Last one went well, I thought we'd try it again. Post inspo, post products, ask questions, answer questions, etc.
current, its about 9 inches but the shrinkage is real. looking for some new styles, kinda wanna braid it
Isaiah Rashad's hair in his new music video is SO fucking GOAT.
This nigga is straight up my hair inspiration. Absolutely god-tier.
another person, but I'm thinking of getting braids or dreads.
im scared that braids will look ugly as fuck though. braids area really hit or miss. while dreads almost never look bad(assuming well kept)
Brought up Joey cause I like how he styles it (like in this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nubbr3h24vQ). [Embed] Dreads are a lot of work, and I'm pretty lazy when it comes to hair care
Opening the /black/ skype group up once again. 35+ people in there currently and its usually pretty active everyday.
Talk about hair, clothes, music, or just shoot the shit and chill.
Add me @ death.rattle_ and send me a PM if you would like to be added to the group.
You will have to send a timestamped picture or a fit pic to be added to the group.
>botnet group for an anonymous imageboard
>do you have to be black
>Why can only black people join?
>Can I join if I'm white? All the other skype groups are full of faggots.
^this basically. in the past trolls/racists have tried to raid the chat, fuck shit up, and destroy it for no reason so now each person is screened before joining.
So I've been growing my hair out on the top for a bit as I want to get high top dreads, and this is pretty much the first time I've ever grown my hair out in my life. I've always had short buzzcuts that I would get cut every few weeks or so. So I'm pretty new to this shit.
Whenever I run my hand through my hair and shit, I always end up with hair falling off into my hands. Like nothing that makes a noticeable visual difference. Just little curls and strands. When I wash my hair it happens a lot too. Again, nothing that makes me look like I'm losing hair, but when I run my hand through my hair while I'm washing it, there'll be a ton of little strands and curls in my hands.
Is this a bad thing or does this shit happen to everyone? Like I said I've never grown my hair out before so this is never something I've really been able to properly notice.
They just started stocking that Shea Moisture shit here in the UK. I always hear the Americans raving about how good this shit is for black people.
So is it worth making the switch? And if so, which kind is best?
They sell the Raw Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner (with the brown label) and the Curl and Shine shampoo and conditioner (with the pink label). There's a couple other products by them as well but those are the main ones.
So is it worth it? Are they as good as people say they are?
Off topic, but can you fucking chimps stop stinking up 7-11. Smells like a zoo in there and I'm positive it's because of all the ugly bur-headed fucking niggers that crawl in from the ghetto shithole they came from>>10850024
getting this cut tomorrow. so basically, after i get it cut, i put in some gel all over my hair and rub the sponge all over? i quickly watched a video on yt so im not sure.
I get good results using Shea Moisture coconut & Hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie and curl & style milk. It doesn't make my hair stiff like most conditioners. Highly recommend it
you should have a leave-in conditioner or oil along with the gel, but yeah. go slow with the sponge, and make sure you only go one direction with it. I do counter-clockwise, but whatever works for you.
Simply start braiding.
Braids are actually a protective hairstyle that will prevent breakage. Your hair will grow faster. Just undo then every one or two weeks, comb hair, apply moisterizers/leave-in conditioners and redo them.
Any ideas how to wear my hair or how to style it never had it this long
don't know about that, sorry
1. clean hair, to get leftover hair strands out from the cut. don't feel a need to change up your routine, but I do a quick acv/baking soda rinse, followed by co-washing (washing with conditioner instead of shampoo)
2. lightly dry hair. you'll want to pat dry, and leave some moisture. the towel has the potential to be too rough. Either way, you dont want your hair soaking wet.
3. apply leave-in conditioner to hair, followed by gel. make sure you don't miss a spot.
4. gently take your curl sponge and rub it on hair in a circular motion until hair is sufficiently twisted.
here's a video, if that helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pqo8w4naoDo
Pretty much same story as this nigga, but I'm trying to get braids.
I've been growing my hair out for a year... I literally haven't touched it. It's just a mess of like, natural dreadlocks? It's fucking weird. Really tight natural curls.
I don't know what to do with it. Like, what oils/moisturizer should I be using and shit? I want to start picking it out, but I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.
those are neither braids or dreads they're two strand twists.
