So is hedi seriously going to leave SLP? Why?
His stuff sells incredibly well any everyone demands more.
I don't get it but hopefully i'll be able to get some hedi made chelsea boots before he leaves
What's your opinion on the rumour?
he knows he'll slip if he keeps putting out the same shit over and over, he's reached his limit with SLP
hopefully cuck vacarello isn't the new CD though, the guy looks like he shops at zara
>he keeps putting out the same shit over and over,
wtf do you plebs mean by this? every collection is different yet you fags keep saying he always does the same thing. rick does the same thing over and over too so does yohji or any other fucking designer who has established an aesthetic he likes
>looks like he shops at zare
A fit post it. Always post some of your fits if you're gonna talk shit. ALWAYS.
I want to know what are you basing that shit talking on.
Hedi is good enough for me, I love the rocker super skinny style Hedi goes for, no one goes as skinny as Hedi. I like the androgynous silhouettes of SLP and more things unique to that brand.
You should add "In my opinion" at the end of your shit talkin if you ain't going to post fit tbqh /fa/m. To each his own I guess, the brand is probably "too gay" for you or "too normie" although male normies dislike skinny frames with a passion.
Nooooooooooo! Without Hedi I will never look gay and cool at the same time!
It's more androgynous for men than for women I'll give you that... But I like SLP 4 females as well. I like dresses that make them look like they were raped.
>dresses that make them look like they were raped
funny, I think he makes them look very strong but cute. The dresses are sparkly and flimsy, but it's still too chic to be rapey
>because he always dresses the women like groupies that want to fuck the guys he's dressing
I get the sense you're either not getting the vibe or completely talking out of your ass here. those guys don't look overly sexy to me (no offense tim), but very boyish, awkward and androgynous.
>but very boyish, awkward and androgynous.
and this is exactly why I like Hedi. His story on why his silhouettes are like that is because he was bothered a lot during his youth that he had to look "manly" and all that shit we dudes have got from other sexually insecure dudes. Then he found out about Rock music and there all the skinny band dudes dressed however they pleased and had a ton of style, this became Hedi's major source of inspiration. David Bowie (May he rest in peace) for example.
always ignored the rick and raf threads but is this how it goes? no real discussion and angry trolls shitting on the aesthetic?
>Hedi is a gay 50 year old man
what's your point exactly?
>Alex Turner is SLP fanboy number 1
>SLP sales figures skyrocketing after Hedi took over again
pls just go
funny that everyone was making fun of them back WHEN RAF DID IT FIRST (as always, because Hedi is a hack :^) )
Paul Smith does so too, he thrifts himself. Lagerfeld accessories are pretty much straight from the archives, in "Dior and I" you see Raf's assistants doing pretty much all the hands-on work. In McQueen's later years, Sarah Burton did so too.
I'm sure you don't know shit about what it means to be a creative director.
If you're already resorting to greentexting, I guess you're out of arguments. If you want to spend hundreds of dollars one pieces that you can find literally everywhere, no one is stopping you and I don't have a problem with that. Just please don't pretend that Hedi Slimane is a good fashion designer. He's good at marketing.
you don't get my argument. You just can't find the cut, quality and colors similar to this. Trust me, as a thrifting poorfag I know.
Everything has been done before, the creativity also lies in finding a new context, combination and (in this case, a very slim) silhouette.
And yes also giving the people what they want, Hedi is spot on with this.
if you honestly can't find a slim fitting black biker jacket, you must be fucking retarded. There is nothing new about that silhouette in any way. He was the one who made super skinny popular again over 10 years ago (riding on Raf's coattails of course) and it's been present in fashion ever since. You could find this stuff everywhere. Even before SLP.
And there is no new context to this. His collections get more literal every season. He sent down blond courtney love lookalikes wearing crowns last season and uses courtney love as a model for the campaign. it can't get more literal than this. He's riding on some kind of nostalgia every season. be it the 60, 70, 80 or 90s. It's like netflix reviving full house.
quick reminder of what menswear looked like before he took over Dior Homme. Raf and Hedi have a completely different aesthetic, I don't even get the comparison between both dinosaur sweaters, they speak to a completely different audience.
>He's riding on some kind of nostalgia every season
if you're born in the 90s, you tend to forget that "heroin chic" has been gone for quite a while. he's not reinventing the wheel but that's not the point. i'm repeating myself.
>employed twenty-something with girlfriend/boyfriend that uses his own income to finance his passion for minimalist designer fashion with great quality
>16-old trust fund baby that wants to look like sky ferrari's boyfriend xD
this picture is obviously pretty old.
i always thought he looked very interesting in a weird way. his eyes are always bulging
HOLY SHIT DIS-FUCKIN-GUSTING. DADCORE HIGH FASHION! HEDI KILLED DADCORE IN THE NORMIE SCENE! Hedi is a true hero. I can believe there is 1 hater anon ITT. Hedi is a based gay man.
no offense taken lol
i'm afraid i don't have much information for anybody, they literally aren't telling anybody anything. i'm booked for the showroom, so i can still give you an early look of the new collection though. don't know when that'll be though
Pierre Berge actually offered Hedi to make his own brand, he denied the offer though, i guess he doesnt like the idea of his own brand
>tfw his best work is behind him
literally one of his best collections ever
don't know, don't know if i'll even be in the show. i think they want me but it's getting a work visa on such short notice. Hedi always leaves my hair however i have it, so in the show i'm pretty certain that if i'm in it, my hair will look like it does there, don't know what the uniform is for everyone else though
dating a guy that looks like this. big eyes, dark circles, big nose, awkward body language and i'm done.
>tfw too fat to ever be hedi's lover
