I've been gone for a while. Where the fuck is the palewave thread?
>inb4 palewave is kill
im a fan of the darker pale pallete. beige, brown, cream..olive.
copped this jacket and was wondering if anyone knows anything I can do about the black trim.
Anyone know where to get good quality flecked wool pants?
Been having a problem finding any beyond asos which aren't really up to scratch.
yes it can but you need to be very aware of the colors you're wearing. although jewel-wave is typically a better alternative for non-white people.
>I too wondered if I could be pale, so I just dove in. Just wear what you think works and remember that not everything has to be pale. It just has to work. Good luck man
These and some light wash Levi's are coming tomorrow, i did it boys. What should I wear on top?
Still the best pale fit of all time.
Check Urban Outfitters. I found a pair on sale for $20 there and are actually decent quality, and look exactly like the pic you posted. I think the brand is CPO Provisions.
Shoes are Hender Scheme AF1's. They are really beautiful, but really expensive.
Any recommendations for mid-high quality, skinny lightwash denim? Like around $150
pic not directly related but relevant
need pale skinmy jean recs, Levi's seems to be phasing out the 510 for some stupid fuckin reason amd the only good pale colors for 511 aren't in stock in 28/smaller waist, the uniqlo ones posted earlier are also not in stock in 28
actually scratch that, which pair should I cop
not to turn thread into a personal c/n but here's a better pic of that wash, seems like it could either be perfect /pale/ or too vibrant depending on the specific pair, what u guys fink
Nike just dropped this colour way so be fast...white midsole tho.
Both APC & American Apparel just released light washed jeans (obvs. not in sale). Ended up getting the AA ones since it just looked better on me, even if it probably is lesser quality.
Also how is the quality of AA denim, first pair?
Good sneakers for palewave? I wanna get the new tubular dooms
CPs and all assorted lookalikes
all-white or off-white or gray chucks/vans or lookalikes
certain low-contrast colorways of asics, NBs, etc.
I've actually been considering white derbies too. Tell me this guy doesn't look fucking dope.
looks good but imo palewave isn't just the color palate, but rather applying said color palate to a slightly slacker aesthetic
pale fits that aren't super casuak look gr8 but aren't really "palewave"
still that fit is dope as fuck
Does your face affect which style you can rock without looking like shit?
You wouldn't see a white guy dressing like a "wigger" without looking like pretentious shit.
Here ya go bud
don't find the quality to be that good, but not terrible. personally found the AA fit to be weird as they're unisex so the ass was mad baggy to fit in those cute tumblr girl butts I guess. also fabric had a fair weight but was softish as it's washed denim and I personally hate when new denim is like that (however its nice when it becomes like moleskin over time). I've heard people have had the crotch buttons and rivets fall off (!) before but it's purely anecdotal, plus APC aren't the be all and end all of denim either, p overrated.
>the more you know
Some real nice stuff on here
Some real disgusting stuff too though
personally I say don't ever tuck your jeans into your socks man. It doesn't look chill it looks wrinkly and weird. If you want your socks to show, bend your cuffs or get them hemmed to be a little higher around the ankles. That's just me though hombre
If you think you like the look of having your pants tucked into your socks (maybe your socks are big and fluffy and oversized or something) then by all means go for it. Ride the palewave man.
thinking of sun-bleaching pic related to use in pale fits, thoughts?
fuck , and they are my fav sneaker too. Looks like I'll stick to GATS and my nastase.
Not exactly what you're looking for but yeah
thinking about copping some JM Chukkas
prob wear withem with a white tee and light blue 511's
I love it because I'm tiny as shit, so if an XS is still too big and doesn't shrink I can still make it work with the pale aesthetic
i need to get some sweaters/cardigans/etc that are pale and not just super light blue or grey tho
WHERE CAN I GET ANYTHING IN THAT PICTURE
My point exactly fuckwad. APC has great light washed jeans. You're just not trying hard enough. every one wants to be spoonfed and especially for basic shit you can find in seconds
Could these chinos work for palewave fits? Trying to cop a couple outfits had trouble finding light grey trousers, could these work?
anyone have ideas for palewave in hot weather? i just cant seem to find shorts that dont look super preppy/fratboi
do i have to just suck it up and always wear pants?
Thoughts on the left ones with light blue 511s and a white shirt or cream sweater?
is this pale? I don't like flat shoes
I can confirm that apc has light washed jeans. Just went to the store two days ago. And if you would have read the thread you'd see that I wrote about this already (ended up getting AA's tho).
yeah the issue is that jewelwave was an offshoot of palewave and definitely didn't have as much love and care put into it as palewave did. If you remember there were "eternal palewave" threads but jewelwave threads would come and go. It's not too late to start unifying a theme, maybe make it about cleaning up the look of pale wave. Since pale is about being chill and (relatively) comfortable. Jewelwave could be about having a more refined aesthetic.
