>>
>>10839896
Don't care.
Punks need to take a break from the silly fashion show, and please shower before attending a show.
I work to buy my ticket, not ask mom and stepdad to order with their money then give me a ride to the show, but park a couple blocks away so the other guys don't see.
Put a couple patches on your jacket? Cool man. Rep those bands.
Piercings and shit in your face? Whatever, but be careful in a fight.
Colored hair, studs, and spikes? Why the fuck do you want to glow in the dark if you have to run from cops/aggressors?

I've met a lot of great people through punk rock music, but the fashion and attitude that punks have towards each other is fucking silly.

Punk as a genre is good, but as a subculture it's complete shit. I don't see what's "rebellious" or "individual" about a lot of teenagers dressing the same and enforcing strict codes of behavior, lest you be a "poser". Also, music as a form of political protest is not very effective.

just buy some medium or low quality pants in a color/style you like. where them to shit, and patch them a lot. ive got a pair of pants ive only had for a few years, dont wear them too hard (maybe twice a week average, often more, rarely less) and they are wearing out in the crotch, i had to darn them, did a shit job, and now im gonna have to darn over the darn when it starts to wear out.
instead of darning, just grab some cloth that contrasts with whatever the pants are made out of, sew it to the inside, and cut off the excess. or the outside, cause its punk.
>>
>>10841936
Not punk. Not even close.
>>
>>10847760
I would honestly recommend getting levis jeans or any jeans that doesn't have stretch fabric.
I use dickies and carhartt, scrap denim and leather for pathces on my pants.
The crotch always goes out first.
Dont be afraid of multi layers.
I also use high tension thread.
When the weathet allows it i try to wear mine about every other day.
Mine will be 2yrs soon, almost all patched except the lower shins.
I learned how to embroider recently, i dont like using a machine, but i do like the way danrning looks
>>
this is my vest! It's gone though a fucking LOT so far, it's 4 years old and has ended up pretty much grey, even though it was a blue denim vest. I think blue denim is ugly honestly, but the grey color it gets after a while looks great!

>>10848555
It starts at the crotch and encompasses the entire pants eventually. The wear and repair does alter the original fit
>>
>>10848555
The crotch is just the area that goes first because it has the most wear, for me it usually goes; ass, crotch, knees, behind knees, thighs. In that order. And then after a few more years you'll have finished crust pants!
>>
>>10848560
Ive been thinkin about alternative techniques for my pants. Ive heard of rubbing or smearing paints, glues, coal, dust and food stuffs into them for stiff sheen
>>
>>10848581
let your shit get dirty naturally, it's way cooler to see them develop that way, also if you just smear a pair of regular pants with shit the patches you put on are gonna look super awkward unless you smear shit on them too. The only really good reason why you'd put shit on them on purpose would be attempted water-proofing (which doesn't work that well) but you can do it by waxing them, painting them, or rubbing them with motor oil.

>>10848640
>establishment
right because segregation wasn't legal less than 60 years ago in the united states, and the enslavement of black people DEFFINETLY wasn't legal less than 250 years ago.

Racism has been an intrinsic part of power-hungry white american society, from the theft of land from native americans, to economic domination of central and south america, the united states is nothing but establishment, and a deep seeded part of that establishment attitude and society is racism.

Stop trying to troll with ur mediocre discourse and go back to /pol/

>>10848654

>>
>>10848675
The state used to enforce racism, shitlord.
>>
>>10848675
segregation was ended in 1954, it's 2016, 1954 - 2016 = 62 years
so, not less than 60 years, but almost exactly 60 years ago.

