Dude, you have literally only 1 lamp in your whole room? How do you want to create different moods, highlight different things visually....
Get at least two more lamps, maybe three. Get nice lamps. One at the bed, one at the table, one for comfy, warm ambient lighting.

Also, you have too mush black stuff for such a small room. Especially around your TV. Its like black hole in the corner of your room.

Your room has very different problems than OPs room. You have light furniture, windows, a plant, a nice lamp... You just have not enough stuff to fill the space than you have. The art of minimalism is to have just enough stuff, to fill the space with the least amount of things, intentionally work with empty space. Your room is neither filled nor does the void work to contrast anything. A floorstanding lamp, 1-2 big or high hanging plants, 2 seat cushions and a nice rug. Bam!

Also, distribute your stuff more evenly across the room. Mount some shelves high on the wall beside your bed and put your DVDs/books/whateveryouhave there. Right now you have three points of attention: the bed, the table with your PC and the TV station. With two or three additional shelves you can make these less visually heavy.

Remove everything from your wall, paint red wall to white, change table to something less bulky, why the fuck do you need 3 monitors anyway? I'm using 2x27 and that's too much already, change your bed to expandable sofa, change tv stand and remove all this trash from your room. It's already too small and you making it even smaller with all this shit. And why the fuck do you need all these watches? Just buy one sumbariner instead, same goes to everything in your room/life.
