clark's desert mali boots. better in beeswax or rust leather?

pic related, my pair of rust leather. the one with creases i wore for only a minute or so. i'm scared they will looks kinda shitty with tons of the yellow creases after some use, so thinking i might should have gone with beeswax?

Beeswax; I love mine. Just don't wear them in wet conditions, you'll eat shit.

beeswax, those rust creases look like the equivalent of fake fades on denim

i have bees wax malis, i like them lots. First time I treated them though they got substantially darker; like almost black. That was probably like a month or two ago, they've lighted up a little since but still no where near where they originally were.
