it was already a meme in 2015, i'm predicting messy bowl cut for Meme of 2016
I don't think the man bun and undercut are completely played out yet. It just now seems to have become standard in the less urban cities. Hypothetically we should be able to see the new fads starting in more fashionable cities though. So what new cuts have people been seeing?
it looks fucking ridiculous but it does make sense
whenever someone talks about "played out" fashion hairstyles it makes me cringe. Its literally just a case of too much internet browsing. You need to just log off or close the app and walk away. You have looked at too man jpegs of a hair simple as that. its played out in your own mind because you spend hours literally hours and hours, looking at mens fashion on the internet or instagram.
and no matter how mad or whatever your opinion is on the whole thing, girls will ALWAYS find 'man bun' or 'undercut' to be "hott :)" true fact indisputable. girls are totally sensually driven, and just the sight of these "played out" haircut jpegs you have been browsing, IRL will turn them on.
and anyway, any hairstyle will do if youre hot.
Actually no , man-buns and under-cuts are played out.
This right here is classic , this will always be hot
Short dreadlocks. Thick at the base and sharper at the tips. Worn in the style of pic related. Worn by both sexes.
Screen cap this post. The biggest trend of 2016 will be the long unkempt Kylo Ren hair and the Jared Leto's Joker slick back undercut. Guys will see these movies AMD think about getting them. Then they'll hear girls talk about how hot Adam Driver and Jared Lego are and they'll try to emulate them
How can Adam Driver be both attractive (I've heard a lot of women say this, a majority in my experience) and unattractive (I mean just look at him) at the same time?
I was gonna make a thread but since this one is up, I'll ask here.
Is 2016 too late to go full Jimmy?
>ugly as fuck skinnyfat manlet with the first signs of a thinning crown
>i could ever muster the courage to pull up a pic of fucking lachowski to show my barber
I don't know about other places, but this haircut has become a fad in Norway again. It's fucking cancer.
is this u?
no, and only the first of those posts is mine
> (I mean just look at him)
I get what you are saying, but he has pretty unconventional looks and cleans up well. He's in the same category as Benedict Cumberbatch and Matt Smith, both look are weird looking by normal standards yet garner a huge following.
Similarly guys get attracted to female models with bizarre facial features and women complain how weird they look. Take Cara Delevingne for example. She has an upturned nose, slightly protruding upper lip and massive eyebrows. None of those features are usually attractive yet it works for her somehow.
Okay man you've got seriously good features, but you have to trim and line up that stubble if you want to keep it. It looks like you like keeping the hair short so I'd suggest a low bald fade haircut like pictured, but with a little more drop to the back so it doesn't look like a high&tight.
But what's really up is that you need to get those eyebrows plucked. Your face is going to light up like the sun when you get those caterpillars in order. Trust me I also have low eyebrows.
Yeah, my eyebrows are probably what I hate the most about my body. I plucked them for the first time a few days ago, actually. I used to even some unibrow going. But I was scared to overdoit, so for example I didn't touch the upper side. Should I pluck the bottom more, or start working on the upper side?
The upper side is tad harder than the underside, overdoing it shows a lot easier there.
But the most critical thing here would be cleaning up the underside so that it would disconnect from your pupils. Your neutral expression looks kind of angry and confused because the eyebrow connects visually to your pupils. Check out some tutorials online how to shape them, it's mostly just finding starting and ending and the apex point by pressing a ruler to your face.
Also using your facial muscles more more shapes your neutral expression in to a more awaken and gentle look.
Not right away, but give it a good 9 10 months and this will be a big hit.
Thanks. Here's a more frontal picture after I did some more plucking on the underside. Should I keep going?
Is the macklemore a pretty safe option?
By safe I mean
>frat bros won't become obsessed
>edgelords and trendsters won't become obsessed
I mean honestly it's just a really high fade with a side part. Seems pretty classic/timeless, not too noticeably trendy.
yeah but it's so "normal" looking that honestly wouldn't it blend in? I'm really just looking for a haircut that will be stylish but people won't be like "yeah he's just following that trend" you know?
And I'm talking specifically about the pic I posted, not his undercut days
This is really, really good advice. Thank you for making this point.
