alright, /fa/, let's settle this once and for all.
classic 1460 or mono?
Why are some people so up in arms if someone prefers the boot all-black? Half of this thread is
>if you can't handle the yellow ur an insecure fag
The fuck? Surely you can understand why someone would desire the cleaner look. Or is this some "the first ones had yellow stitching the blacks ones aren't "real"" thing.
>buying doc martens
SOLOVAIR is the original manufacturer of docs. While DM outsources their stuff to buttfucknowhere, solovair are still all handmade in England. They are all still the best quality available and true to the original design. They are the best value too.
got a couple of pairs of solovair and where i agree with you that they're in general a better boot quality wise, you can't really pick them up as cheap as you can docs. And if you actually look after your docs, even with the shitty new leather, they still last long enough
mono all the way. am never going back.
i sold my classic 1461s and bought the mono 1461s and they look great.
my classic 1460s are already perfectly broken in after 4 hard winters and they are the most comfy boot ever but once they are retired ill be getting the mono 1460 to replace them for sure.
>get black dye
>dye the strings black
You have a wardrobe or enough clothes at least that the yellow accents will complement
You want a versatile pair of boots that you can wear with pretty much anything.
WHO THE FUCK WOULDN'T WANT CLASSIC?
One of the most stylish parts about the boot is the yellow stitching and brown soles, that's what separates them from 100s of other boots.
You're literally taking away what makes it a doc marten.
Just fucking buy other boots if you don't like the classic.
You faggots actually worry about matching to this extent.
Classics go with anything.
As long as you're not autistic about a hint of yellow on your boots, then they are fine.
>wanting versatile boots that go with anything
Just wear desert boots then.
Docs and combat boots will never go with everything.
