>>10849296 I see them pretty often, but mens still dominante. Ask yourslef, why there is no to so many good dressed girls, most of them looking like shit? Plus, this >>10849285 one is right, lmao, this is shithole, nobody here NEVER EVER talks about fashion.
>>10849344 In my experience I have seen more girls post in here over the years than I've seen them in SuFu, KTT, or Caretags.
/fa/ waywt is mostly for the bery insecure ppl that kinda know they're fit is trash but still want the brutally honest criticism. also belive it or not we're probably the most active fashion related forum behind refdit, even if this place purely memes.
>>10849389 There is no real fashion discussion, lmao. >>10849381 Lol, tons of shitposting and IS MAH CIGGARETTE EFFAY releated shitty threads doesnt mean there is any fashion releated activity. There is not. Some fashion releated threads, what are trying to exist just going down to 7-8 page in a few minets this 5-6 posts. Rick thread is full of kids and stupid douches who dont know wtf are they talking about. Man, this place always was garbage, pure shit and it exist only for posting jokes about kanye, memes and EFFFAY.
i've yet to see american women actually care about fashion a lot of girls claim an interest in it, but maintain a wardrobe full of shit bought at zara, h&m and topshop or w/e fast fashion chain is hot at the moment. the only girls i've ever seen with cool pieces and fits are usually korean, chinese, jap, etc. but even then i can't tell if they are genuinely interested in fashion or just trying to emulate their favorite k-pop stars through their disposable income lol
Girls don't care about fashion. They're all wearing camel coats and high heal chelsea boots with light wash jeans. Like that's what they wear in England. The ones that care about fashion just care about brands
My gf posts here since I introduced it to her, but she just frogposts and pretends to be a fat robot. She's basically a troll.
This isn't really much of a fashion board because the tastes are very specific and budgets tend to be extremely low. So you get this limited scope that isn't very encompassing. It's also pretty immature fashion.
>>10849758 Met her at a new years eve party a few years back, kind of random really. I certainly didn't show her 4chan for a long time, but, I like to shitpost in bed so eventually she just saw me posting on my laptop and was curious.
My gf before this one thought 4chan was disgusting though. She left me because of my tiny penis though not 4chan.
>>10850065 1) High Fashion isn't the only type of fashion 2) very few 'basic bitches' wear Samuji or OK nowadays 3) You sound like a sad gimp who's never even sat close to a woman and thinks buying expensive drapey tents = being fashionable
Women care more about fitting in rather than fashion and they will utilize clothing to do it.
Most women are aware that the uggs, north face and leggings look is bad but every girl does it around them so they do it.
Same deal with the ombre hair or the neon hair trend.
They know micheal kors watches suck but it's a must have.
So the idea of finding niche designers and/or up and coming brands who put quality on their forefront rather than relying on brand recognition/resting on their laurels of the celebrity creative directors
>>10850119 I'd normally tell you to grow a dick and suck it but this is actually kinda true and really annoying, though I've only ever seen it in Americans. >oh my god I can't believe x is trending, I don't look good in x >everything that's current is a MUST-HAVE (jeggings, balayage, Arizonas and that Longchamp bag) >I hate flares, they look bad on everyone! >(2 months later) I love flares, they look good on everyone!
>>10850105 Plenty of basic bitches wear Gap, Penneys, and random <whatever> brands also. It seems like you would fit in with more than half of those on this board who can't afford designer clothing on the regular while ridiculing the ones who can.
>>10850155 I'm not ridiculing your owning designer clothing, I'm ridiculing your autistic echochamber where everyone who has a different taste than yours and dresses in brands mentioned above is automatically basic and a pleb, case in point.
Get it in your thick head that brands and price mean very little if you know how to style them, and if you buy all designer just to feel better about yourself and placate your sense of insecurity than you're a bigger eejit than the most basic of bitches.
But seeing as I'm on /fa/ I don't think I'm gonna convince you to change your mind since you'll just keep strawmanning and calling me basic because I'm not stupid enough to buy 4000 quid basic white tees, so whatever.
