This is unfortunately accurate, but not just for /fa/.

Way too many of my 20something friends assume that they'll magically grow up at some unspecified point in the future and suddenly get motivation, a wife, and a happy life. Isn't gonna happen. 99.9% sure my buddy is still going to be living in his childhood bedroom even when his parents are on their deathbed.
