Really want this style of beard. Have a decent base to start off with, but not sure how I should approach it. Has he faded it at the sides? Trim slightly shorter until the edge of the chin area? Halp pls

just looks like a natural growth, some people just don't grow it thick around the cheeks, but yeah you could do a slight buzz on the sides for a similar effect

OP is this the longest you've grown your beard?
If so then I'd say you can either give up and shave it or you can wait to see if the connectors grow in.

I also have problems with growing my beard and getting the connectors, mine take forever to grow in if I shave my beard, usually only slightly growing in after two-three months and I have yet to have them fully grow in before I end up shaving.

You might have a similar issue and if so the only way to fix it is time and alot of love, also avoid shaving and use clippers if you do want to reset and try regrowing it. It'll take less time and you'll have a better chance of finding out if you'll ever be able to grow a true beard.

I've had it bigger, its genetics my dad in my age had even less, I have a very weak moustache, it looks like its trimmed but it isnt, las time I cut the beard was like two months ago, its been like a year and a half on the moustache lol

If you want to keep the beard, tell your barber to trim it short, to about a 3 or 4, but to leave a little more length at the front of the chin and leave the moustache and connectors alone entirely. Might make it appear a little more... balanced.

I have a trimmer at home. Thats what i usually do. Just been lazy/ on break from class so have been enjoying the unkept look

I only did it there until i bought the device, yes, there's a big difference but cant really afford to go there just for a trim, but when I go for a haircut i also do a trim normally
