Yeah, although if you are losing enough weight to end up with loose skin I feel like how fast you lose it won't really make a difference? I don't actually know for sure, maybe google around a bit or ask your doctor. Skin is elastic, and will tighten a bit if weight is lost. If you're going from super obese to tiny, then yeah you're going to have loose skin, but drinking water, being young, and losing at a slower rate definitely makes skin elasticity bounce back.

Eating out is harder, but, you can get reasonably good at estimating calories based on simple meals.

I mean at a college canteen I imagine they have chicken breasts. Now they might put some sauce on it, but you can scrape that off. Salad, veggies, etc are all pretty reasonable to estimate. You'll taste it if they've put butter on there. I went to college years ago but I was able to find healthy stuff.

That works when you are still kinda heavy, but once you are thin that can raise bad attention. I'd say just eyeball what you want to eat and leave the rest of the plate (or cut it up to make it look like you've eaten more, I do that pretty often if with friends and they cook something ultra high calorie). Just say how good it is while you eat the bit you do eat, cut while you talk, pick it up with your fork, then talk more and set it down, etc etc etc.

Cravings can mean two things.

Option A: You are actually hungry. Rejoice! This means you are definitely losing weight. Have a black coffee to subdue the hunger.

Option B: You need an emotional crutch. Practice self-care. Meditate, have a cup of herbal tea or flavoured tea, take a long bath, read a book.

As long as you are in a caloric deficit you'll drop weight. The thing with the makeup of your food is some food keeps you fuller longer than others. You want to stick to higher protein and fiber, because for the same amount of calories they seem to keep you fuller longer.

I'd say avoid carbs at night, within reason, as well.

Gradually. -750kcal off your TDEE until your weight loss stops. If too hungry then do -500kcal off TDEE. As you drop in weight, you'll get less hungry, so you can keep adjusting based on your new TDEE. When you get super low bodyfat it is harder than when it is higher, so you might even do more gradual cuts. Some people fast or whatever but to me that is unnecessary since not in that big of a rush.

tl;dr: gradually cut out calories, when weight loss stops cut a bit more

It's kind of personal preference. Some people say low carb or even no carbs is the best way to lose weight. Other people (like myself) succeeded in losing weight with low fat high carb. Generally as long as you stay away from sugar (occasional fruit is fine) and liquid calories you'll be good. Just eat lots of veggies, eating nutritious foods is highly important when cutting calories. Also protein as well to keep you from losing all your muscle, unless that's your goal.

Basically some fat and protein is necessary to survive. Carbs are optional.
Protein < Carbs + Fat
If you eat a lot of protein but not a lot of carbs/fat then that can cause problems as well. Everything else is up to you.

Are you aware that going below a certain weight is unhealthy and can fuck you up long term?

Do you think achieving your effay slender dream body and the joy you get everytime you see your weight drop is worth the health risk or do you just ignore that aspect completely?

Furthermore, I get that this board is all about aesthetics over practicability. But while I can kind of understand that you find people with insect-like limbs beautiful, from a practical standpoint I can not understand why you would choose being underweight over being really fit. Food is not only fuel for your muscles, but also your brain. If you're going to tell me that you can achieve the same productivity as me on ~600kcal a day, don't, because I will laugh in your face. Being fit has so many advantages, I can't fathom why you would still go thin.

I'm dropping a bunch of weight. I started at 216-lbs (5' 10"), then at 175-lbs finally said I need to buy clothing - so bought jeans, etc, but now I'm down to 165-lbs and dropping pretty steady and these new jeans are getting big.

Is not, worked amazingly for me. I started doing this training program when I was like 12-13 and the women would make me exercise my mouth and tongue to make it so I swallowed properly and had my tongue on the roof of my mouth at all times. I had a narrow jaw with overlapping teeth because of my facial poster. I now have a pretty nice jawline and my teeth haven't moved back after braces (never wear retainer). I will post a side by side of my young jaw and old jaw.

It might be, but I don't believe in any of that shit. It's all just your total calories compared to your TDEE. If over the week you eat less than your TDEE, you drop weight. I'm sure there are some tricks or something, I mean people do low carb to put their bodies in ketosis or whatever, but end of the day doesn't matter when you eat - it just matters how much. I think it is still better to spread meals out to at least give yourself some energy when you need it.

I remember the honeymoon on that drug. It works great for a while, but after some time at night I'd get really beat up, and morning when I'd take it it took a bit too kick in and I'd feel like ass until it did. Hey guys fat piggu here. I've lost 40 pound so far and still have like 20 to go (5'4" 180->120). anyway i was at around 68 kg in august, and by just cutting my meals to 1 per day i'm at ~63 now
when things get rough and i gain extra weight, i take around 48 hours with no food and a lot of water, works wonders
