What does /fa/ think of the new Gosha Rubchinskiy 2016 Fall/Winter

the aesthetic is mallcore raver in suburbia 1999. was horrible then and horrible now.

Giant 90s influence, not really a good thing I'd say but then again a lot of the other designers were opting for more free flowing shit as well. His just feels more 90s because of the denim and oversized hoodies/leather jackets. Still digging the fuck out of his spring 2016 line though.

I saw Lotta. She pretty much made sure the show was running as it should, taking care of styling, communicating Goshas thoughts to the non Russian speaking staff etc. She is very fun and energetic and has a great eye for aesthetics.

I was casted via ig. Got a dm from a person at commé asking if i would be interested. I obviously said yes.

Meeting Gosha was a cool experience, I wasn't sure how I would react (I'm a fanboy and was afraid of freezing up due to star struckness) but he was very easy to talk to and very polite to everyone. I think he was a sweetheart and I'd love to work with him again.

This was my first time modelling so I can't compare it to much. Most of the models were obviously big fans so the energy before during and after the show was really exciting in my opinion. I personally loved the new look and am very excited to see what future collections might be like.

Honestly? The Reeboks were SICK. But the duffel coats were probably my favorite of the clothing. I also loved the prints with the kind of Lonsdale esque lettering, looked very hardcore.

And if you weren't aware, the various 'chavcore's of different countries are all having revivals right now, right in line with the grime revival. The roadman look, palace, air max 95s, burberry print coming back, bape coming back, Travis' trashy southern vibes and metal t shirts are some other examples

Gosha liked this pic of me and I believe he was interested in me due to my overall look, of which my hairstyle (or lack of one) is a big part. I got shaved for the show as I had about 2cm hair on arrival.

I usually try to dress in a fun way, but most of my fits lean towards "lad casual" (lol), some sportswear, some basics, some funnier statement pieces like bum bags, loud graphics or fake burberry check if I'm feeling adventurous. I might be overselling it a bit but you can check my instagram if you want to get a better idea.

I like the outerwear and sneaker collaborations a lot. Of the outerwear my fav would probably be the patchwork fake fur jacket from a few seasons back, and the Reeboks from this season are probably my favorite sneaker. The graphic knits from this season were also very nice. I don't own any Gosha because I can't justify the price as a university student. If I however somehow magically fell in to hella money I'd probably wear obnoxious amounts of Gosha tho hahahaha.

I got paid enough to cover my flights and hotel. I unfortunately didn't get to keep any of the clothes. Managed to snag a pair of off brand black athletic socks I wore in the show tho hahahaha. I'm still happy as I've never been to Paris before and in all honesty I probably would have done it for free as I've always wanted to get a "behind the scenes look" at fashion week.