It's the other way around, racism is a means to forward state power. You're totally switched around and you have no idea what you're talking about. I just provided evidence of the state enforcing white supremacy for economic and social gain. Can you show egalitarian work working towards the benefit of the state or capitalism? Because i definitely can't, even AN-CAPS and fascists call anti-racist behavior "degenerate" because it attempts to remove existing hierarchies, which in turn messes with capitalist economics.
>>
>>10848675
guy, you should accept that both right wing and left wing alternative politics are anti-establishment. this is sadly just as hard to grasp for most of us lefties (just imagine, for most of us YOU are the one being pro-establishment). thing is, both ideologies hold good values and these can be integrated, all this petty fighting and namecalling between the revolutionary groups only works to the advantage of the opressor (establishment).

it is true that "preventing racism" has been used to extend state power but so has "fighting terrorists" and everything else. the establishment holds no values, it just takes what is present in the population to further its influence.

whenever a white country tries to assert its independence and ethnic identity every effort is made to shut it down (see: what's happening to Poland and Hungary right now)
>>
>>10848715
You're right that welfare benefits capitalism because it buys out an oppressed group of people and tries to bring them into 1st world imperialist power.
Otherwise immigration CAN be detrimental to capitalism because it causes an influx of ideas that compete with common conceptions. Suffrage was irrelevant, really, giving more people access to a system which doesn't have the ability to change itself, and i guess i could see it doing the same thing as welfare and other public goods

Btw i'd love to be blown away by all of the mounds of right wing-propaganda blogs you'd try to use as evidence for the claim that there's a RACIAL genetic component to intelligence.
>>
>>10848734
lel, I tried. you're kind of a shortsighted thinker I guess. if you are fighting for a country you are fighting for the establishmnt. the left fights against the idead of countries and therefore seeks to demolish all establishments. imagine the outcome of that:would there be a problem with immigrants? no! because why the hell would they come here!

No I haven't, but doing the tiniest amount of research on the book i found that it really only addresses the issue of perceived intelligence UNDER CAPITALISM. Also even the authors stated that the differences in MEASURED intelligence between races is impacted by environment.

Btw the reason you would need to link blogs is because the studies don't even come CLOSE to supporting your claims, so you need to put them through about 14 racist lenses before you get the information you're talking about.
>>

>>
>>10848772
yes you do need to link shit
friendly reminder that The Bell Curve has never been refuted
>>
>>10848771
I'm implying that under a different social and economic system people would function differently and their intelligence would be measured differently? Because people respond to their environments! learn some sociology bruh
>>
>>10848782
how would intelligence be measured in your egalitarian utopia
if that's too hard give me a single measure of intelligence that would suggest that people are equal
>>
>>10848793
If you're going to use conventional measurements of intelligence you are going to end up with biases because the system of measurement is biased. Not only that but environment clearly influences many of the outcomes of experiments like this, if those influences aren't controlled for.

Another issue with these tests is wether or not race or intelligence can even be clearly defined and tested for.

I'm not telling you i can show imperial data one way or the other, what i'm telling you is the data you're using to reach your conclusion is both flawed and biased.

You dont seem to understand that the punk ethos is very much tied in with the expressionist movement of the 60's and 70's. You seem to be implying this is a negative yet to me its one of the most important modern approaches to creating music. Who the fuck cares if he digs Charles Manson? That was never the point.

Again, using visceral imagery to incite a strong reaction was pioneered by early hardcore/punk groups.

I thought that's what was considered fashionable??? Are you telling me I have to change my whoooole facial structure AGAIN? D:

>punx

agreed that visceral images are important to punk, but what's more important is how that imagery is used. It's obvious it's being used in a silly and unimportant way here, and I would argue was also used in this way by a lot of the "pioneers" of punk

Seriously, fucking bullshit street "punk" culture seeping out into other areas of punk. Street punk needs to be destroyed.
>>

What the fuck is street punk?
>>
>>10849029
Who the fuck cares about punk anymore? A subculture created in its time to challenge the social and political problems of its time. Fuck outta here with this fashion shit called "punk". I'm
tired of the same shit every few years some aimless fucking trash bands being the revival of punk. Just a bunch of trash aimless shit.

Punk is dad rock now, bunch of fucking pretentious 80s and 90s born faggots who aping something which it seems they dont get the point.

Get out of here with that shit