>>10850169 I'm not sure what you're referring to but the designer clothes I've purchased have generally been better in terms of fit, fabric and overall quality.
>>10850196 You've got style. Okay, that's appreciable. But those boots look like they're made of plastic and I'm having trouble taking that faux leather seriously. You sure you aren't shopping the same place as other basic bitches?
>>10850292 Point being you blend in with basic bitches because you shop the same stores where inexpensive plastic boots and faux leather is sold. I'm having trouble discerning you from them regardless of personal style.
>>10850321 Can you read? I don't dress like the girl in pic. You don't know what I look like. That's like saying 'you must be vegan because you have salad in your shopping basket'.
I sincerely hope that at least your mammy and daddy have style because you clearly haven't got any of your own.
And had you bothered to look up any of the 'whatever' brands I mentioned you'd see that Ferragamo shoes cost a pretty penny and are Italian leather, since you seem to judge quality by price alone. Please stop embarrassing yourself.
>>10850355 You mentioned several inexpensive and mall-tier brands, so I can only assume you dress like the basic bitches who wear clothes from those same places because what else do you dress in? I wouldn't imagine much designer when the names you mentioned are so few in number that they seem likely to be birthday gifts from Dad.
>>10850644 all the guys at my uni that isn't wearing cargo shorts and socks with nike slides follow terrible trends off instagram and thinks their a fashion god because they own stan smiths, distressed black denim and earth toned sweaters.
Why would a girl choose fa over cgl. I'd be all over lolita style if I were a girl, the're this pretty dresses, massive skirts and qt accessories, stuff is amazing. Plus it's not nearly as expensive as fa approved attire and you get to work with your own hands sometimes.
>>10851489 this desu. I'm into both but I find lolita more rewarding than high fashion cause it's more open to creativity and weird shit. I wear high fashion day to day cause it fits with my job but I feel cuter in my frills
One of the problems I see a lot on /fa/ is that the approach to men's fashion seems to focus on current it brands and the micro trends within those (like the Rick goth ninja hype that was impossible to escape) whereas women's fashion takes more of a trend trickle down approach, so they'll take the 70s look that was big in the autumn or that luxe geek look Gucci were doing and find the pieces at a fraction of a price in fast fashion stores, where the aim is a nod to the prevailing trends rather than to the hot brand. Which is an approach that isn't appreciated here which is why so much of /fa/ is scoffing over women and their basic bitch Zara shit
>>10852761 But the knock off glasses are cool for an Instagram selfie and never worn again. /fa/ historically took the direction of the Antwerp 6 and Japanese ethos being averse to the throw away society of the greater society in Europe and America
Cgl and women overall take the concept of throw away society and turbocharged it with trendy goods from southeast Asia and China
>>10852805 You're saying that as if I said something to contradict it. A trend doesn't have to be 3 months, and I could have used a better term than micro trend, but I couldn't think of the correct way to phrase it. Although you do have to admit peak Rick on here was about 2 years ago and it's kept more to specific threads now.
>>10852791 Alright alright. I know you hate women but I wasn't positioning either as the better attitude, just a large difference in attitude that causes the problems on here.
>>10850513 >>10850537 NorCal ain't shit /fa/m, they're nothing but old money and trees up there. I don't consider SF part of NC, since they're too lively. Anyways, back on the topic of Asians and their fits, SoCal tends to try more but I still see them falling back on the safety leggings and oversized outerwear of choice too often -- then again it's at least proven to be comfortable so they can't be blamed for it. bags are whatever works best down here, never see them touting some brand name bullshit unless they're getting it as a gift, and after a couple instagram pics it's never to be seen again since they probably don't wanna use it. clothes are whatever works best/makes them attractive(r, if they're already decent to begin with), with the occasional experimental person or weeb here and there. I see lots of girls dressed relatively well when they're not being lazy in comfortable clothing, and most the time a lot of them shop for basics at those mall-tier places still.
