Can anyone recommend a decent travel backpack?
Preferably something I can purchase from REI so I can go test it out.
Currently I have a generic REI duffel bag and a throw away Adidas backpack. Just need something I can strap my sleeping bag to would be ideal.
Thanks in advance. ╰(*´︶`*)╯ Thanks!

Just try a bunch in the store my man, and make sure to load them up with both weight and volume.
Since we're on the topic of travel anyway, I'd like some inspo on traveller style.
Dat there Nathan Drake is a top notch example

This. Whatever you do, don't order one online. Try them on and make sure they're fitted perfectly, especially if they're going to be loaded up. My girlfriend swore by her Arc'teryx pack when she used to travel, and I've generally found that Black Diamond packs fit me well, but this is just anecdotal.
Oh, keep an eye out for techwear threads. They *might* be helpful.
How much "backpacking" are you going to do and where are you going?
There is a big difference between backpacking in Northern Europe during winter and backpacking through remote villages in South-East Asia during summer.

I'm working my way up the California coast line. I started in San Diego and planning to end somewhere close to Portland, OR.
All my gear is meant for desert right now, I'm kinda in the mountains at the moment with snow, I'm slowly changing my gear for cold climates.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.(ง •̀_•́)ง
