided to change the fabric to something else.
Yeah, I figured it was worth calling that out. Unfortunately there's a possibility of conflicting codes throughout the many seasons before they developed some consistency at Plinth.
I'll add more later if I remember.
These Ramones are labeled LGER. We already know what LG stands for, but what's ER?
I'm getting these confused with my other shoes. These Ramones are actually labeled OS.
Just arrived in the mail. Got them for £174.
Why's it so hard to buy a pair of black jersey cotton pods? Missed out on sale season and wasn't looking for pods earlier in the fall/winter so I've been watching grailed and shit for like 3 weeks now with no luck. Tons of felpa and the TE pods, but not a single pair of the jersey cotton ones. What the fuck? Someone sell me a pair
What Rick pieces do you guys hang and what do you fold and store?
Kind of want to hang my tops and tees but don't really know whats ok and wont stretch out.
I'm guessing the thick jersey stuff like OS tanks will be ok but stuff like silk and viscose wont be
so far I've only been buying my things from retailers but I really want that drkshdw tote bag. I'm planning a trip to nyc to visit the store there. what do I need to buy for the tote? I heard shoes?? or is it anything.
Please please please do not pay for totes. A lot of retailers literally give these away, and most even throw them in the trash along with the hangers and hang tags. I'm sure if you buy anything at all at the Rick store in NYC they will be happy to give you a tote if you simply ask, and are more than likely to just give you one anyway.
Designer clothing boutiques like to homogenize branding hence why they will throw away designers packing materials. Literally dumpsters full of branded hangers during delivery season. Go to your local boutique during this time and ask a sales person you might have dealt with and they might do you a favor and pull some out of the stock room.
If any of you are so desperate to pay for them, post here first. I'll get some for you when deliveries come. Pay for shipping.
Is this tag legit?
I understand its Lillies, but nonetheless im still a bit confused by the layout
Don't have the perfect width hanger which causes it to have a weird crease either right before or after the end of the shoulder.
Also some of them are heavy calf so even with my Rick hanger the leather on the arm gets this weird crease from hanging so long.
Same thing happens to my thick cotton tops. They sit on a hanger so long they get creases in weird places.
Also this is a pic of the actual garment, and that zip looks shoddy, its like 3 inches to long?
does anyone else suffer from this problem? whenever i wear rick pants there always a visible bulge on my crotch area. it forces me to wear looser tops than i would prefer (otherwise the shirt would cling around the bulge easily too)
#bigdickproblems or what?
i only got some cropped drawstring ones made of cotton but the material is kinda more stiff
judging from your pic you got some shitty drkshdw ones in a thin fleece or something. Usually ricks drop crotch pants have a thing with buttons in front of the bulge to avoid this problem but maybe your material is just too soft and you can still see it
desu i wouldn't worry about it nobody will notice it just wear a black longtee over it and you're golden
where can i find teddys hat, i looked it up and i found nothing
Good evening ROG! I'm thinking about buying my first pair of waxed denim and i realllly love the waxed memphis pants. I was wondering which size i should go for? My normal jean size is usually 32/32. ( male ) Should i size up or down since i've hears these pants are quite tight. Also the only shoes i own from rick currently are a pair of geobaskets and although i love them im not sure if the pants would work great together with them. What do you guys think? Thank you as always for all the help.
the bottom makes me think they're fake
i have all my normal jackets on wooden hangers
my rick leather gets a DESIGNATED plastic one that is better for the leather
you should take care of that shit if you pay 2k for some jacket
If real it would be appreciated
The signature on the bottom is honestly the least effective ID for fakes, since 90% of the knockoffs I've seen have it. The silhouette, construction, and leather of those are unmistakably legit.
Tag is definitely legit too. I don't know enough about women's sizing to explain the discrepancy, but Rick sizing is always kinda over the place.
I have Rick hangers which are the right width but don't do anything for the stretch/creases in the arms cause of how heavy the leather is.
I probably worry too much but I have the space so I just lay them flat.