Although for me, I look at palewave and jewelwave as two halves of the same coin. If they were the elements palewave would be water and air and jewelwave would be fire and earth. Palewave feels light on the eyes and flows together and it gives the impression of weightlessness (imo), so jewelwave could be the opposite. Heavier cloths and bulkier silhouettes combined with more vibrant colors and tight fits in areas that are not normally fitted (kind of how rocks and fire have shape but it's never defined (as opposed to air and water that doesn't truly have shape)).
I don't know I'm just kind of rambling at this point.
letting seasons dictate dress (beyond functional pieces like a bigass puffy parka and gloves or w/e) is dumb t b h
summer is "blonde season" yet here I am with bleached hair in january
I like this idea. It could just be applying a bit more color to the basic concept of palewave (hell a couple of the fits in that album I would eveb call palewave because the colors are cooler and faded/washed out), but then it would just your regular ol' slacker look (which is fine in and of itself); I think there's some real potential for creative fits in exploring how to make it a more complete opposite/foil/inverse/etc to palewave
wings + horns
and pic related may not be pale but its my fav minimal pic i picked up reecently
i think it looks not great with pants, better with sweatpants, since its something inherently super casual.
that said, i do it all the time. i prefer the silhouette of pants tucked into boots, and its easier to tuck if you tuck your pants into your socks first, then when i change my boots to shoes, i dont bother to untuck because it keeps the cold air from going up your pant leg or getting snow or anything up in there since the socks ride down.
Going for the "robin williams from one hour photo" look, I see.
murano is one of my favorite brands
so this with
these shoes and these pants will be pale enough?
My fave palewave shoes.
Mine are kinda dirty so they have a more beige color, and the material for the insignia keeps the insignia a much whiter color than the rest of the shoe, but it looks alright. I see what you mean though. I don't think it's that noticeable.
My vintage Stans are in really bad condition, what do I replace them with?
I don't particularly like the dark green tabs on the regular stans, and I can't seem to find the vintage ones around.
witch one should i cop to go with creamy shoes(shoes like pottery) ?
anyone can be ride the palewave hombre.
Your question pertains less to the style and more to what colors you should wear.
here is a chart depicting the complementary colors, and how you can use them to your advantage (or disregard them to your dismay).
if you have a warm skin tone, typically to compliment that you would use a cool color. and visa versa. However, that doesn't mean you have to restrict yourself to cool colors. Warm colors can help to "drown out" the color of your skin and you can use a cool color to either accent or draw focus to a particular piece or shape.
If you have the time, perhaps go to target or something and grab a color shirt from each of the primary colors (red, blue, and yellow) and try each on. Observe which colors you think work best on you. Then perhaps find a shirt that is a mix of the two colors you think look best. How does that color look? It's a process of experimentation and style.
I'm a black guy and I mostly wear tan, beige, green, and blue. The cool colors complement my skin tone and the warm/neutral beige's and tans provide harmony with my skin tone (which naturally has a more yellow sheen as a lot of black people do.)
You can do more research online and find out about what colors complement your skin and then you can apply those colors to palewave by finding the washed out versions of those colors and seeing if they still work out. To play it safe use more neutral colors like brown and tan.
I hope that helped a little.
I would say yes, but it depends on how light the wash is on the jeans. If they are damn near white you probably shouldn't.
>pic related is too light.
>not enjoying a nice boiled egg or two, and a biscuit for breakfast
>not enjoying a nice salad, beans and rice for lunch
>not getting into your pajamas and enjoying curry or a hearty soup for dinner
the key is to find non greasy, non colored food.
Salad is my favorite choice, careful with cherry mother fuckin tomatoes though. Those bastards will fuck your whole day up.
how 2 palewave in an amusement park?
>tfw heat ruining ur ability to /fa/
Sorry i meant in response. The pants in >>10814091
cannot find them in urban outfitters like you said or anywhere
Should i wear pic related with black pants or pale blue jeans? I know thus is a palewave thread but im looking to see if this would be better as a pale fit or better with black jeans
Those shoes are ugly as fuck desu senpai
Maybe these are better?
Pale wave just doesn't feel 2016 to be honest family.
I think Rich Deep Vibrant wave is where i'm hoping we're at by the end of 2016.
maybe this place isnt for you
