No poo is not bs but it's also not for everyone. Try salty water as well, it makes you're hair feel thicker and more malleable.

I use hanz de fuko quicksand. it sucks the moisture out of hair, the downside is that it leaves your hair with a gritty texture (so if you have curly hair, avoid using this product)