What's the actual name of these ramones in this colourway/fabric
Can only find one pair for sale online and not in my size, they're tasty tho
Fake? Peep that og ass zipper. It's also got a strap to carry the jacket on your shoulder which fakes don't have
hello 4chan /fa/ . I am selling some creeper boots on grailed:
you should buy these boots on grailed
I've used elastic for that before, those really large hair ones. I prefer fabric strips though, but unless you use nice quality fabric in a dark color it usual looks weird. Wish I had pictures but I don't own any geos anymore.
lol its a curved hem tank top, he just got too big of a size for him
dont know what color since he uses filters
I really dig all of Rick's music for his shows
Kind of what they play in rick store aswell, sweet background musics
Kind of want it reverberating around my house from hidden speakers
or is that edgy af
>buy prisoners on Jan 10th
>delivery issues so hadn't arrived by 20th
>ask to cancel order on 21st
>gets cancelled and refunded today
I assume they will be back up on LN-CC some time soon if anybody is looking
I dont think that's true at all, I like visiting Unwoven still but most of its community is beyond egotistical. The last time I posted a fit there Timber literally had a tantrum because I didnt properly pick up my floor and asked for a method of "unwaxing" a pair of pants. It wasn't even addressed at her, it was seriously just a quick question I made because I thought if anyone knew how to do it, those on that site would know.
Sure the site isn't really revolved around shit like that, but Merz and the others always continuously bring up how much they like the free flowing discussion that goes on there. My question may not have been directed at the themes usually seen around in Unwoven but it wasn't taking away from them at all. There was no reason to attack me and dig up personal shit for a reason as unimportant as my question.
I will continue to visit the site because the discussions that go on there I still take interest in, but like I've said before Ill probably remain silent in the future. I have little reason to post
jesus christ why do you always write up 3 paragraphs of shit here if someone says anything negative about you here
it's anonymous imageboard don't take it so seriously jesus christ
you have got to be the most insecure person on 4chan I swear to god
then why does he post these huge walls of text all the fucking time defending himself
it's anonymous imageboard and he doesn't even bother using trip what the fuck does it matter someone calls him a faggot here
>implying this is ONLY an imageboard
>implying 5 (yes 5) lines of text is a huge wall
Given your implications I can imply the following about you:
>post on unwoven
>lapdog of unwoven owner and moderators
>unable to read more than 4 lines in less than 5 seconds
>weak and kuk
lol everybody hates you on there because you're a literal teenager posting third hand rick fake outfits
>I have little reason to post
this is the only truth in your post you've got nothing interesting to say
For the most part yeah, there are sometimes interesting things said. Not really enough to justify lurking as much as I do but....
Why do you keep posting this?
I could ignore it or type something out. I choose to type something out and defend myself, I've never been good at keeping things short. You can teach me how if you'd like.
I could care less if someone calls me a faggot but when you are implying the only reason I post here is for attention Im going to defend myself.
My old posts were for the most part quite awful, mostly just because I couldn't articulate myself very well(still not too good at it) and my mechanics were awful
Why do you care so much about me? Everyone there always tries to act so aloof and apathetic to me/4chan/everything but at the end of the day they are still lurking the same threads, posting the same shit, and absorbing as much gossip as they can. Think what you want to about me, but Ill just let you know what you think right now is hardly the truth.
>this child literally posts pics from his dorm
Merz almost exclusively posts fits from that nasty bathroom. How is that any different?
My age shouldn't be a problem there are other posters there that are very close in age to me.
Just because you're anonymous it doesn't mean you can shitpost
Lets post some fits for once...
I love wearing my cropped drawstring pants durring the summer with a cotton long tee and some converse
I was wondering if there's anyone under 5'10, above 5'5 wearing rick shit. I'm currently 5'7 :'((( I was wondering if I'm too short to wear rick stuff?? Do you other shorter people get your stuff tailored? or does everything fit fine?
5'8" and I can wear most Rick pieces no problem. I don't get anything Taylor's but I do buy only XS bottoms and S/XS shirts. Ignore pending manlet troll comments.
Not me, I'm not sure I would ever get any use out of them. I really like how oliverdoor styles his though.
Are these legit?
They look old as fuck so they might be but the sides look weird
Hey I ordered a shirt from my habit and it arrived today but the tag was pinned to the actual fabric and not the two strips like I'm used to. Is it fake?
One second, I'll upload 10 pictures in a second so you can judge.
Pretty sure they're just DRKSHDW sweats in dark dust with the standard felpa/sweatpant material. Not sure if it's prisoners or regular uncuffed sweats, either would look basically the same.
They should be real easy to find! Dark dust & felpa is usually the last combo to sell out.
I have a gimp hoodie coming in XXL I got a great deal on. I usually wear L tops and XL jackets in rick and am hoping it will just be a nice oversize hoodie and not look too ridiculously big.
