I live in Florida, bug out would spell certain death.
This place isn't meant for human life.
The heat, the humidity, the inevitable disease from mosquitoes, and the dangerous wildlife (spiders, snakes, alligators, sharks).
I lived inns woods for 3 months so it would be easy
Swanndri bush shirt, 100% wool and warm as fuck
Milsurp wool trousers
Thick wool socks
Anglo Saxon turn shoes
With some gear like a bow, axe, knife, snares and stuff like that I could survive for 40 years after hard innawoods in bongland
Because I was kicked out my house by
My parents and decided living in swords would be cosy. I had a
Bit of rice and
Food but I mostly ate small game, nettles and bulrushes (cattails)
I like my ESEE 6 but many knives would do better. A dagger's only real purpose is stabbing. You should look for a knife with a flat spine, straight edge (no separations), 1095 carbon steel or similar, removable scales (so you can find some that fit your hand), and a full tang. Check out Mora I guess.