> tfw you're born with Jew pube hair
> curly hair will never be fashionable
> no other hairstyle options besides afro
nah man. at least undercuts are timeless but man buns are finished. they are played out now so badly that anyone who now gets one are perceived as late to the trend/trying to be cool but isn't in the know enough to have known it was cool long ago.
nope, man buns are over. give it a few years and girls won;t say shit about them. girls are attracted to what the cool, fashionable men are doing right now - a couple of years back, this happened to be man buns and beards, next year it might be a middle parting. the hairstyle doesn't matter, the men who wear it are what matters.
buns are fairly timeless, too. i mean, what else is some guy with long hair supposed to do when they want to put their hair up? and before you say long hair won't be fashionable anymore, hair length by itself is neither fashionable or unfashionable
most guys before buns were doing ponytails as far as i can tell. never really noticed before. i'm not saying the man bun was never around until recently but man buns aren't timeless at all like an undercut is.
American Revolution-era queues are going to make a comback
>fucking idiots not paying respect to the greatest haircut and supreme leader
Most likely this. Though I cant see to many normies having messy, unkempt hair
That was my haircut in junior high through high school.
Then I shaved it all.
Now I said fuck haircuts and it's grown into an unmanageable mess down to my shoulder blades and gets in my coffee, soup, and cereal.
In Japanese, there's a word:
- ブサかわ (busakawa)
- ugly but cute, or adorably ugly.
He's not an ugly dude but he's not quite handsome. I find him interesting to look at in a curious kind of way.
can you guys recommend me a better cut, or is this one decent enough for a internship i will be doing? i just want to look clean and as decent as possible, i don't really know if i should use a product daily or how to use it either, try not to be too distracted by my unfortunate face and sleepiness
I'm half black with white skin and its obvious im half black
My hair grows in an afro if I leave it unkept, but I hate using product in my hair, and long hair in general.
Scared to post my face (ugly as fuk) or I would ask if a buzz would suit me
If the signs are to be believed, maybe the middle parting. Anyone could probably look back a year and see this was a possibility.
I'm still not sure though. While it's only a small leap from an undercut technically speaking, it's not something everyone can necessarily pull off easily. And my barber says it hasn't seen a growth in demand from his business side (and he gets all kinds of plebs coming in for their meme cuts).
It's hard to say exactly what's in because so much is subjective to ones style and head shape, but I can assure you I have never once been asked to do a centre part. The messy part, sure, the layered "young Leo" mid length cut, even sideswept bobs on men, even the tumblr bowl, but never ever a centre parted mushroom cut.
If you really want to see the direction mens hair is going, I shit you not look at baseball players. Each team has a stylist and they're faced with the task of making each player look stylish and presentable whilst catering to their desires (most having zero fashion knowledge) and their agents/publicists portrayed "image". The team has to look stylish and modern during press conferences and the barbers are always the best of the best of the best as they're getting paid the the top 0.0001% of all hairdressers. and usually you'll see cuts on players weeks before you see any locals wearing them.
>inb4 silly pic of mulleted moustache wierdo
Why indian though? Those guys are usually brownish and have dark eyes.
I have been told i look like a jew before, which is weird to me because they usually have long, hooked nose and mine is short and kinda upturned.
I really dislike beards and especially how they feel but thanks for the tip.
braids, started seeing them in november, i think it will catch on
>I spent the last 2 years growing my hair out just when the bun became played out
>but i dont want to cut it because that would mean i wasted 2 years looking like shit
>I know Ill just throw a braid or two in it
Hey man don't get yourself down. You're pretty attractive IMO. You look a tad pale in that picture but I'd chalk it up to lighting. Overall you have a good face and that hair complements it quite well.
Thanks man, i do get really self-conscious and insecure at times but i try to distract myself whenever i realize it because it's really counter productive in every way. I don't really go out nowdays aside from uni work i have to do, and i was worried if i look okay for the job as i said. I only stop being pale or pinkish if i go out and stay in the sun regularly, then i can get tan but it goes away pretty fast if i don't maintain it.
I guess i should go and get a similar cut again before i go to work, i just want to blend in and be as clean looking as possible.
>I have no idea what I'm talking about
google is your friend
This is perfectly fine male anatomy you mongoloid. There are plenty of statues like that depicting the perfect male. This is NOT what recessive chin or weak jaw is. I feel weird for having to spell this out for you, are you a legitimate retard?