However some drkshdw tops I have are oversize medium even so maybe this fits a bit oversize and will look like im swimming in it? Otherhand mainline rick XL is tight on my back and arms.
Can't find XXL measurements so maybe someone can weigh in on whether I should stay excited or not. I wanted a drkshdw denim vest to wear with this, would an XXL one be the way to go if I want to own the oversize look?
I do have a drkshdw one size rick's tee that I would say fits like an XXL. I think it's pretty ridiculous but maybe I'll get the vest and play dressup with them all and never actually wear them outside.
slouchy jeans with geos I could see this being ok tho, I just never wear the ricks tee as is so maybe I shouldn't be getting more oversize stuff to begin with...
I'm 6' 190lbs. Will probably aim to lose 5lbs fat over the next little bit but am returning to the gym after an injury so size-wise I will stay the same (been lifting 4 years, decent muscle mass). haven't had a suit since high school.
The narrow shoulders are usually why I size up on rick, but like an XL naska bomber I just got is pretty tight in the arms, and I can't close it due to my back/ass (luckily it looks good open).
desu I might just go full rickmode in the gym and lose some size, I'm already reducing my leg mass by neglect.
thanks, that reassures me on my purchase a bit, I like hoodies to fit a bit big anyways.
but yeah the denotation of XXL alone makes me think it will be too big. worst case scenario I can get my money back for it easily on grailed, hopefully will work out though.
I really like Memphis jeans with boots, so in terms of silhouette I would say the ramones - keep the slender thing going. I kinda prefer my Geos with flowier pants.
That being said, they could both work really well if you styled the rest of it right.
geos. ramones are way too chunky with the white toe cap and should be worn with looser bottoms imo
Got a Hammered Lamb scuba jacket from crust AW09 up for sale on grailed:
If you have any questions or offers just hmu on grailed, if you tell me you're from /fa/ i'll hook you up!! picture isn't mine but it's the exact same model
Writing a little guide on the two types of codes like someone suggested earlier in the thread.
Shouldnt be to much longer and i'll post the link again, would be great if someone could check it over and make sure I have all my facts straight and to see what you guys think
Just idea I had but how about having pics of the materials as well?
Like showing different leather qualities and maybe describing what sets that specific leather apart from other types of leather Rick uses.
That in theory sounds like a good idea, but ultimately I think a bit of a wild goose chase.
I dont want the guide to be 150 pages long, and it would be difficult to get pictures of the same quality for every single material unless I had one of each with me. And even then the time involved to put it all together would be pretty horrendous.
God, I can't decide between all-white or all-black Tech colorways.
The way I saw it you could just click whatever leather you want to check from the google docs (like say blistered lamb) and it'd open gallery of jacket or something with the said material and close up of the material and have few words about it underneath.
Could be community effort, people could send pics of their own to you, granted it would be lot of effort and there should be some sort of standard for the pics so that they could be submitted.
Just an idea though, the list alone is helpful already.
It's extremely fine grit. You're using it on a synthetic material, your shoe sole, it's going to be able to handle it. It's very insignificant compared to the general wear of it being a shoe and all. I only need to do it once every couple months anyhow and they still look brand new after owning for nearly 2 years.
You would be hard pressed to do any damage to your shoe with a fucking magic eraser.
First time i've ever done it to my geos.
Started wearing them without laces for a while and was conditioning some other boots and just decided to do my geos aswell
Did lexol leather cleaner then lexol conditioner
they look pretty sparkly now
Lexol is what I use! Best option for geos. I also have a neutral cream conditioner from red wing, I use a light coating of that as a little added conditioning/protection. Good shit good shit.
Could be a different username for a different forum.
Regardless it's not a steal, really. Good price but those soles are molested. Look at those layers of outsoles added. It's like tree-rings of hand-me-downs
Do any Rick bottoms work with Ramone lows other than cropped pants, jeans, cargos and shorts?
The more I wear my prisoners the more I feel like they're only OK - they work alright for most Rick fits, but there's almost always a better alternative to them.
I only like prisoners with a low sneaker, like the runners. I know what you mean, I don't wear my prisoners at all anymore. They are pretty much a one-of fit with my tech runners. Otherwise I find pods plus leggings do the job better
between prisoners, ramone highs, and basic tees (the ones you can twist and gather around your body)... what's a best first rick purchase? These are items I like and think I could work with without a full rick wardrobe.
Anything else worth considering as a first pice?
