Just got into uni, which means naturally I'm most likely going to be moving into a double around 8 months from today. Now it may be a little early to start thinking about potential furnishings and accessories, but I'm the sorta guy to start planning things early rather than last minute. Any furniture, inspo, bedding or other dorm-friendly things would be very appreciated

Don't try too hard and keep everything neat and organized. It depends on what kind of person you are, but I would recommend getting a single room if you can. Personally, I have no decorations. If you have enough room, it's (imo) way more comfy to have a bed that isn't lofted.
Get a rack for hanging your clothes on.

Try not to let your roomie see the spaghetti in your pockets. Just do you, it's a fucking dorm. Don't ask other people to decorate things in accordance with your taste.

Wasn't exactly asking you to decorate my future dorm, but rather looking for nice bookshelves, chairs and the like. Also recommendations for nice winter wardrobe would be pretty stellar too
