just buy some medium or low quality pants in a color/style you like. where them to shit, and patch them a lot. ive got a pair of pants ive only had for a few years, dont wear them too hard (maybe twice a week average, often more, rarely less) and they are wearing out in the crotch, i had to darn them, did a shit job, and now im gonna have to darn over the darn when it starts to wear out.

I would honestly recommend getting levis jeans or any jeans that doesn't have stretch fabric.
I use dickies and carhartt, scrap denim and leather for pathces on my pants.
The crotch always goes out first.
Dont be afraid of multi layers.
I also use high tension thread.
When the weathet allows it i try to wear mine about every other day.
Mine will be 2yrs soon, almost all patched except the lower shins.
I learned how to embroider recently, i dont like using a machine, but i do like the way danrning looks

this is my vest! It's gone though a fucking LOT so far, it's 4 years old and has ended up pretty much grey, even though it was a blue denim vest. I think blue denim is ugly honestly, but the grey color it gets after a while looks great!

let your shit get dirty naturally, it's way cooler to see them develop that way, also if you just smear a pair of regular pants with shit the patches you put on are gonna look super awkward unless you smear shit on them too. The only really good reason why you'd put shit on them on purpose would be attempted water-proofing (which doesn't work that well) but you can do it by waxing them, painting them, or rubbing them with motor oil.
