How do you /fa/gs feel about the fact that no matter how much money you spend, no matter how much you lurk and research fashion, you will never look better than a fit guy wearing pretty much anything.
When you wear a t shirt and stand next to pic related or similar, do you really thing people will notice the insignificant details on your expensive shirt dawned over your boney body?
the idea is not to try hard
good looking people can wear terrible things and it looks great on them.
They'll completely defy /fa/'s wiki of Donts and be considered trendsetters
Having an aesthetically pleasing face matters more than the clothes you wear, and affects what you wear more than any designer label or shop.
While this may be true, a fit person who is also very fashionable is the apex of appearances. It's not a matter of choosing between being /fit/ and being /fa/, but rather which one you prefer and think more about.
>linking an image on an image board
The point with fashion is not "to look better" in a vitalist sence. Ofcourse being fit makes you seem attractive and able but fashion, like art, sees that as easy and is about a much more complex way of expression. Only teenagers and plebs think fashion is about looking fit and healthy. How about dekadence? sickness? deviation? curiosity?
Pic related. Why is that painting much more interesting that a picture of a majestic prime-example sheep?
Personally I would rather be with a interesting and lovely 6/10 that dresses slightly alternative than a 9/10 hardbody with fucking yoga pants and sneakers.
I think your way is a terribly american way of thinking. Utalitarianism. You just want fashion to express your fitness in order to be the most complete version of yourself with as much pussy as possible. However; Who dictates your need to be seen as fit? Why is it that drug-core is somewhat interesting?
Think about it.
but that was a cartoon. and a poor representation of reality at that, because generally it's the girl that acts like JB. and it's girls that are attracted to that kinda shit. a woman will take a dumb man with big muscles that she can control over just about anything
I'm better looking that you'll ever be. Silly little bitch.
>you will never look better than a fit guy wearing pretty much anything.
It's the other way around. Overly muscular people can wear a much more limited wardrobe. Was overly muscular myself, so I know.
I'm more built than that guy, and wouldn't wear such a faggy tight t-shirt. Dude must have a tiny dick and be insecure, heh
only fags like this shit dude
chicks like money first, face second, body is last. hate to break it to you. no matter how many faggy squats you do, no decent looking chick is going to be into you unless you present some wealth bud
You kids don't seem to get laid a lot. I used to get laid a lot, and I didn't make me a happier person. It changes nothing in your life. Instead be who you truly want to be. If you try to achieve the goals other people set for you, you can only become a slave.
So whats your thoughts on combining the two? Being the best version of oneself. I have been working out way longer than i have been into fashioin, and i really find it hard to combine and im too ambivalent too choose one. Having a wider build (lats and shoulders) really makes it impossible to pull off effay fits.
I've weight lifted for nearly 7 years now and can confirm that pussy doesn't magically appear once you begin to look fit.
>So whats your thoughts on combining the two?
Combine lots of things, not just fitness and fashion. If you truly want to attract the gender of your choice, being fit and well-dressed is nice but not everything. Be smart, fun, ambitious, sociable, etc.
I agree with a lot of what you are saying, but wanting to become the best version of yourself is a very human desire. I can only speak for myself, but I'm very insecure. Being somewhat fit and dressing good ensures me that I fit in as a desireable being in a group and that others find me attractive. I am yet to shed the pain and fear that makes me feel the need for these things, but I can tell even now that looking great won't be as much of a focus if I do.
Accepting that you are vain and that you crave others to like and accept you is healthy, and denying that you want a connection with other human beings as well as being desired by the other sex will only make you spiteful and judging of the people who do accept that part of themselves.
I feel kinda like I'm getting fit for the wrong reasons, but that it can't hurt. I eat, sleep and feel a lot better when I incorporate lifting into my daily routine. It gives me a sense of integrity and proves to myself that I am able to be a determined person who does the things he has set out to do.
nahh thats about ideal
apart from the manlet thing
I am not some unemployed slob, sorry. The funny thing is that you dont understand what being fit is. People who go to the gym everyday arent fit. The guy in the OPs picture isnt fit. Your goal isnt to be fit. Hell, most of you people couldnt even run 40 minutes at 4 minutes a kilometer. You people arent fit and lack basic understanding of aesthetics. So please, can you start to use the proper term? Because if theres one thing you sure as hell arent then its being fit. Thats not just the name of a 4chan board, you know? Its an actual word.