>he really believes 10/10 models have weak jaws and chins
hahahaha holy fuck are you some kind of inbred habsburg chinned freak or something?
i imagine pic related is your standard of beauty for a male?
considering the fashion world likes tends towards androgeny and not masculinity, you should look into taking your head out of your ass and stop taking your cues from statues of malnourished 5 foot nothing manlets
last time i saw a fag looking like that guy in the pic i started yelling "hey slim shady" and kept repeating loudly "real slim shady please stand up, please stand up" and the two girls with me started laughing really loud, they guy was obviously BTFO and ran away lol
Wow, you're so cool anon. I bet those two girls were really impressed by your wit, finesse and unsurpassed knowledge of popular culture.
I wish I was as cool as you when I was 13!
Wait but there's something you forgot about... what was it... huh...
NO ONE GIVES A FIGGITY FUCK ABOUT BASEBALL YA SPICY LITTLE CUNT LATTE. I DONT EVEN LIKE SPORTS AND I STILL KNOW YOURS IS THE LAUGHING STOCK OF ALL THE OTHERS. I BET WHEN ALL THE SPORTS GET TOGETHER IN THE LOCKER ROOM THE LAUGH AT BASEBALL'S LITTLE JEW PENIS.
It was cool like b4 we were born though
the pic is actually kinda old now, i posted because i don't have many pics and this one kinda shows my face and head shape and yeah now my hair is even longer and i need to visit the barber again so i was wondering what to get
dont pluck your eyebrows, just dont let the stuble get too long and do whatever with your hair. dont listen to these trendy faggots with their meme cuts and "manscapping". srsly man you look pretty good (masculine features)
What do you guys think about this hairstyle? Not me on pic
Undercut w/middlepart is what's up
also lol @ something as ambiguous/broadly defined, classic, and simple as an undercut being "played out". Shit's been a mainstay since the 80s AT LEAST, I literally cannot recall a time when they weren't damn near omnipresent at punk shows.
The manbun as defined by the recent trend (ie stupid-ass little knot/nub of hair at back of head) is totally done though. Men with actual long hair wearing actual buns is still fine and will always be fine, but stupid artschool shitbags with Samurai Jack hair are living in the past at this point.
I have a #2 sides and back, top bleached and been letting it grow a little, started middle part independent of /fa/ influence when it got too long to do a clean sidepart/line on either side. I liked it but was unsure, and got mixed reviews from the bitches.
Middle part is probably gonna become a little popular at least, but early adopters will have it rough. Personally I wanna try the messy bowl undercut thing but I can't find any good pics to show my stylist.
>bleached my hair a few months ago
>complete strangers across virtually every age group now tell me how cool my hair is
>random qt girls and dudes tell me I'm gorgeous
anon bleached top/natural sides will literally turn you into a god if you have the face for it
is it too late to hop on the mullet train? i don't want to look like a bandwagoner
I used to have the undercut but I started to hate it when I saw everyone get it. Also it kind of became the quintessential douche haircut where I live, so I just stopped getting hair cuts.
I hate it now, wat do
This is the only hair thread I saw so Fuck it
The undercut is played out and has transitioned to a blended, tapered version of itself that's a little shorter on top and not as dramatic. It's going through phases and will eventually morph into something else.
I'm betting the next trend will be something messier as a reaction to these structured 1920's style haircuts with hard parts and combs.
The crappy thing is going to be the economic hurt on the barbershops and products that have built up around these styles, but maybe they'll be a more permanent staple as men go to barbers instead of salons regardless of the type of cut they want.
The answer is definitely not on /fa/ though.
This is not me, was just thinking about getting this haircut. I have a similar face shape but wider jaw. Also not sure how to use gel... my hair is naturally malleable but not sure it would stay up that high kekekeke.
>go to Korea
>take pics of qts of all genders
>1 year later take out the photos at stylist
Congrats you are now one year ahead of the americans, easily enough time to maintain a style as it goes in vogue
For medium length hair, use very little medium-hold matte pomade, not gel.
You use very little of it and you use it on the ends of the hair (not the root).
Trust me - my hair is the thickest hair you'll ever see and it has a mind of its own, but some TLC and some matte pomade and it's doable.
Should I change anything ?