>reminder that this is goat physique for fit and fa crossover aesthetic
there's a reason why david is the idealized body guys cmon
im a fat fuck and i can run 30 minutes on 7.5, i do that like 2 times a week too. Saying you dotn have time isnt an excuse, exercise is an hour or less. Most gyms are open 24/7 and you can go there whenever you want. There no excuses to not be fit
Not impressive in the slightest. Why did you post your shitty physic again?
though I agree with you in that fashion is art, I think you're choosing the worst possible medium to convey those kind of messages.
As an artist I can appreciate all types of paintings and sculptures but I know how people will think if I decide to suddenly express weird stuff through my own image. It's pretty dumb what you're doing, like I said you should use another medium for that, since you're not a fuckin painting/sculpture, you're human being where there are more strict rules about aesthetics and what they convey:
for example you see a fat bald dude dressed weird and you think that's a fuckin pedo unemployed slob and I don't want to have anything to do with him, I can guarantee you no one is going to think "oh look what a piece of art"(or maybe they will, but not in the good sense)
Skinny people look way more aesthetic in clothes, that's just a fact
anything more muscular than a male model and you just look like a bouncer or a jersey shore castmember no matter what you wear
This is untrue. Even hipster bitches fantasize about getting the shit fucked out of them by the hot quarterback looking guy. And in my experience, will end up grinding against his pelvis over the guy wearing oversized shoes and tapered capri pants.
Be a mix of both. I can wear the tapered capris and gayboy shoes but I leave nods to my masculinity. And some days I dress straight up like a slovenly fuckmachine
Eat my ass, loser.
Trust me, I used to believe it too. No way that cute/intelligent/soft spoken/clear frames wearing/art rock listening/film student/qt3.14 hipster girl likes the low maintenance, buffed out, rugged, vapid non-artist right?
Get a fucking life and you'll see things. I've seen enough of the "artsy chicks" letting these guys you hate grind on their pussies at the concerts to know better
Tfw effay and aesthetic (though not both in this picture).
Stay small skeletons.
You're not that big. This is me yesterday in pic related
me yesterday at the mall. friend caught me while I was farting
It's not lol. When's the last time you saw a girl share a picture of this fucking statue on her Facebook or instagram?
It's idealized by one gay, dead renaissance dude. Come into the 21st century lmao
1. You aren't "big."
2. Stop buying Smalls, you fucking idiot. Other sizes, like, Medium or Large exist.
3. Have you tried shopping and putting in more effort than just buying what other people tell you? Not hard to find clothes to fit you.
I'm currently at the point where I can't fit in skinny jeans anymore. They're the only jeans I've ever worn. I wear a 31 but have to size up to a 34 just to fit my legs. The fucking waist is way too big but my legs and ass hold up the pants themselves.
If you're "big", regular jeans are doing the same skinny. Also, if you're trying to tell me you've only worn lady pants you're both underaged and gay.
And you're a fucking idiot for thinking a 31" waist is "big" in the first place. I'm a tall and skinny dude, both rail thin, ottermode and muscular as fuck in my nearly 30 years. Skinniest I ever was was a 30" waist and I have NO bodyfat with all my swimming and running.
Long story short: you're gay, stop wearing gay shit, START SHOPPING. You'll find a pair of pants you like.
I used to be a skinny fat little twink-looking beta, but 3+ years of lifting (regularly, but never obsessively) has me looking very similar to the guy in OP's pic. I even wear black tees as a regular fit.
Anyone who thinks they won't be /fa/ anymore if they get in shape is horribly mistaken, being /fit/ has made everything I own fit better, hang in the right places, etc. Most noticeably my larger shoulders now let shirts sit properly, which in turn makes me look even more confident.
That guy is ottermode, btw. That's like Brad Pitt in Fight Club, not a protein-fueled meathead powerlifter body. That physique will always exist within the realm of fashion.
Spot on. Everyone who disagrees with you doesnt understand objectively analyzing fashion and how the person wearing it matters little if you actually care about the clothes and not just looking good
ITT: /fit/ is triggered because everybody's laughing at them irl and they have to find validation from a chinese forum and /fa/ is triggered because they're insecure and /fit/ calls them either fat or skinnyfat
Holy shit you people never stop. Get big if you want to (working out is a good idea regardless of your preferred body type, health wise.), stay slim if you want to. People will want to fuck you regardless, but here's the kicker - not everyone.
There's no one way to present yourself that'll make everyone want to fuck you. You're better off figuring out what you want to look like and striving towards that goal because the second you start getting comfortable in your skin people will notice.
Know what's NOT sexy, though? Having the emotional maturity of a goddamn child, so chill out and stop arguing about pointless shit on 4chan.
